The stromg pull of knowing whats in it has a certain appeal to it. Additionally having a hobby that unlocks a few skill sets is an added bonus. I think the cost savings deserves a strong *. The homebrewing community is pretty awesome and one of the most open that I have ever been a part of! As you said there are a couple knuckleheads but over all it's all about sharing information to get better.
I did a video recently on this asking if anyone is still brewing and then listed some of my reasons. You touched on it but many of us have a drive to create, to make stuff. It could be growing a garden or making things out of wood or any number of other things (i.e. music, art). Some of us can't NOT brew. Ha.

Right?? Covid did allow a lot of people to start baking bread and brew beer but now everyone is back in the office 🤬 only the die-hards still brew
