I've put this one, and several others from your Gadget series, into a playlist so I can keep watching them over and over again, and it really is working for me. Little by little, I'm getting the gist of it and I've only had Gadget 2 installed since yesterday. One thing I've noticed is that Korg could have named these instruments after anything. They chose cities of the world, but it could have just as well been colors, i.e, Red, Green, Blue, Fuschia, Orange, etc. whatever. When I first heard about Gadget and the naming of the instruments, even before hearing them, I was expecting they'd been named for certain instruments associated with each city, like a Spanish guitar for Madrid, etc.
Doug, this is a killer introduction to Korg Gadget. You covered some really important stuff here and it helped me a lot. I'm now well on my way to create the first track I’ve ever recorded. Thank you so much for this!
You sold me on getting this app. I was considering getting it for years and putting it off for standalone hardware, but I think I have to incorporate this Into my workflow
HiDoug …. Thanks for a very informative video. It appears the Gadget is exclusively for recording but I always have live performance in the back of my mind.
This is a great primer to Gadgets. I watched it before I even paid for it and now watching more closely since it’s installed. One thing missing from your information is, it would be helpful to start out telling folks that a good portion of your tutorial involves Paid gadgets. Otherwise, is awesome.
Thank you so much for this. I’ve been a keen gadgeteer since it was first released but I’ve become very stuck in my ways, so a beginners tutorial from you is very welcome!!!!
What a great idea, Doug! I bought Gadget a couple of years ago but spent more time playing in Cubasis and various AUv3s, so ... time to give this another try.
Hi. Great video… its any way to control the main mixer with a midi controller? I saw a video and the Nanokontrol can control this mixer or the main fx ? Or map the cc midi. Excuse me for my english
Hi again Doug … I had to come back to add a second comment. I was about to bite the bullet and purchase Ableton Live but from your demo it appears that Gadget has a similar workflow. Using Gadget might enable me to put off a major purchase of Ableton. Do I understand that you can use any instrument that you have in Module Pro in Gadget? Thanks again.
Really love gadget! One thing I’d love to see would be a random pattern generation in whatever scale you have selected like in Ampify Groovebox. It comes up with some great starting points.
I'm surprised I'm having so much trouble with this but I've got a new iPad and I can't figure out how to get all my tracks on the new iPad. Last time I backed up my iPad, set up the new one, and lost a couple years worth of tracks. I'm trying not to repeat that, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for the tutorial I just downloaded the free version and I’m checking it out and I love the sounds question, can you use other apps in this program I can’t see anything in the free version maybe the payed you can?
How do you share user samples between diff devices? I have gadget on iPad/Phone and desktop. Everything shows up except user samples I used in Bilboa. Really like gadget but the drumsamples suck big time
Hi, great video! I have a question: since I'm not using an external keyboard, I wanted to set the onscreen keyboard to a classic piano layout with two black keys, then three, then two again and so on between the white keys. I can't seem to get that configuration in Gadget 2 in the "scale" options, am I doing something wrong or does it just not have that?
as there are no timecodes in the description i figured i’d ask, I can’t figure out how to buy the “extra” gadgets on ios. all i see is a restore button when I’m clicking on them. there surely is something i’m missing, .. it shouldn’t be this hard to do iap’s
Thanks for the “getting started” lesson. I get how I can “loop” or “not loop” a scene. Is there a way to loop the whole song, or is it a linear only one and done? I create backing tracks to improvise guitar and bass to just for fun.
How do I delete an instrument (Track) using Gadget 2? I can Mute, Clear the notes/midi or even swap instruments but can’t work out how to get rid of a track in a Scene. Thanks for yet another excellent video Doug :-)
@@spidericemidasiosmusicprod1309 Thanks Spider. I’ve played around some more and realised that not only do I need to be in the Main Screen but I also need to have the Mix/Vol feature maximised. Then, pressing Function displays the Delete option. Thanks again 👍
Great video for a noobee to Gadget like me (thank you)! I'm surprised that Korg chose to have tracks along the top and scenes down the side - for me it is far more intuitive to have it the other way around (so your song progresses from left to right more like a traditional timeline and DAW). Also, it would be great if you could load AuV3 instruments (but I guess Gadgets need to be quite bespoke to work in the app). Thanks again for the video.
Gadget has cool sounds, but pisses me off it lacks simple features. I like Roland ZENBEATS that’s more worth it. But I seen videos of people making sick beats on gadget.
The best Gadget tutorial ever

Ooh, nice- a cut-out-and-keep guide for Gadgidiots like me. Thanks Doug!
Thank you SO MUCH for this! I just purchased Gadget 2…this really helped me!!
You're welcome! I’m sure you will enjoy making music in Gadget

Much appreciated, Doug.
Top job - cool beans! Thanks!

Hi. I'm just discovering Gadget 2 and this tutorial is priceless! You are a God among me, sir. Thank you.
thank you so much...i 've learned a lot.
Thanks Doug.
Amazing tutorial, thanks a lot!!

Great stuff- now I know why my scenes where repeating :) Awesome Tutorial - very well explained, cheers keen to learn more now.

This was fantastically useful! Thank you very much, Doug! 😃😎🦑 And I was really enjoying the bigger piece at the end, but it stopped! 🤷♂️
Hello, can you say which ipad i need at least for this good stuff. thanks

That would be cool
I believe you can do that on the switch version
You can in milipitas
This app sounds incredible. Well worth the money

No, you can’t use other Apps inside Gadget, even with the paid version.

What key were you playing in ?

I wonder if chords from Scaler 2 can be copied (as MIDI) to any of the instruments?

Main screen. Function. Delete. 👍

know this is probably really obvious but are you doing all this on an iPad? [or some other device?] Many thanks!
All iPad

My wife asks you to stop making videos, she says they are too influential on the family budget ;-)
😂🤣I get this a lot 🤣
