- Hey everyone! Stoked to show you my new 2022 Toyota Tundra. Just wanted to show a couple of likes and dislikes. Not really a review video...will be making one soon. Overall..I LOVE this truck, even more than the last generation. Let me know what questions you have.
Yes , it very tempting to buy one
Wait next year
You will thank me.
Really good review. I have had my TRD Sport for about 3 months now. You are right I don't miss my 5,7 SR5 2014 Power Plant at all. We will see about the reliability. Fantastic truck. I love it.
Awesome review! I'm still waiting on mine, same trim and package level. I requested tow mirrors so hopefully I can get those without issue.
That’s nice! My 22 SR5 (same color) is so basic, all the way down to the old school rear view mirror and zero lights in the bed.
I’m rolling 35s on my ‘21 TRD Pro. I got 20 mpg at 65mph on highway. I know the tires effectively change the gear ratio, but the trip was a redundant one for years and I know the exact mileage from multiple vehicles and GPS over the years.
So, I feel confident in the figure I quoted.
Seems that in many real world cases, that Toyota spent years redesigning a platform that actually gets worse gas mileage from a smaller displacement engine that must work harder, which will manifest itself in repairs and longevity.
What?
Down hill with a tail wind maybe..
@@som3drunkguy I was there. You weren’t. Nuff said. Now go get pick up your Ram/Ford/GMC from the shop.
@@ellobo1326 Drive a 2011 crewmax Rock Warrior TUNDRA. Good try though.
No you don’t 😂
I thought i recognized dam road.
Cheers my fellow Coloradan 👍
Ordered mine before the release and left a deposit, still waiting for it. Ordered SR5 crewmax long bed TRD OR in army green. Your is very nice.
Jealous! Would love the green color
Nice overview. I have SR5 TRD Sport on order and glad to get your view. Nice to hear someone not jumping on the waste gate and other issues bandwagon when they didn’t have any problems. Have you had any mechanical or other issues yet? Love your truck.
Thank you for watching, I appreciate the kind words! Loving the truck so far. Tried making the video to point things out that are on my mind rather than being a negative video. Not sure there are any real things I "hate" anyways. I have had one very weird issue where the gas gauge resets itself mid tank. I will make a video of it soon if it does it again. Has only happened maybe 5-6 times.
All depends on how you drive determines your fuel mileage.
Some says 23 mpg.
Truck king did a 26 mpg.
Heated and vented. Look at Katzkins!
Nice review. I’m glad to see with the seating package, you can get a rear armrest. I think with the cloth seats, you can’t get that.
Great video, thanks for the info
Great job on an every-person's type review. Keep them this way please. You mentioned wireless CarPlay. Does it also have wired CarPlay/Android Auto?
It does! I will use it sometimes when I need to charge my phone. It does support both wired and wires less for CarPlay and android auto which is rad!
@@spencersteele7 Awesome and thanks! Looking forward to more of your Tundra takes.
I viewed these trucks as being hideous when they first came out. Couldn’t see past the V-6. But they’re definitely growing on me. Hopefully they get the engine issues ironed out. Would definitely consider one in the future if they did. But the fuel mileage is not that impressive.
Wait 2024. V8 will
Come
Out
Why did you sell the Silverado I watched your review it looked like a good fit and at 15k$ cheaper that the tundra what was wrong with it.
The bumpers and lack of 4wd auto are big negatives.
I like the bumpers and lack of 4wd auto
Who wants 4wd auto?
@@ghilliemanreviews comes in handy when driving in mixed conditions. Stays in 2wd until you lose traction and then the front wheels can provide traction when needed. Otherwise it’s 4wd or nothing.
@@tinshield I know a salesman from a dealership and he’s had multiple instances where consumers kept their vehicles in 4A and the vehicle would get confused and engage 4wd while driving on normal conditions and wear out the differential and drivetrain. Multiple occasions. I don’t trust technology to do what I can manually do. If I know I need 4wd I’d rather manually engage it. Cause a computer system don’t know when you’re hungry right?
@@ghilliemanreviews you trust the salesman though? 🤣
Still better MPG than my 2.7 Tacoma 2012
Nice truck. I like these better than the most expensive ones with the chrome front. I would change the rims to black ones or paint them black. I'll pray for the dual turbo;s
I just priced mine on toyota for 57k...picked that package that gots the heated wheel and ventilated seats...I think the truck looks so good with black paint since...all the chrome on the other trims is corny....plus...the wheels and tires on all the trims are fugly....going aftermarket on the cheaper sr5 trim makes sense
Try locking your truck with the key fob push lock lock third time hold it the truck should start
About the fuel economy, I have a 2022 1794 am my fuel economy is very low I am getting the most 15 miles per gallon combined
Hey! Did you order this truck? How do you do that?
Heard with air suspension it voids the warranty if you put a lift.
Did you order your truck or did you have to take what the dealer had on the lot?
Does yours have oil pressure that stays on the 1 hash mark once it warms up? It doesn't seem to go up when you accelerate.
can you comment on if the rattles at all as far as the interior?
Can’t wait to see what size of tires you go with if your pulling
No dealer markup fee? Great job in getting that deal.
Not all dealers do that
Do you know if this trim comes in lunar color
What bed length is this? 5.5 or 6.5?
I saw in another review where they turn off eco-mode and got better gas mileage. Can you try that and report back if your MPGs improve?
funny enough, I was planning on doing this anyways because to me it drives better when eco is off. I will run a few tanks and make another video soon while just driving in "normal." Stay tuned!
@@spencersteele7 Thanks and looking forward to it.
No tow hooks on front end and no v8
55k for a base 4x4? Geez
What a HUGE disappointment this truck is and sooooo ugly.
I love how it looks
I don't love the rear end of the truck it reminds me of the honda ridgeline
How is the ride quality?
Overall for a stock truck it’s pretty smooth. I enjoy driving it because to me it seems like a larger Tacoma, which is good in my opinion! Air suspension seems to keep the back nice and floaty. Once I get to drive one without I’ll have to compare the two to give my final thoughts on the difference.
I just put 10 ply tires on my and rides still very nice
For all the Tundra lovers out there. Wait 2 years from now. V8 gas and diesel version is coming
😂🤣 where’s your source
