You're amazing man! Thanks For your videos. Wish You and Kat the Best of luck with this 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
I'll give it a 7/10.
As an anime-only, I'm wondering if I should give a rating at the start of these videos because learning all the aspects that were cut or added to the adaptation can definitely change things.
after you put slim fit
Dude! Your LVL UP brand design and slogan "Crafted for the strongest" would be massive in the gym community. You should consider creating V necks and gym tank tops in dark colors like black, grey or maroon. I would definately buy.
great video. I will give the episode 7.5
7/10 Really wished that they would have left the prisoners fate. It would have shown sung's increased ruthlessness. But the fight made up for it
nah i feel like it being cut was good. it jsut seems a little too early. he just killed a first people not too long ago and yes hes changed alot doing wehat he does with the prisoner in the manhwah seems a bit odd
@@TheGamingTeam101Tgt101 without that scene it hides one of sung characteristic that would be make the show even more worth while to watch.
@@TheGamingTeam101Tgt101thats the point, the system is forcefully changing him to be the optimal 'player'
@@shivashishwar9552 in this particular scene the system didn't force him to kill, despite this priosiner being a horrible person who abused alot of womans, jinwoo threw him into the goblins and watched him being teared apart and eaten, In the scene where he asked about Kim, he said that Kang should have at least finished him instead of torturing, but that's exactly what Sung does to the prisoner, It would be hypocrisy, may be justified? Yes.
@@Gheniel_ Hypocrisy isn't always bad though, he could then reflect on what Kang said, we are killing machines, the views of normies just don't apply to those that consort with death on a regular basis. He would then realise that he is changing and that he understands the other perspective now?
Thanks. Watching your videos feels like watching a whole new episode of the anime ( overlord, mushoku, shadow, whatever ). Your videos are always a banger and entertaining.
Also if my opininion is of any worth: Pay for edgy instagram E-boys to take Pictures with your shirts, it is 100% bond to explode as a brand if you do that
Haha Ill keep that in mind. Didnt even know that was a thing but Ill take a look into it! Thanks :) Both for that and the kind words too 😁
@@AniNewsyou're the Best 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
@@AniNews Yeah the shirts are genuinely cool and something that lots of people with ''E-boy'' style would actually use. By promoting your brand through these E-boys you would get more people to be interested ( and honestly, I think people there would be more prone to buy than people from here, they really like to wear themselves ''stylish'' ).
But again, that's just my opinion
@@IngameofcourseDo you have examples of these e-boy accounts or what EXACTLY to search to find them? I have an automotive/motorcycle/anime apparel brand I am working on that that'd be perfect for. Thank you
Seems like their going a bit slower with sungs mindset difference considering his changed reaction to kims death.
Day 134 of asking for a grand assassin Hassan servant review
One thing I've noticed is the anime is using a smart way of toning back and removing the most gruesome scenes while maintaining that impactfulness in tone. Namely, they're specifically reducing the number of people in certain raids. They only had 13 people enter the double gate raid instead of 17. In this, they only have 3 prisoners enter the raid instead of 4. It still feels like everyone that enters a raid suffers greatly because the anime gives the time to focus on every single character we see enter the raid.
Exactly. One of the theories going around is that the anime adaptation compared to the manga, takes place in the second time he reincarnated after already concuring the world and not the first time as the manga shows. This would lead to the lower amount of people shown in the double gate, the prisoners and the potion used in that excat moment for killing the hell dog. It also correlates perfect to the intel they have shown through out the anime adaptation of the Jeju Island Arc. I really hope this is why, and not just due to deadlines and stuff ://
@@scottthemsen2786 I mean...isnt it simply bcs its following the novel instead of the manga
@@scottthemsen2786Huh? What are you talking about
@@vegetarex155 If it followed the novel, everything would be taking hilariously less effort
@@thomasthecoolkid7228 idk man from what i know and heard it should be following the novel, granted i dont see why even if it follows the novel it changes or adds a thing or 2 for context or scale idfk
Personally, I think it was a good move that the scene was not included in the anime because Sung just recently made his first kill, and if he were to just kill a man like that (even if the criminal did some bad shit) it would just be a little early imo. Also seeing the goku jump especially after what sadly happened to Akira Toriyama just made my day 10x better. I would rate this episode a 9/10
Yeah, i believe the anime wants to take his development slower (anime-only atm)
I love the slow build up, and when he does kill someone out of anger and not necessity (don’t know if you read the mawha so I’m keeping it vague) it will be a shock and question when he got so brutal. But I do feel the anime was rush a bit and I feel they sacrifice the length of this arc to make it to ingris and probably be a cliffhanger of the season with a Arise
@@josegar30 ye its kind of unfortunate when scenes like this don't get animated, especially when they're important to just building up the story in any way.
wrong
@@mosey4121 Okay man thank you for the great one word argument
Definitely a 9/10. The anime had a better representation of how Sung is dealing with all this emotionally, that I forgot he even had emotions in the first place while reading the manga. The storytelling is certainly a step up, and without the extra scene of the prisoner, it showed that Sung could take on a raid boss alone without effort that it didn't need to even be said anything of.
But animation , character design and art style can be improved cause the whowle appeal of solo leveling was art and fights
Story was secondary
@@AniMangHwa_ in movies/films if they cant hook u in the first 8 mins then u can call it a day because it is pretty much over. So the lore/story has the be polish as much as posible u can get away with some shitty frames/bad drawing.
@@Damian_h nope , the story of solo leveling is basic and its appeal always has been the art and fights and a1 pictures are doing barely decent work at best
They put black screen with slashes to avoid animating the whole scene
I've read the manhwa multiple times and i wouldn't have liked the manhwa as much if the art wasn't godly
If they keep going with this level of animation with these generic anime style Design than solo Leveling hype will slowly die down
@@AniMangHwa_ as long as they dont g0 full nanatsu no taisai i think they will be fine.
@@Damian_h it will be fine but not the best
Solo leveling has so much potential because of its amazing fights and it deserves jujutsu kaisen s2 or demon Slayer lever animation
Loved the moment where Kang said "You think you can beat me? I AM KANG!!"
Hearth please! Great Kang variant
😂😂😂i knew someone would notice 😂😂😂
Are you taking about Kang the Conquer from Marvel?
@@Soundwave119 yes of course he is
7/10
I preferred the manhwa this over this episode, the fight was very nicely done but the removal of the final scene with the prisoner felt like a missed opportunity and the death scene was more impactful in the manhwa just as you said.
Keep’em coming my guy. These episode recaps have been a nice respite in between episodes. I’m very appreciative of your work, because I know it takes time and effort. Keep being amazing👍🏾💪🏾
Your recaps / cut content videos have been very enjoyable! Thank you
Thanks for your work.
Appreciate the content.
Thank you for showing all the content missed! It is really cool to see how things went down in the other mediums.
Awesome Videos like always. Looking forward for Mushoku tensei return.
Me too!!!!
@@AniNewsSame! Plus Overlord
@@AniNewsthe question is which series you’re going to cover next season! Mushoku Tensei would be great of course. But, it seems like Slime leaves more out and those videos got tons of views for you.
8/10 i'm going with it was cut for time. I don't think this show is shying away from anything.
I truly enjoy this channel 👍🏾
Feels like "The System" is setting up Sung Jin Woo to be the final boss.
no one would be able to beat Him
Two words higher beings
This is asking for spoilers, watch out 😂
@@Mvtrixx 😆 Fair point. Turned my question into a statement.
Your not wrong but that's only half the answer. Anymore more info about System would become spoilers
8/10 on episode 9! I liked your approach in analysis, comparing some of the differences between the 3 media formats for this series! Very fluid and not spoily! Nice work man!
👍
I do like how when Kim died his head bows. It was a nice touch in the anime.
Keep up the great work sick vids man
The series is great, it’s just a shame that they didn’t add a scene with a criminal at the end, 10/10
If its a shame then its not 10/10 is an important part of the story that shows Sun's change in mind-set to be more ruthless.
Glad you're working on some baller quality clothes. Design's not my kinda thing but ill definitely be keeping an eye on it for something that looks more my thing. Thanks for covering the episode as well
9/10 really good action, loved the animation, and that killing scene left chills man
Your videos are so entertaining thank you for this series.
Awesome video as always! Looking forward for Jobless reincarnation and Overlord to return!
GG as always great video 😊
I commend you on being able to do these comparisons, because I read the novel when it first came out and then the manhwa when it came out. I never noticed the differences so thank you for these.
Thank you for these, greater insights as I never read the manga and thoroughly enjoy the show. Keep up the good work. Also you Gained A Level Up :-)
Keep doing the good work brother
Thank you for taking the time to fill in the important blanks. I wish the anime would do everything, but it is what it is.
Yes please show more of this cool parts in the novel and manga. Like the speech bubbles
9/10 Would have liked to have gotten even a montage of the "boss" fight for the dungeon but it is understandable why the A1 might not have wanted to show such a gruesome scene.
Thank you. I have forgotten alot since its been a long time i read.
Wow u really did detail it auspiciously well
8/10 the changes were not as jarring but seemed necessary for run time. They weren't missed and the episode still flowed well.
A well earned 9! The action was good and we also got some key infomation.
It was a great episode with nothing big to complain. So a solid 9/10
That round winning kill overlay at the beginning was perfect lmao
I've read the first half of the manga and rest of the light novel, but that was a couple years ago, and am now watching the anime, so while I remember what happens roughly, it really nice to watch your video going in to the details side by side. Love your videos from the earlier mushoku tensei ones.
thanks for videos
Epic narration
9/10. Great episode
I need to see more pop ups from the system to fuel my gamer dopamine 😂
I'm honestly disappointed they didn't have the scene. It really does emphasize just how little sung stopped feeling pity or remorse
I ordered the lvl up 3 pack, I'm hype for it! Looks great
Ayee thanks for the support! I know you wont be disappointed 😄
another bangerrrr
8/10 very thrilling fight with impresive visuals
9/10 Sung’s lack of emotions and Kang’s over confidence make for quick but satisfying sequence.
I’m so excited for them to animate the rest of this story, if you’ve finished reading all of the chapters like I have, it just leaves you wanting more 😫
Awesome!
Nice video bro
I enjoy these so I don't have to go back and reread the whole thing again! (I have so many other things I'm currently reading lol).
by the way, is the giveaway still announced elsewhere? I won't be able to catch the next 2 streams! :(
I was surprised they didn’t show it at the end 😂 figured they might do it at the start of the next episode, but not sure.
8.5/10 It was a pretty great episode with how it followed with the plot lines that was set up the previous episode. Like how they did with Kim where they did show his family the previous episode and how he did convince his wife to continue his life of a hunter. Which lead him to be in this dungeon that would be his last dungeon run, and I like how he did say sorry to Jimwoo. Because now when we know about Kim it would be more emotional when he died then if we had not gotten that extra scene from last episode.
Also the fight and dialogue between Jimwoo and Kang was great. As it was pretty good animated in how they where equal in speed at first. Then seeing their different abilities in plays was also good. But my favorite part was the dialogue after as Kang had some pretty good lines to say to our MC
Have you read, he can summon a legion of the most powerful skeleton warriors...
If not this is going to be the next Solo leveling, mark my words, beyond anything.
I would say comparatively better than solo leveling. Anywho, thank you for the rich, informative, knowledgeable and highly entertaining videos your channel produces.
Bravo!!!! 😁
Loved the manhwa and I'm so happy it got adapted. Unless there's a light novel I'm not aware of I know about everything that was skipped. I just like hearing your take.
SL started as a light novel
@@JVision1 brother in Christ. That's gonna take too long to read.
@@sloth9447 I’m just saying it started as a light novel. I’m not telling you to read it
9/10
Actually really enjoying how the anime is slow burning sungs emotions. And this was one of the few episodes that felt longer than it was. Which is always a joy
Solid 8/10. The extra dialogue is a precursor to Jinwoo's power revealed much later in the series. On the verge of death, Kang saw something. That something has a specific meaning towards Jinwoo and his power, and his final statement hits the nail on the head. It's a very good bit of dialogue that nods to those that know, and is a hint towards those that don't.
I apologize for my upcoming comment: *_"WE WUZ KANGZ!"_*
It was still epic. Totally worth the build up in the previous ep
I love you man
Good video
9/10 I think the anime did great and that scene with the use of bloodlust was beautiful.
Honestly, a good solid 8, it was definitely one of the most fun episodes alongside the Cerberus episode, definitely enjoyed it.
i give the episode an 8/10, good charactere interactions, good action, nice passing
Was sad to see they cut that part AND the solo of the boss. It showed how dark Jinwoo was and how powerful he had become. I guess they want Jinwoo to appear more like a Chaotic Good character.
Definitely a good episode I will give it 8 for the epic fight. The only thing I wished they added some for small detail the skip but you can’t have everything you wish for so I’m still thankful for the episode
Thanks. I like the video of solo leveling(I hope that you can continue Mushoku Tensei season 2, Eminence in Shadow season 2 and Rising of the Shield Hero season 2 and 3
the moment the merch person turned around it was an instand buy for me it was just something about the front of the shirt
8 really enjoyed it
8/10 doing great on the vids. Honestly, this episode is a good example of some works using the shock value of original material to get you into watching, then lowing the amount of gore and violence as to not drive away new comes or get in trouble with networks. However, the level of quality of this show makes up for that little issue.
8/10. loved how the effect of bloodlust was shown. now for the next episode. can't wait for scam jin woo
8/10 episode. Very fun.
Lots of content creators claiming they followed the series for a long time. Those same creators calling him Jin Woo Sung. It's nice to hear you call him Sun Jin Woo.
Lol I know it's a small detail, but before the anime not a single person said Jin Woo Sung.
The fight between Sung and Kang is so epic!
The Job change quest is coming… next weeks episode bouta pop off
9/10 easily one of the most entertaining episodes so far. The fight was adapted amazingly and even with the cut content i still think the episode was very well executed all around.
8/10 for me. It felt weird that they just skipped the boss fight even though it was a lack thereof. It's even more reason to show it.
Found this story as the novel was being written then again as a comic
I really love your videos I watch them all the time and thank you for the good time
I may be overstepping but for the understanding of all can you please make a video about solo leveling power level and why they think they way the think because it was said and E rank can’t never defeat a B rank and that will explain better the assassin reaction. I know it may contain a lot of spoilers since more in explained latter. Thank you ❤️
9/10 super hyped episode as a non manga reader I hoped it was a bit longer tho…
*manhwa in this case
Ori and will of the wisps ost in the background is bringing so many memories :'(
Bro my favourite scene was cut
Still 9/10. The only nitpick with this episode is that jonhee didn’t give jinwoo that buff. It’s small but shows how even though she had ptsd she would still would still support the mc
9/10 rating due to how well the adaped this arc from the manwha . Especially with how they built up Kim in the previous episode to make his end in this episode more impactful. I do like Kang got a glimpse of the true source of Jinwhoo's power. I am not bothered by them showing how Jinwhoo deals with the last prisoner and the boss of the dungeon.
Keep up the Awesome work, AniNews!
Really enjoying your skip content wish I could post more anime stuff but atless someone is doing it🔥
8/10 crazy how the anime just felt good throughout and this was a skip towards darker moves
I have been watching your recaps of the episodes, but I still have only seen episode 1. I read the manhwa while it was still coming out with chapters, so I figured its no big deal if I just binge them all at once. I was hoping to actually catch up on the episodes this weekend. I am curious to see if they expand more on some characters that I felt the manhwa introduced and then sort of just forgot about.
I think you'll be in for a pleasant surprise then!
Song,Sung,Sung,Song....
God this was so confusing to me when i first read the comic too XD
8/10
The fight was good and no complaints but one. I wish that they used the song from a few episodes ago near the end of the fight in this episode. I think they played a song in the back ground but I couldn't make it out.
7/10. While it was appreciated that they sorted out everything in one episode, it felt slightly rushed, compared to the episode he first takes a human life
can't wait for the shadow monarch sung jin woo arc job hunting arc
I’ve watched this after watching the next episode and just realized they used the Hobgoblins in that one.
I love the fact they revealed ashborn so early
This episode was a 7.5 for me. Great episode. Would have gave it an 8 if they showed the boss room action like you just revealed.
Your skipped content is always worth the wait.
8/10 the anime shifted into a more serious tone, after Kang (a powerful ranker) being defeated, johee and the Kim didn't see him the same way again, tho the prisoners death was expected, it was still sad to see the other two die without saying what they wanted. Overall im really enjoying the series.
I like how even Sungs sister notices the change in him
9. i rly liked this episode
Solid 8/10 i am glad they skipped the prisoner scene in the end as i like that he is slowly transitioning... And not just a straight up mindless murderer, also we don't need a D rank boss fight anymore, he must've one shot it anyway
Jinwoo lucky big raga didnt have the chance to appear
I wish you make video for Frieren as well ;) Please
