I just made my first paracord sling, but it was much simpler, and not as nice as this. This will be my next big project I think.
Otro tutorial buenísimo, compañero, tu que has probado tantas hondas, con cual te quedas? Paracord? Alpaca? Gracias de antemano.
Paracord
Sometimes I'm stupid - I was never completely satisfied with the weaving of the pouch. Works, but doesn't really look nice. I never thought of doing it like you - even though I knew the technique. But it never occurred to me to do it that way. Thank you for the inspiration. Tomorrow is a holiday, tomorrow I'll weave a new sling. Once again...

As feedback for you: I like my new sling. I've never braided in a round shape before and I really like your technique for the pouch. The two strips are nice and close together. They are woven at the ends so that the strips stay stiff together. You can spread the pouch out a little so that a tennis ball fits but it doesn't slip through. Great, that's my new all-time-technique! So far I have woven small paracor-strings into the pouch to prevent it from slipping through, but as I wrote above: I never liked that. I think your technique is great. But I measured wrong, the sling is too short. My boy gets it. And I'll make a new one this weekend. Once again...

I'm currently in the honeymoon phase of this hobby I guess, taking in tips and advice and information from all over, and have just made my first half of my first round braid sling (previously just made a few flat braid ones; everything 4 string). I'll be grabbing this video and use it for reference to try incorporating the pouch like you did; looks like a very good way of doing it. Thanks for the video. 👍

@@volp5502 Thanks for the reply. I still haven't made a round braid version with incorporated braid, waiting for more/new string first, but have to ask... What material did you use for your whipcracker? I am currently just leaving a long end of the innards that I strip and braid but I get next to no crack at all from it. 🤷♂ I don't know if type of ammo matters much; currently I prefer small rocks>bigger rocks or tennis balls.
Also have you tried the flat braid? If so what are your thoughts on that vs a round one? I have thoughts already but have not actually thrown with a round version yet, am very inexperienced, so would be interesting to know.

a few years ago i have made a hand strap for my camera...no idea...4? 5? 6? hours for this little thing...and its no joke...it makes me really agressiv when i constantly have to start all over again 😅
maybe i will look to find a easier one to make...or i buy one...because i really wanna try it out and play a little bit with a sheppard sling next summer 👌🏻

Another great tutorial! Thanks for putting in all the time making! Which do you think is better, the 425 or 550 paracord? And for the pouch should it be the same strength paracord or is 550 better for pouch to make thicker? Thanks!
Same for the pouch. Between 425 and 550 both work well, with 425 I can shoot lighter rocks but I like 550 better. Personal preference, some people like just a single string so everything could work it mostly depends what we like. Thank you so much to stop by and for your words

Before you added the black parracord. Did you take all of the inner cord out? Or did you cut a jut a couple inches out of each side?
@@jessehalsell4530 I just remove like you said a couple of inches of the inner cord on each side to make the transition smoother, prettier and easier
