I mentioned in another thread (video) you made that I am in trucking here in California, working locally (when my right foot isn't broke), I worked in long haul trucking for quite a while, and did it again recently and believe it or not, I was always a basket case even though I'm not married, no kids, etc. It sucks being lonely, and not everyone is cut out for that life. Depression is something that you HAVE TO watch out for, and to NOT let it eat you alive. Keep your chin up, or as my Mother used to say, "keep a stiff upper lip", and I know you will find something completely awesome that will make you very happy. BTW you make really great video blogs. :)
i don't know why but this made me so emotional and i don't even know you personally. all i can tell you is thank you, thank you for your amazing vlogs Lauren. I started following you in the summertime as i was counting the days to join Emirates. A few weeks after recieving my GC, EK decided to withdraw my application. I was devastated, crying, heartbroken, gave up on my job, friends, and life because this is all i ever wanted and worked so hard for it. so your blogs helped me a lot, even though i may never get the chance to be an EK Crew, i lived it thru your vlogs, so thank you for that. I wish all the best and hope you continue to make vlogs (especially about this new adventure you're keeping quiet about hehehe.....cant wait to know) xx thank you darling
+Sabrina Remli aw darling this almost made me cry! Please don't get too sad about Emirates, I've heard this happen to many people, I know the company is restructuring the now and have paused the hiring process, so please don't take it personally. You sound like such a kind and genuine person I know you'll go onto great great things! Thank you for watching Sabrina and I'll see you in the new year :) big hugs xxx

Aww I'm going to miss watching your Flight Attendant vlogs, but I'm looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for you and watching vlogs of you back home! :D xx
so sad to hear you're leaving Emirates. Can you make a detailed video on pros and cons for working as a cabin crew for Ek also sharing your experience with the company and why you left. Good luck for your next chapter and Happy new year to you and David :)
hey Lauren! awwww,, I've always considered working for Emirates my dream dream job and hearin u say ur leaving makes me sad.... but I guess Its for the best,, follow your heart!
Do you have any idea how many thousands of pretty men and women would gladly trade places with you in a heart beat!!! It is exceedingly difficult to join Emirates as a cabin attendant!! I wish you all the best!! I love your Scottish accent!!
Lauren McKenzie: I am sure your life must have had to be better than your life aboard Emirates otherwise you wouldn't have resigned. What I would like to know is what provoked you to quit and also what are the cons of being a flight attendant primarily in Emirates? I have heard and read that the turn over rate for flight attendants working for Emirates is relatively high which is surprising given that it is one of the foremost airlines of the world.
