Can you take the button you installed back off and still be able to use it on another pair of jeans? Or does removal damage it making this impossible ??
Wow, what a generous and thorough explanation! Thank you, thank you. I have two pairs of Ginger Jeans that I've taken way too long to complete (and had a friend work on, too), and NOW I'm ready for this last step, which I was terrified of, until now. Demystifying is exactly the right word. I'm not saying this looks easy, but it DOES look a lot easier than I FEARED. What a simple, straightforward, uncluttered explanation. Can't wait to finish these two pairs of bespoke jeans for my 23 year old daughter just in time for Valentine's Day! Thanks again, awesome video! - Lindsay Curren, Lady Virginia Vintage
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Your jeans are beautiful! I did not realize you could cut the rivets off. I had ordered some and they poked through when I tried to apply them. I will now make them work, thanks to your video.
Very helpful, thank you. Just got thru making my own jeans and they look great and fit so good. I'm so DONE with off the rack jeans with there bad fit and even worse fabric.
Heather, Great video. I do leather work, and make Custom leather items. I have used Rapid Rivets for every, along with copper rivets and burs. Now i want to change things up, so i am Surfing the web for different button rivets and jean rivets like the small ones you are installing. Where can i purches the small ones you are installing? Thanks
This video was/is fantastic! You shared what hardware is available, what's better and why, you carry it, you also mention it can be sourced elsewhere. You share the tools but also what may be used if one doesn't have those tools OR may not need them more than once. Every step is clear with both the how and the why! Really really well-done start to finish! Thank you for your time and efforts! I am a "once in a great while something simple on occasion something WAY more than I have any right trying sewer-ISH" person and will be watching more of your videos! A++++
hey dose placing the button go for the same as if you had a button and it rip/came out over time can you just hammer in a new button or do you make a new hole ? or do i like sew some fabric over it and make a new hole to support it im not 100% witch way to go there desginer jeans and the denim is abit thiner
Thanks so much for making this look so do-able and teaching me I don't need to buy any additional equipment! You've made this much less intimidating, thank you!

My jeans have the nipple style rivets and one of them has popped off. Anyone know if I can put it back? If so, how!

i can’t find these exact rivots and buttons online. Advice on where to find them? Amazon has bad ones.
I came to learn how to install rivets, so as to remove them. Thank you, for the video.

Wonderful! I'm so glad the tutorial was helpful 😊
Can you please tell me a source for the flat rivets? All I can find on the internet are the ones with the tall nipple. Thank you.
Great video! Are you going to make full kits again?
Thanks for shareing
where did you find that tiny anvil?

Is it necessary to put rivets in jeans?
Originally, adding rivets to jeans provided more strength to those areas to prevent rips!

i wish i had watched this before installing my closet core rivets! I didn't know I was supposed to cut them :(

You could definitely add a fabric patch to reinforce the area before adding a new button.
On your video you say you sell the buttons and rivets. I have 501 jeans. How do I get them from you? Thanks!
Our rivets and buttons are available on our website closetcorepatterns.com/collections/sewing-hardware-kits/products/button-fly-jeans-making-kit
