This fabric book idea is great combined with the crayon art on material in your other video! I would "paint" the pages before assembling them. Thank you for these great instructions!
So at 5:18 when you sew the signatures to the spine, are you sewing them in sections to the spine beside one another 'stacked' or one signature stacked on top of the next ? I'm guessing sewing the signatures lined up beside one another within the spine lines? Sorry if it doesn't make sense! And you make the book and then stitch pages or is this only a demonstration but preferable to embellish pages and then assemble the book? I'm sooooooo tempted to make one.
The quick answer is YES! You had it correct on all counts. The signatures are lined up beside each other and each signature is sewn to the spine. (You can add multiple pages to a signature, if you want additional pages.) And YES, I prefer to stitch the pages and then assemble the book - but of course, there is no wrong way to do it. I like being able to stitch pages back to back, so that the knots, and inevitable tangled thread, doesn't show. But, then again, there is nothing wrong with showing your work, or glueing a felt background to the page if you like.
Not for this year…too little time …. But I would like to make Christmas junk journal type fabric book for grandchild… not sure how to incorporate pages from Lille Golden book Into a fabric book ….
There are other videos in this series on how to make this particular fabric book. I have other videos on making other fabric books, as well, that may help add additional pages.

That's a good question, how to combine paper with fabric.
This is great fun 😀 Is there a video for the finished cover and spine, please. I can’t seem to find it. M
Coming soon! I will create a video showing how to add a cover and spine to the existing structure. Stay tuned. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks so much. Loving your channel. Wouldn't be easier to decorate pages first?
Thanks. Yes, you can definitely decorate the pages first. This is one technique, but always feel free to modify the techniques as you wish.
Thank you. New subbie here. Take care.
Welcome!
Thankyou
What was the material you recommend
I use material with some weight to it, like flannel, batting, or a thin quilt (to repurpose). You will attach the stitched pages to this structure.
I think you could have shown more of how to attach subsequent pages to the spine. It’s not clear to a true beginner

Using scraps with printing on them to make your templates was distracting.
