im pretty sure they are just going to handle it similar to how they handled the dota 2 engine upgrade a few years ago. Just 2 different launch options in the menu

I have a pirated copy of CSGO with skin changer in it .. thousands of knives and skins . Glad I downloaded it few years ago . Time to kill some bots with those skinzzzz lol
yeah no shit xD its an update. The core game is the same afterall. So it wont be a new game and the old one will be deleted,just the old one turning into the new one. Also "they are forcing us" is kinda harsh way of saying that there is no reason to keep the previous version of a game seperate that will eventually devide the community
You will definately have the option to launch csgo, just like we can launch the 2013 version of csgo now.

A lot of TOs use HLAE. Some actually developed a node-based system to create live cameras.
