- Not only has Sung Jin Woo been leveling in terms of power and appearance but his bank account has seemed to level up a quite a bit as well. Wanna know how he plans to get stronger and incredibly rich? Well here's the plan he came up with from the cut content in Solo Leveling Episode 7.

9/10, That Cerberus fight was really intense, I didn't remember it being so painstakingly close in the Manhwa. We're really lucky that solo levelling has got the adaptation it deserves.
Having read the manhwa and LN I'd say 7/10 it was good but I felt the LN did more than a few things better

@@annienunyabiz6627 From what I understand there is a lot more backstory and detail in the LN, however I think the action is far better in the Anime
I would say the fight itself was a really solid 8/9 out of 10 it was actually good that he got tore up during the fight and it was longer and drawn out to show just how lethal the monster was. Hes not 100% completely broken as an mc yet but hes getting there.
8/10 I think the direction of making the fight harder, him declining the offer, and the dungeon telling him he can get the elixir of life, all give him better motivation to level up than just because he wants too or doesn’t want to be “weak”
8/10 The choice to slow roll his development compared to previous iterations instead of having him instantly be an untouchable badass makes the character work so much better as an actual character.
I knew I vaguely remembered him accepting the offer right away. I'm also a fan of this change
I feel like the elixir of life should have been introduced later instead on the same episode. It gave him motivation in the remaining half to essentially speed run it in the novel. the gift he gotten was what he wanted which was a key to a dungeon since he E rank. which later is what he needed which is the elixir.
It prob would have gotten more of a impact if it played out like his life flash before his eyes during the fight thinking of his mother prior to the illness. then get a prompt after the boss stating the reward is elixir of life if he complete the climb.
@@Vael221 exactly. We all like a power fantasy but having a slow development really makes the end op character feel like he earned it.
@@ariveekinrian8943 I feel the placement between the Manwah and the anime are both ok. But like you said, having that flash back or something similar of his mom and her condition would give a really great motivator for the climb.

9/10. This adaptation is killing it, and while it doesn't go as in depth as the source material, it makes up for it by showing the important bits and still giving the vibe of what solo leveling is.
10/10 I really love the fact that the Anime is taking a little different approach here with including more struggle in the fights, this makes me feel more connected to the charackter

Intelligence mainly just boosts mana capacity and allows the use of certain magic. Doesn't actually make you smarter

He didn't enter the actual instant-dungeon for one, and two, he did it to test how strong he was... not out of stupidity, he had a higher ego than he had strength at the time and found out, the hard way, he's weaker than he thought for a second
It wasnt an S-rank Dungeon. the Cerberus Area was B-A rank, The Key Acquisition is S-rank means the Key's Rarity is S (legendary)

8, I loved the gore and triumph over adversity, but im not gonna say its the best thing ever
I give it an 8, myself, but I'd also like to point out that according to the fandom wiki, Cerberus was only an A rank monster, so Sung Jinwoo is approximately a B rank hunter. Given the superlinear scaling of power with ranks, this checks out: if he fought that C rank spider again it wouldn't be any trouble, but he had to pull out all the stops and abuse the system in order to defeat an A rank monster. This also checks out with various other details of the Demon Castle Dungeon that I'm not going to spoil here.

8/10 missing doggo head flip, and somehow felt less intense than the previous episode, likely due to the dog feeling impossible to have beaten without the system's cheating plot armor to keep jin woo alive.
I thought the same until I read the manwha and learned what the system was 😅
9 I think this adaptation has been amazing and their decision to do scenes a specific way have felt natural while still feeling loyal to the source material
10, I am a rare only reader of the novel so just seeing the characters instead of my Idea of them is a joy.

Solid 8/10. Probably the strongest episode so far. Mostly due to consistent pacing and no random cuts to people who don't matter for quite some time.

9/10, also i’m pretty sure his reasoning in the anime for entering the dungeon is because of the elixir of life. And cerberus isn’t an s rank monster it’s B rank at least and A rank at most.
8/10 I felt like the way Jinwoo killed Cerberus and how it was done was bloated. Not because of the extra content but because of the cut content and not just building off of that. I was so hoping that it was in the anime but it wasn't. And him really rellying on the Fangs affects to kill the Cerberus the same way he killed the spider. Makes it feel like he just spams the same strategies to win. When in the Manwha it didn't feel like that at all. It felt like he used a combination of his strength (he used to kill the snake) and tactics (he used to figure out the double dungeon) to get rid of Cerberus in the manwha. Overall great episode but it felt like they should have built up on what was their not just adding stuff just to make it seem more epic.
7/10. I think overall it was good but I like this part of the manhua better

8.5 - Though I would’ve enjoyed hearing his strategic thinking when weighing out the dangers of the S-rank dungeon/Cursed box, the somewhat deductive reasoning through the knock down drag out fight with the Cerberus felt like a wild uncertain ride that by the end of it, me and Woo felt relieved and satisfied with the clear line in the sand

I wanted to give this episode a rating of 7, however I like the duality of the episode one being the continuation of worldbuilding and the other being a cool fight, and then the clear reason why he entered the Dungeon (to get the elixir to cure his mommy) I wanna give it an 8.

I liked the episode. I rate it 8/10
Definitely a 8/10 episode, with the fight being longer and giving off a more dreaded vibe on how Jinwoo wasn't ready to pull off a full assault but did give him a sense of how strong he was at the time. But I feel like too much was cut from the conversation between Jinho and Jinwoo that sets up future events that can make those events slightly jarring going forward.
7.5 /10 was a great episode, also saw what you did at 14:57 haha looks like him

I would say 6.5-7/10 as I would liked to have the episode include the "Spoiler" section you mentioned in your breakdown. I would have liked this added because I feel it would have highlighted (again) that Jin woo isn't just getting stronger but he's also still a quick thinker and adapt at getting the most out of situations...

7/10 the missing context of Sung's reasoning for entering the dungeon had me thinking he was an idiot.
9/10. I liked it a lot but some of the Animations where great thought is was Awesome to watch. I actually watched it twice.
9/10, loved the combination of a great looking fight with the strategy that Sung had to use to win.

8.5/10 loved the choreography of the fight and the struggle. Also i like that they showed us the elixir of life which was the primary goal why he rushed to enter the dungen.
I say like 7 there were a few things that were omitted or altered. By the way, the A-1 pictures are doing a great job. NGL, I wish I could have seen the scene in which he grabbed the horn or teeth (I can't recall) and flipped the cerebus since it was an awesome moment in the fight.
As some is now currently on chapter 192 of the Manwha, i rate this episode 7-7.5. Mainly due Jinwhoo turning down Jinho business deal but will next episode agree to it. So making something needless complected and wasting time that could cover something else.
I do like how this video is a compressed version of the stream review you did for this episode. Its similar to what you did for the last episode of Mushoku Tensei season 2 part 1 which I very much enjoyed.

9/10 The boss really showed us that even though Sung is getting rediculously powerful and strong, he can still get the absolute crap beat out of him if he isnt careful. and i loved showing just how far he is willing to go for his family. An excellent use of flashy fighting and well placed plot threads.

Things to note for anime onlys
- Jin Woo is 24 so he can drink
- Yes, the intro of episode 1 was a failed mission
- The Ceberos he fought was not S tier (probably high B, if it was A, he would have died) but is guarding an S rank Environment.
The next arc will be wild (episode 9 will go hard), sad that there is a break next week.

Honestly 6-7 i’m disappointed he didn’t snap the Cerberus’s neck. It’s one of my favorite movies he did.
7/10, I really wish the anime would go more into the details of his powers. I noticed that it only shows the notification screens for a second or two and then has some commentary about what is being shown. Taking time to notice the other details of his growth like title effects and power cooldowns are some of my favorite parts of power leveling manwhas
The mix of story and action continue to be on point for the series. I personally enjoyed the last episode more so I am going 7/10 and we will see how it continues.
8/10, I think the Cerberus fight alone makes it an 8. However, I think the pacing is still slower than I'd prefer. I gotta shout out the cut content cause I'm strictly anime, so you're a 10/10. I feel like that helps expand the depth of the story. My co-worker recently read just about ALL the manhwa and said that the progression and story does eventually become amazing. So I'll be patient and enjoy the ride. And not to burst the Solo "bubble", but has anyone one watched "I got a Cheat skill in Another World" that released last year? SUPER similar. But I've seen spoiler information for Solo and know that it definately turns into my vibe
