OMG The newest episode is a banger, coming from someone that has read everything from the LN's and Manga this episode was better than the LN. I was worried the quality was dropping but they did such a damn good job in this episode it felt like I was watching season 1 again!
Rudeus thinking that he may have been wrong but it doesn't matter because he still suffered for 3 years is not denial, it's maturity. His default would be to sink into self-loathing but instead, he recognizes that despite the misunderstanding he still suffered and clearing it up doesn't remove that suffering and the consequences. This is Rudeus embracing the fact that his life was irreparably changed, but he made the best of it and though he has healed it will never make up for that lost time. Many people may not understand it but this is the ideal path forward when healing from trauma, not the fantasy instant "forgive and forget" that is common as a cheap resolution to traumatic events.
Ruijerds words do make Rudeus thinking regarding Eris begin to change a bit tho and i bet he will come to remember signs of her love towards him eventually probably next season. Especially now that Roxys whole foreshadowed fantasy became true i think Eris wish to protect Rudeus and be by his side will also come true
First, thanks again for these videos with all the "skip" content. I was thinking about the series and the anime as an adaptation. There is a lot of people that still criticizes the series saying that there's "bad" things, "questionable" things, in it. I'll not say that they're wrong, but some of the "bad" things actually aren't. In this episode if it was me in Rudeus place no way in hell I would treat Aisha like that! I understand, Rudeus at this post "lived" more on that other world than on his original world, and maybe he being japanese AND otaku has some influence in him. But beyond that he "went native", so even more all the ways that other world and it's culture are different are normal to him. It bothers me after Aisha started crying exposing the insecure child she is and after the trying to calm her saying that she is his sister as much as the other one he still let her live in that house as a servant. It bother me but I can't understand why it happens and it's something that makes this series "bad". In someways Rudeus reminds me Harry Potter, the character. When I read the books what I most liked was trying to follow the mystery, because at the time I was also a huge reader of Agatha Christie, but from the first to the last book Harry as a character always disappointed me with his thoughts and actions. But also, I think this adaptation could better. I understand even more that what Linia and Pursena did "makes perfect sense", and I understand that is happens now to make Norn even more disgusted by Rudeus, but was it really necessary with all the little bits the anime leaves out? It was already established well enough how much Norn misunderstands her brother, that time could be better used for other scenes and information, no? Still, for better or worse it's an interesting series and story. Lastly... this episode remembered me of an image I saw some months ago showing all the relationships from people related to Rudeus family... and I remember with whom Norn marries and I'm still in disbelief...
The problem with taking away something from the episode to better explain other things is that it changes the dynamics of the show. Even in the light novels. With as much depth as all the characters have the story still really is about Rudy's perspective. So they cut a lot in the anime to show his perspective only. Which in my opinion they still did poorly because they do it in a way of us as a viewer watching Rudy not Rudy's mindset and how he witnesses things. I don't understand what you wanted Rudy to do with Aisha. But in the novel he tells both of them that he will allow both to do what they want. If Norn wanted to live there or not he was okay with it. If Aisha ever wants to stop being a maid he was okay with it too. Since neither have fighting powers they is very little they can actually do but if they both wanted to just become adventurers one day he would train them to get ready for that as well. It didn't matter what they wanted he would figure it out for them. And that's what he is doing there. Sure it is a bit wrong for him to keep Aisha as a maid but forcing them to do anything otherwise would make them fight against him. Which to Rudy's personality. He dislikes that. He hates the idea of people hating him so he is always on eggshells with people. That's why Sylphy in their first night together tell Rudy to be more associative. And he takes it more as be more pushie in bed. But she means it in general he has to fight more for what he wants instead of being a pushover. As for Norns husband in the future. I still find it disgusting and never read any of the side chapters because of it. They added side chapters after the web novel was done and i believe they then included those in the light novel. But i never read the light novel only the web novel. Maybe there is more story behind that and why. This whole series is full of misunderstandings without more context to the story. Ever character has more depth then meets the eye.
@@JoseLopez-gi9sf "Denial" isn't the same as "Forcefulness". I approve Rudeus letting his sisters live their lives, but still, both are still children that needs orientation, and in Aisha's case this doesn't work because what is it that she wants? What Rudeus is allowing is being her "master". He talks about family but doesn't try to make them live as one. Aisha should only help with house chores as much as any member of a family does.
Aisha has been groomed by her mother to be a maid. Specificly Rudeus' maid. So ofcourse when given the choice to do what she wants, she wants to be his maid. I think you are looking at the characters with real life current day values. The world they live in is more akin to a midievel world with magic and monsters. So the way how society works is different. Servant 'houses' for lack of a better term were very common in history. And children were often taught the profesions of their parents. Lilia was a maid and so she trained her daughter to be a maid. Which is quite a very high status profession to have, incidentily. So while from our world it might look like shes beeing treated poorly, in-universe she is treated exceptionally well.
@@demoulius1529 I'm reading the LN now, I just read the first chapter of volume 10! I still stand for all my criticism. Rudeus really disappoints me, the talks and promises a lot, but never delivers. Maybe later LN will change things and surprise me, but when the anime ended I read the next LN ahead and it was a HUGE, HUUUUUUUUGE disappointment. I understand the setting and the different culture, that's not the problem, on the contrary, it's something that makes things more interesting actually, but Rudeus still bothers me. Again, after the end of the anime I expected more of him in regards to how he view and interacts with this family, but nothing changed, nothing improved (at least by volume 13).
@@deathdoor I think you are also missing a part of the series then. People arent perfect. And Rudeus in particular is very, VERY flawed. Its a big part of the series really. But I feel it makes him more human in a way as well. I think most people would have some fields of their life or personality that they would want to work on but never do or never get around to it. Or they find themselves slipping back into old habbits that theyre trying to get rid of. People can change, but it doesent come naturally and it doesent come fast. Often times it takes years for people to do a little better. I personally dont like how Aisha is his maid either. But in universe it makes sense and she has been groomed by her mother from (basicly) birth to serve Rudeus. Even if Rudeus wants it to change himself, how exactly is he going to get her to basicly drop the goal that she has been raised towards for her entire life?

@@Eren-dv4mv after Rudeus discovers Norn has become a shut in like he has been in his past life he decides to talk to her. However being that she's in the girls dormatory he asks linia and pursena for help. They decide to sneak him in to the girls dorm while a majority of the female students are at dinner. They start by sneaking him into their room through the window, it's a dark room and while he's fumbling around grabs one of pursena's bras, in which she tells him he can have it if he wants which he declines. They use a laundry cart to sneak him into Norns room. Once inside he grabs a lamp and a chair and him and Norn keep almost talking but then go quiet. During this time Norn in her head is thinking "my brother came to see me even if it might get him in trouble, I don't know why I've been afraid of him. Yes he hit father, but father and the others explained to me what my brother went through and that father started the fight. I'm honestly feeling the same way my brother did and being how dad was if it had been me I would have fought dad too. If dad were here he would come over and hold me so why isn't my brother, oh wait I've been making him feel like I don't want him around. I should apologize or at least tell him how I feel." Rudeus was also thinking things in his head and finally he decides to sit next to her and hold her. He tells her that he'll always be there for her. They end up working things out and hugging each other. Both with tears in their eyes. It's only a brief summary, if you want the full story I suggest reading the light Novel. It took me awhile to write this as this whole Light Novel has so many things in it that I've experienced myself and it made me cry a lot, which I like Rudeus didn't really do that growing up. I was also displaced for several years in foster care. I also have 1 sibling who loves me and one who hates me. I also experienced the heartache of being in love and having that person just up and leave. Only difference is I haven't found a Sylphy nor have I been able to fix things with my other sister.
I thought Rudy was talking about Ruijerd at the party where Badigadi was in attendance. Why was Badigadi surprised about meeting Ruijerd in Rudeus’ house?
I can kinda understand skipping nanahoshi because its just friendly encounter that doesnt really mean much (unless that present becomes plot relevant in the future) Removing the violent sibling fight between the girls does kinda seem like ...why? Not to say that they handled the sisters badly because they still got the main point across that they both feel inferior in different ways to each other. I would've liked to see those cut aisha scenes and even the norn scene where rudy offers a bath with them My main gripe is cutting the misunderstanding with the doldia girls. Like him clearing up the idea that he doesnt worship the panties but the person that reminds him of the person that changed his life for the better Again not a bad episode but its "disappointing (?) to know that lots of nice character moments got cut, probably to speed ahead in favor of the next arc, which if it lives up to the hype i guess it wont matter to most people if its not a perfect adaptation

Hey I just wanted to let you know about something awesome! Mushoku Tensei Redundant reincarnation vol 1 is in paperback form and is out for preorder. It is going to be released on November 19.
The Irony that the Princecess has slept with all the palace maids that attracted her without bothering to ask consent is the one dealing with the pantees issue. And of course the audience knowing massively more active perverts than Rudius many can't still get over it is ironic.
I've seem thumbnails saying Norm is amazing, but the anime has a long way to go showing this. ATM, looks like she is unresonable for disliking Rudy this much (tho a child). The other one loving him is natural, as he literarly saved her life by not letting her mother travel pregnant in the winter
Andrew comparing Ruijerd to Eris having warrior mentality then proceeds to compare him with Sylphy for the green hair curse. Knowing that Ruijerd taught Rudeus a lot of things like Roxy.... Wouldn't that mean the white bird in cour 1 intro is-- No, listen. This isn't a conspiracy theory! 😮
Aisha not accepting the position as special student feels like a bit of a waste. Attending a homeroom once a month doesn't seem like that hard of a commitment, and let's be honest Aisha would be adorable in a school uniform.
It's the only thing he pronounces with a Japanese accent. It's driving me crazy the whole video. It seems pretentious, even if that's not the intention. Seems like he's "Trying to sound cool/smart".
I'm slightly worried for the anime, even though most of the main points are hit in the story, it seems... rushed now sorta, animation is still good, but it seems slightly less good, hopefully the budget stays strong so they can finish it as an anime. Also I'm not done with the novel yet, but sorta close, I'm around the parts where rudy meets that weird girl around that garden or whatever
This was a disappointed episode for me. It could have been so much better. If they just showed more of Aishas tears or the fact the Norn always looks at Rudy in disgust. Instead she always has this sad face. Norn is supposed to really hate Rudy and they just skip over that. They could have at least showed it in her face.
Doesn't Badigadi disappear after meeting Ruijerd at Rudeus' house? If I'm remembering correctly he's not mentioned being around except that he's not showing up anymore, what happened after this?
Thank god I don’t live in a world where cat-girls are real. I would simply need to be in jail if it were real. Or I’d be dead. Probably dead. But oh what a death it would be.
The thumbnail is misleading if you're not familiar with the web novel / light novel. You know when Norn is the only normal person in her family besides her mother and father who does not marry their relatives we all thought Aisha was the girl who had everything together boy was we wrong
😂 about that.. and idk Rudeus and Eris arent that closely related Also how is Paul normal dude graped Lilia when young. Norn just has the most normal issues as she is just a selfish daddys girl. Which is understandable Zenith is the normal one if anyone depending on your standard of normal normal how as in ability or sanity/how fucked up they are?
Here on Earth everything that we think is wrong is perfectly normal in the six face world yeah what Paul did To Lilia was pretty but again that is something that's normal in the six face world Rudy and Eris are cousins Sweet Home Alabama Luke Rudy and Eris are related to each other in some shape form away Sweet Home Alabama but this is perfectly normal in the 6 face world
Eris is my least favorite character of the anime but I'm looking forward for more roxy syhie is ok but I can't wait for more norm too but I'm dying for more Roxy I need it fast man...
I was very much disappointed in this episode, to be honest. However, I know that the reason why it was so underwhelming is that those scenes didn't have room to breathe, but it was disappointing nevertheless. On the other hand, did you notice that (small spoilers below) Anime is doing everything to not say that Lilia was the second wife? There is no mention of polygamy in this world yet, and I am curious how they will handle the Roxy marriage...

As an anime-only I can’t thank you enough for these videos. Mushoku Tensei is such an incredibly well fleshed out story, and the characters truly feel like real people. Getting to see the story from different perspectives is making me fall in love with this show all over again. Keep up the good work!

Nora hates her brother very much at this point but throughout the episodes she’s gonna start caring for him
I feel awful for Rudy, he really didn’t mean to cause her any harm.
I thought that in her pov chapter she says she didnt hate him at this point that she was just scared of him
@@Finderskeeper98763Her first time meeting her big brother was him angerly hitting her father. Then, she didn't see him for YEARS. Of course its gonna be weird for her
Didn’t she see that Paul hit Rudy first?
@@Finderskeeper98763 no she wasn’t around. She came at the wrong time when he was hitting his father
Just finished watching the episode and it does say there are 2 letters and that the first is a copy of Paul's letter and the second asks him to send them to school but that is it. The anime doesn't mention that the second letter is from someone else and it doesn't go into details beyond "send them to school." Nitpicky I know.
That was a deep dive thank you sir
OMG The newest episode is a banger, coming from someone that has read everything from the LN's and Manga this episode was better than the LN. I was worried the quality was dropping but they did such a damn good job in this episode it felt like I was watching season 1 again!
Ok this is now my favorite channel for watching after the episodes, YOU GET STRAIGHT TOO IT.
Keep making long videos! I love your content, especially mushoku!
No way did this go on for way to long!!! Really good video. Thanks for doing this. Great judgement on no spoilers vs filling in anime only fans! Keep it up!

Thabks for such extensive job on this
I cant help but notice those cut lines, like Norn's disapproval of Rudi drinking that day. "Grandma" was a terri le influence. :/

I thought Rudy was talking about Ruijerd at the party where Badigadi was in attendance. Why was Badigadi surprised about meeting Ruijerd in Rudeus’ house?
Good content. Keep up the good work.
This anime is more like a family counselling therapy
watch the whole video :). was a nice run down of it :)
I found the ep as an LN reader nice.
Great video and episode
Thank youuuu
I can kinda understand skipping nanahoshi because its just friendly encounter that doesnt really mean much (unless that present becomes plot relevant in the future)
Removing the violent sibling fight between the girls does kinda seem like ...why? Not to say that they handled the sisters badly because they still got the main point across that they both feel inferior in different ways to each other. I would've liked to see those cut aisha scenes and even the norn scene where rudy offers a bath with them
My main gripe is cutting the misunderstanding with the doldia girls. Like him clearing up the idea that he doesnt worship the panties but the person that reminds him of the person that changed his life for the better
Again not a bad episode but its "disappointing (?) to know that lots of nice character moments got cut, probably to speed ahead in favor of the next arc, which if it lives up to the hype i guess it wont matter to most people if its not a perfect adaptation
We’re now past the manga, I hate not knowing what’s going to happen, but I’m going to fix this, I’m going to buy the audiobooks. I absolutely love that Seven Seas have brought those out because I’m not reading the novels.
There are free audio readings of the novels on youtube, dude. Buying the audiobooks supports Seven Seas way more than the people who made the story

Wouldn't that mean the white bird in cour 1 intro is--
No, listen. This isn't a conspiracy theory! 😮
Aisha not accepting the position as special student feels like a bit of a waste. Attending a homeroom once a month doesn't seem like that hard of a commitment, and let's be honest Aisha would be adorable in a school uniform.
Someone please explain why he pronounces "Eris" as "Eddis"???
Eris. Rolled R
Aisha best Aunty!!
she sure loves her cute little nephew doesnt she :D
The anime is moving speeding pass the current manga issues since it's going so slow.
They did skip a lot but still a great episode.
When do we get to the Roxy labyrinth scene?
Ediz?! Is that Eris you're mentioning?
Yes. He doesn't use notes, so he makes the same mistake over and over.
I find that people pronounce things differently. I heard a guy say isekai a completely different way. (I pronounce it "is-a-kie")
It's just that there's a big difference in Ediz and Eris, with or without notes 😂
Bro, "is-a-kie" is slaughtering the word isekai 🤣
But again - There're a many names I can't pronounce correctly. Just like Ruijerd (or Yoruichi from Bleach) took me a long time to get correct 😅

I’m glad they skipped most of the naughty bits bro get your mind right
The thumbnail is misleading if you're not familiar with the web novel / light novel. You know when Norn is the only normal person in her family besides her mother and father who does not marry their relatives we all thought Aisha was the girl who had everything together boy was we wrong
😂 about that.. and idk Rudeus and Eris arent that closely related
Also how is Paul normal dude graped Lilia when young.
Norn just has the most normal issues as she is just a selfish daddys girl. Which is understandable
Zenith is the normal one if anyone depending on your standard of normal normal how as in ability or sanity/how fucked up they are?
Here on Earth everything that we think is wrong is perfectly normal in the six face world yeah what Paul did To Lilia was pretty but again that is something that's normal in the six face world Rudy and Eris are cousins Sweet Home Alabama Luke Rudy and Eris are related to each other in some shape form away Sweet Home Alabama but this is perfectly normal in the 6 face world
Eris is my least favorite character of the anime but I'm looking forward for more roxy syhie is ok but I can't wait for more norm too but I'm dying for more Roxy I need it fast man...
bro ur good and entertaining to watch but please pronounce eris right. there's no 'D' in her name
Plz say Eris right
I don't like norn at all, she's so bratty and ungrateful, she's old enough to understand rudeus's circumstances
How old is Norm at this point like cant be that old to really not act like a child
Eris > Sylphie
28:33 I love that aisha is lowkey just asdirty as Reudy
I was very much disappointed in this episode, to be honest. However, I know that the reason why it was so underwhelming is that those scenes didn't have room to breathe, but it was disappointing nevertheless. On the other hand, did you notice that (small spoilers below)
Anime is doing everything to not say that Lilia was the second wife? There is no mention of polygamy in this world yet, and I am curious how they will handle the Roxy marriage...
