Hi Stacey! Thank you so very much for this incredible video! You've got a real way of teaching it so thoroughly and it seems so easy! I'm looking forward to trying it!
I was about to sew a fabric cover for my Bible with a beautiful bit of Irish linen, was a bit unsure of construction and I’m so glad I found this before I got the machine out! Thank you!
I admire the way you pay attention to all of the details! Your sewing is meticulous and to be admired. The cover is so colorful and I like that the inner pockets are generous in size. Thanks!
Thank you so much, Gale! 😊 I really appreciate your kind words. I’m glad you liked the cover and those big inner pockets! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!
I am going to make one for my Bible.....so glad I saw this about adding batting as its flimsy. Then I'm making a couple for my grand daughter for Christmas who reads constantly!!!!
That sounds like a wonderful plan! 😊 Adding batting will definitely give it that extra structure. Your granddaughter is going to love those book sleeves for Christmas! If you haven’t already, please subscribe-I’m on my way to 100k! 🌟
I'm teaching a Christmas in July class at my local quilt shop. This will be the "gift" idea project. Although I am teaching and giving the directions, your video is referenced, in writing, so when they get home and forget 3 week's later they will still have instructions and measurements. This is such a fun project! My sample is in hummingbird fabric and will be a Christmas present for a friend!
That sounds like such a fun class, and what a thoughtful gift idea! 🎄 I love that you’re using hummingbird fabric for your sample-it’s going to make such a special present. Thanks for referencing the video; I’m glad it’ll be there to help everyone out later on! 😊 Happy teaching!
Hi Stacey. Finally able to watch a video live. Just spent the last two days at the Charming Shop Hop in southern Indiana with Patti Taylor, Debbi Vogt and our driver (Patti’s husband). Tons of fun!
You’re very welcome! 😊 I’m so glad you found the tutorial easy to follow. That’s awesome that you’ve already made three in different sizes-well done! If you haven’t already, please subscribe-I’m on my way to 100k! 🌟
I have just made a few covers but I had to finish with binding, which I did think was a bit surplus to requirements. I wish I'd found your tutorial sooner. I am now inspired to make a few more following your beautifully simple instructions. Thanks very much for sharing.
I’m so glad the tutorial inspired you, Jeanie! 😊 It’s great to hear that you’re going to make more using my method. Thank you for watching, and happy sewing! ❤️✂️
Thank you so much for your tutorial. I needed something quick and easy for end-of-the-year teacher gifts. I know these will be perfect and I can get them made in a couple of days. Thank you again.
Truly looking forward to making a variety of sizes for the different types of books we read and making as gifts for my family members and friends who still love to read a good book. Thank you so much for the easy instructions 😊
I know on the outer piece and the batting you cut an inch longer and wider. But on the fold inside parts I understand an inch longer, but how do you determine the width of what will be the inside flap?
Thank you for such a straight forward and easy tutorial. I was able to follow along with ease! No mistakes! I’ll be posting my book cover on Pinterest and giving your video credit! So happy with the results!
Late at being able to watch the video. First off, congrats Breanna on being the winner of the box! Second, these book covers could additional items to put in our donation quilt package. As I did last year, I have a bunch of stuff started to put in with my quilt(s).
Thank you for this tutorial, I have made two versions myself, with a little snap button added on a tiny handle thingy, and they are just amazingly easy to make:))
Thank you for sharing this video. I have been wanting to make a cover for my books, and I can't wait to try this. I saw a video for using scraps. You showed a link for this video. You now have a new (beginner) subscriber. I look forward to future videos.
Thanks! Loved your tutorial. I had a pattern that had these instructions in it years ago, but I can't find it. It's time to replace the covers I made for my scriptures.
Great for a cover for my Great Aunts' family Bible. Will add handles. Thank for being so thorough.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching 🤗
