    Thank you so much for making this informative and helpful video! I was quite proud that I could update my jean jacket by myself and didn't have to take it to the tailor!

    I actually found an easier way to remove them, using only a pair of pliers. I use the cutters of the pliers on the other side (the side where you use the screwdriver), only instead of cutting the button the pliers actually separate the two parts as you squeeze. Basically, the same thing you are doing, but a bit faster. I still have to thank you, because I wouldn't have gotten the pliers idea without your video.

    Hi miss patty, I want to thank you I’ve wanted to change my jacket button for years. I was thinking about cutting the river

    • @missmatti
      @missmatti  2 місяці тому

      You can do that too as long as you have the right tools. ☺️ How did it go?

      @ I’m trying to trim the shirt cause right now the bottom of the shirt sticks out at the bottom. I had enough trouble cutting the sleeves off. Cutting the sleeves off wasn’t that bad but now I actually have to cut the material. Plus I want to have access to the interior pockets of the jacket pockets without having to remove the liner. I’m cutting up a 80.00 dollar shirt and I’m just having trouble doing that. Removing the sleeves wasn’t really bad cause I was just cutting threads holding the sleeves onto the body of the shirt. Now I’m actually cutting material. I wear it around the interior of the house just checking if this is going to work. I guess I should just make a template to see exactly where to cut so I don’t really mess up the wool shirt. Thanks again for your advice on the button removal.

    Thank you for this video. I have a jacket from Walmart and each button has their terra and sky brand name on it and it is super ugly. I don't wanna buy a new jacket just to get better buttons especially since I wanna modify it with patches and shit.

      It depend on how big the hole is, as you can see in the video some I just did put back in and others I stitched to make sure the new buttons were securely attached. It’s up to you! Good luck! 😊

    • @missmatti

      I would create a patch either around the button hole to strengthen it and make it smaller, or alternatively over it and then stitch a new button hole.
