I'm a Mac girl at heart, so I loved watching this and I will be picking up a few of these shadows.
I remember when Mac was that it girl brand back when I was in high school and college for the first degree. All the cool, rich girls had Mac makeup I’m high school.😂
I've been buying from MAC since 1999 and still grab something from them everytime i pass by their store. To me MAC never goes out of style, they were the original and forever will be around. The community on YT may be in and out of love with them but to average consumer and the makeup artists, MAC will still be where it's at
The beauty blenders aren't worth the price cuz they're the same stuff you can get for a dollar but the eyeshadows the lipsticks are worth it I am going to try the mascara cuz that's where I have like the worst luck ever and the brushes the brushes are worth it hunt for sales and clearances but all the other brushes I've ever tried have come apart on me the handles come out of the ferrules and the whole pack of bristles can sometimes come out once you have the skills move up

That matte² line was really nice.
I did this years ago with all my Mac pots and just put them all in a palette too . But FYI those silver magnets u are using only work with the z palette style palettes . They don’t work and magnetize to the Mac empty eyeshadow palettes that are available . U have to buy those black tiny magnets that they use on their single pans and apply them on it . I found that out and that’s what I did

*Tina, if you have eyeshadows with hard pan, take a piece of tape and put it sticky side down onto the hard panned shadow. Then press the tape firmly down on it. Now just remove the tale...The oils that are causing the hard pan will stick to the tape and when you remove it the shadow will be good as new.*
I totally miss Mac squared soft Matte eyeshadows ! They were so good! I love and still have them all - I had to buy them all back in the day! #newly minted was my fav!

Thank you so much for this video! 1 minute on the foil with the stove set to medium and boom came off like a dream and plastic doesn't start melting until about the 1 minute 15 second mark. No actual casualties of the 13 shadows that were done. Some chipping on the first 3, but that was me taking them off before I should have.
LOL Here we go.. LOL getting my shadow collection all the way together. Thanks for sharing how to depot them as well.

Wow, I haven't purchased a MAC eyeshadow in ages and they were my first love. This video brought back fond memories especially depotting MAC shadows. I would use my flat iron with parchment paper on the plate so that I didn't damage it and depot away. Now, I am interested in checking out MAC's new eyeshadows. I remember back in the old days of UA-cam I learned to depot with a flat iron but (my) MAC store wouldn’t accept damaged pots 😑 or pots without labels.

After watching the Pat McGrath video, I decided to depot 3 of the smaller palettes and just keep one (since the packaging is so nice lol.) I used a knife and a lighter and it worked great. The only ones that broke or cracked were the 3 matte shades. This week, I decided to depot a few other palettes to get more use. I bought the Adept palette. It holds a lot, but since it’s heavy I will use it to store my pans. Then for regular use, I will switch out shades to my mini palettes so it’s easier.
After getting rid of a lot of old makeup, I m going to try and focus on buying less and using what I have. Cuz throwing out makeup is not fun when I think about all that money spent 😅 . For the sephora sale , I bought the things I really wanted to try.

I depot and repackage all my eyeshadows....and palettes. I save some of the pots for transport, but mostly redo them all. I have my own system. If I kept everything in its original packaging....I would not have much room. I can't deal with different shape/size palettes. Its too much.
in the uk I haven't been able to bring back anything that's been depotted which sucks

I wish morph came and individual colors because they're about is finally milled as the basic marks on their extremely cheap like you can get a 40 color palette for 20 bucks but 30 of those colors are ones I will never use

Did they stop allowing people to back-to-Mac at Macy's? It's been years but I use to take my empties to the Mac counter in Macy's and it was fine. 🤷🏽♀️
Yes you can Bac2Mac at any MAC counter (such as in Macy’s) for a lipstick.

Why not just buy the refill instead of going through all that?
Because I got them with Back 2 Mac which only gives the pots...🤷🏽♀️ and it can help others who might want to depot their existing shades.
Do you even use them ? Because you have no videos of you using them new eyeshadows..
I also don’t film and post videos everything I do.
