I can see why this guy is the president of the tourism for Cascais-laid back, eloquent, diplomatic, and knowledgeable. And he pronounces _kilometres_ correctly! Great!
It makes me very happy to hear Bernardo say they plan on keeping Cascais as it is and not turn it into some New York or Hong Kong, with huge buildings and all the population that comes with it. It's great that some places still maintain their charm and spirit in this ever more homogenized world full of concrete towers, horrible traffic and an exploding population.
Thank you so much for all your amazing knowledge of this beautiful place Cascais l holidayed in Villamora some time ago but was nothing like this l love the way you are as people and looking after your little paradise and the free amenities 🙏 that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be a fine example to humanity l will visit soon Bless you all 🙏😄❤️
Glad you enjoyed it! We also can help you relocate to Portugal and get a Portuguese permanent residency! If you would like to do so with the Portugal Golden Visa or HQA Visa, just fill out the form for a free consultation, and we’ll tell you everything on the subject! bit.ly/3xm8kB9
Stay true to your word, I love the Portuguese charm of the old aldeias and towns and cities. I need to go back to my beloved Portugal , I was born in Lisbon and now live in Canada. Stay true to the charm.
Really enjoyed watching this!! I really loved hearing improvements not dislikes.. 🙌👏 I’d love to move here when our boys are at University level, especially since hearing improvements to education.. 👏👏👏👏 very important!! We are in Dubai now but looking forward to this in the next four years!! 👏👏🙌🙌
This person is so right about bringing universities in to attract small to medium sized business that will create real wealth for the local economy. It's the opposite to the US model. Reality interesting interview.
Great interview! What a great man! I can't wait to come visit. It looks like total paradise to me. Hello from Portland, Oregon. It would be great to know the cost of going to a public and to a private high school and to college/university for people with permanent residence.
Glad you enjoyed it! Public schools in Portugal are free. At the same time, the cost of studying in private schools is something between 400 and 500 EUR (440-550 USD) a month. As for the public universities, tuition fees vary between 550 - 1,050 EUR/year for Bachelor's degrees, and 500 - 2,500 EUR/year for Master's degrees. If you want to know more on studying in the country, then read this writing on TOP best schools in Cascais, one of the well-known towns in Portugal! bit.ly/3AgB93B And also do not hesitate to contact us for a free consultation if you decide to get Portuguese residency with the help of the Portugal Golden Visa! bit.ly/3xm8kB9
@Alissa R But but you are from Portland, the land of progressive people so how the heck you want to get out from there and even more to a COLONIZER country, lol! Don't you in Portland hate everything we represent after all?! Don't tell me you want to come here to take down our Statues and put fire on our monuments. C'OMON MANNN! Sorry I had to mess with you when I sow you were/are from Portland, lol! Oh btw we use gendered language ok. 😅 Salute from LISBON and sorry for the poor English. Cheers ✌️
I live in Lisbon and my family Is visiting,. I took them to Sintra and Cascais over the weekend. we loved boh. definitely would consider moving to Cascais.

As is well known, good nutrition and quality of life are two key factors in increasing the life expectancy of a human being and the more that life expectancy increases, the more the number of elderly people increases and with them the need to medical follow-up and care. Although the pandemic has caused the death of a significant amount of Portuguese in recent times, and most of the percentage corresponds to senior individuals, the average life expectancy in Portugal has increased in recent years, contributing to greater longevity. According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), which released a statistic on average life expectancy in Portugal on September 24, 2021, it concluded that, in 2021, average life expectancy increased to 81.06 years, compared to 2021. years between 2018 and 2020, where the average life expectancy at birth was 78.07 years for males and 83.67 years for females. The North region is more prominent in terms of this statistic with 78.55 years for males and in the Center of the country with 84.00 years for females.
Another factor is related to the fact that Portugal is considered one of the best destinations in the world for a person to enjoy their retirement. This implies that Portugal has a good network of medical care.
Yes, it is changing quickly. Actually I liked Cascais better 5 years ago. Who needs 80.000 euro watches?? Or crazy expensive jewels??? Don't go there, please, Cascais!!
I am sorry, clearly this gentleman speaking here (Dr. Bernardo Correia De Barros) has not lived and worked abroad or owned his own company (I don't call consulting or government work a job or work). Manufacturing and Assembly (factories) is the key to success and foundation of any town, city, state or country and brings good wages and know how and brings in taxes and the people that work there spend money. Everyone is not made to go to a University or work in Hi-Tech/IT. You can not rely on tourism and rich people either to move into your town (as evidenced by the Covid Pandemic and now the down turn in the economy, worsened by the Russian ignorance in invading/attacking Ukraine). It sounds to me that Dr Bernardo wants to make this town like Monaco, what "illusion of grandeur" he has...Good luck!
You are not getting it....they don't want those people, the same way that Monaco doesn't want those people. Monaco is just fine....the tourist money and the money collected from the wealthy people who live there will be fine....they don't want the factory guy who is going to raise children who wear their pants below their underwear and blast music from within their cars....I totally get what they want....it's exactly why I want to get the hell out of the US!!! It has become a shit hole.

Where do the Asian/Chinese golden visa takers usually stay?
23:30 never ever pick up a phone while you're talking to someone, that is so rude.
How are dogs kept in Portugal?
29:22 Dogs allowed on the beach ⛱️ could be a game-changer 👍👍.
Considering the quality of life and food, why are people do they have so many medical facilities?

Cascais is beautiful, but it is very expensive. It is more expensive than in Washington DC.

I agree
"210,000 inhabitants" is quite a populous village, isn't it?

Já não é tabu falar da grande jogada do capital russo, que comprou 6 mil milhões de dólares antes da guerra rebentar.
