I’ve been wearing makeup for years, but your Masterclasses always help me. As an aside, for anyone wondering about purchasing MG brushes…I bought a MG crease brush and the exact same outer v brush in this video over 5 years ago. I use both of them every-single-day and they still work as well as they did the day I bought them!! Just an FYI for anyone needing great brushes at a reasonable price!! 👁 💜 🖌
Totally agree! I love the MUG eye brushes! I even bought several back-ups since I use them daily... that way I have x-tra sets to use until I can wash the others.
Same here. I’ve had mine for well over 6 years, and they still look brand new. I love Marlena! She is just such a classy woman!

Thanks Marlena! The right brushes are essential for a great outcome. Don't skimp on brushes. But don't go into debt for them either. Do your research and read reviews. Some amazing affordable ones out there. I'm an artist and its the same in the studio, get good staples and your work will thank you for it. It makes the world of difference with the right tools. Your expensive MU (or any) won't look half as good if its poorly applied. I really got into MU about 5-6 years ago and one thing that changed it all was getting to know and use the proper tools. I was caught up in 'oh that foundation (or eye palette or whatever) doesn't work, I'll go buy something else' to finding out the hard and expensive way that it was the crappy few tools I had.
I love the fact that you show wearable looks. Some very talented make up artist on UA-cam show very elaborate and difficult looks that are also unwearable for most people.
Uff I love that Bdellium Small tapered brush. So good
I don't consider myself a beginner, but I totally learned how to tweak my technique to make my eye look a lot better.

This is the first eye shadow tutorial I've watched that's to the point, simple and practical. Immediately subscribed. She makes it easy to understand. Marlena, I just turned 50 years old this past week! Yay! Your video on how to blend eyeshadows was the FIRST time I’ve ever been taught how to put on eyeshadow properly and I’m the “makeup queen” in my circle of friends! OMG! I’ve been doing it all wrong for decades! Now My eye look is so much better thanks so you! Thank you for making this 50 year old look 25 again! 😘

I hope MG will be coming out with eye brushes. I got the new angled foundation brush and it is fantastic. I also grabbed a highlighting and a contour brush on sale that are amazing, too.
I bought like 6 of their eyeliner brushes when they were being discontinued so I can relate!

You are such an amazing teacher and have been at it for so long. I didn’t really get into eyeshadow until about 8 years ago and I am 63, and started watching makeup channels. What does one do if they have extremely hooded eyes due to age and crepe lids that causes skipping when blending?
I have this issue too! I saw in a video somehow that if you use a good eyeshadow primer it can really help with the skipping issue. 🤷♀️ I have been trying it and it's not a miracle, but it helps a lot!

I recently watched another popular makeup master class and it was SO stuffy and boring and I noticed when doing my makeup after I had thoughts like "oh I want to try this but it goes against the rules" this video game me so much inspiration!! I've never done a smokey eye because I don't know how and now I can't wait to try it
