It was a weird coincidence that the boat was as close to the garage as it could be when I was informed of the issue. So it was the impetus to clear it out and rationalise the mess.
Good to see you back Canice. I was worried that sea Captain had done for you. Good to spend time with your family. Can look forward to my Sunday treat again.
Was just thinking “haven’t had a vlog from Canice in a while, hope he’s okay!”😅 looks like a lovely holiday. Your folks crack me up! So sorry about the floods. Ick!
Glad to see you again! Glad to see your quite special parents again! You have worked like three Irishman and your are right...a tjalk is a cargo boat. Just plotter on and keep us posted. Thanks a lot for this video, looking forward to next Sunday!
Good to see you!! You are Speedy Gonzalez, ;) It must feel good to have everything out of the garage. I now see what you mean about the mess that was and will soon disappear as you go through it all. A place for everything and everything in its place! ☘ Till the next time! ☘
YOU’RE ALIVE!!! 😮😅🥳🎉 I was going to give you one more week before I sent out a search team. Welcome back. You have been missed. Finally, my Saturdays are back to normal. I hope you enjoyed the holidays, and the trip to Tenerife with the parents, and your haircut. Your parents are priceless. Nice sneakers! Sorry about the garage, glad you were able to save the rest of the pews. But…all the space you had, disappeared once more 😢 But, I am sure you will figure it out. The boards on the wall around the windows “almost” made me like the curtains. I am glad you have returned, and most of all you are safe. 🤗😊🤗 Kathy
Hi Kathy I’m ALIVE! It was a busy month and I couldn’t find the time to edit. I feel recharged by the holiday! It a great step forward to have everything on the boat. It means no more going back and forth to the garage for stuff. That sails are on board and I really would like to rig Linda for sailing! But we’ll see how we get on. I’m installing the pews next!
Move over Cannice, could we suggest that your Dad starts his own channel, he is an amazing and fascinating character, can see where you have got your enigma from!!! Anyway, jubilation for your return as Tenerife cant have you!!! Unlucky about the shed, nightmare but you’re as ‘laid back’ as usual. Don’t hesitate to call if you need a hand!👍🏻lovely to see Linda getting some ❤️ Joe & Georgie ⚓️🌹
Urgh, cleaning out that garage must have been brutal... the smell... the rat! Right decision though. Good luck with the 're-organisation', Canice. ("I hate these ol' hot countries" 😄)
It didn’t take me long to realise that the council were not going to be quick about fixing the problem, so I figured that with the boat nearby, I was never going to get a better opportunity to clear it out. Stuff is still drying on the boat, but thankfully the smell did not transfer over in any meaningful way. The smell of wood work is overwhelming it.
we are getting rid of our storage unit today, it's just a cost you don't need when you have enough space.thanks for another great video, see you on the water one day when we get south.alex and Maria
@@canicebannon it doesn’t look that bad and will save a few quid ! Lol my advise is not to do it again ! Sea captain will think you’ve got scurvy or something 😂
Maybe put the small things in the aft cabin? The engine life by the engine? Choose the pews you need & dismantled the others? Put some rope loops across the inside of the roof for the long oak panels? Put the rope ring up front with the sails & rigging? 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧 well done for letting the garage go 🙏
Yea you are back; I've missed your blogs! I suggest you might consider getting the oak wood paneling onto where you might want it and, as for all the other crap, consider thinning it by ditching it off the boat? Did the barber in Tenerife give a good deal? Cheers as now I can start to enjoy your Irish journey again; love it and your parents are cool!
Hi Joseph, That’s exactly what I’m doing. I’m focusing on using up the resources I have acquired to clear space on the boat. Next week I cut down the pews and install them.
Nice to see you back Canice i hate rats had a few encounters i think the feelings were mutual when chasing them good luck with the amount of space you at the moment but you did the right thing shifting everything 😊😊
I've had a similar issue for the last few years; here, south of Tucson, AZ, up in Mnt Shasta, Cali, New Mexico (high alt. area) and have been dragging about so much stuff, 2x good sized dogs, 23' camper/trailer (worse by the move), my son, my trailered 10' sail boat, '03 Triumph 995i ALL at once with my '97 Dodge 3/4 ton old style van. I have been stopped twice, as I am a sort of tarmac train. Never had any real issues, as the cops would laugh at the situation and or loved my dogs. I'm living in a trailer at the top of the sea of cortez. When I get out of here (part of my plans of social conquest), I never want to visit, approaching, or south of the equator again. I want to relish in the temporate climes of 1/2 up the USA and the top of France/Germany and above (to you globbers). I have never -- I do not know why -- had the inclination to visit East Asia, although Southern Africa, Australiasa might. I say the above, but I have had a lovely Chinese girlfriend -- woman, and tall (5'10"; whereas I'm 6'2"), thin and agreeable -- but her parent and siblings never (secretly) got on with me... I think she might be a constable now. Perhaps I should consider chatting PM.
Oh Canice... Sorry to see that happen. And dealing with it by yourself.... seriously. How quick do you think the council will act on that... not that it matters now but wow! Cant put numbers to all the possible wood damage. Ugh! On a positive note.... Great Drone Work!!!! Fantastic to see you back as its been very boring here. Watching the series all over again from the beginning isn't as fun as new footage... but nice you got away from it all ( youtube have to record everything mode ) and enjoyed your life for a bit. All the best!
I cycled by the garage yesterday and still the water is pouring out of it! I did have a little help from Michael. He doesn’t want to be on camera…. Dad and I were experimenting with the drone and I needed the time to play with it. I didn’t realise how much it was capable of. It will follow you and avoid any obstacles it comes across…. It’s incredible.
Oh yeah. The drones are pretty amazing. I usually try to do the rise and rotate the camera to keep getting better at smooth transitions.. Its that pat your head rub your belly thing. Its great to have your Dad about. Why the Council isn't all over that leak is beyond me. @@canicebannon
It was a lot of hassle. I decided it would be quicker to cut my losses than trying to deal with the council. They probably don’t have the resources to fix it anyway!
Those Lidl trainers where fetching up to 300€ in Ireland a couple of years ago ,crazy for a 30€ pair of sweat shop trainers ,,think it had something to do with not available in Ireland
Canice is back, the best news of the year so far, makes Sunday morning complete.
Glad to be back! It’s all about Pews tomorrow!
Yay, you’re back 🥰
Thank Christ!😂
It is joyous to have our weekend treat back. Thank you Cannice. PS your mum's expression at lunch is worth more than the Lidl trainer's.
I’m glad to be back! This year is their 60th anniversary!
What a relief - I was getting worried. Shame about the garage but Tenerife looked good.
It was a weird coincidence that the boat was as close to the garage as it could be when I was informed of the issue. So it was the impetus to clear it out and rationalise the mess.

I think the Sea Captain was blocking the waste pipe, when I was on holidays!😂😂😂
Happy that you are back Canice. That garage is a big set back. But you will find a way to use this set back to your advantage.
You’re right. Having everything on the boat has made it easier to get things done! As everything is in one place!
Good to see you back, you have been missed.
Glad to be back!

It certainly was a mixed bag. However, clearing the garage and having everything on the boat has ended up making life a lot easier!
Happy hair cut 😃
Hope you had a good time in Tenerife with your mum and dad
Time to get your boat in order 👍
The boat is getting in order! 😀
Canice so nice to see you back. A holiday with your parents is very important, I hope that you all enjoyed your time together.

By the way, the advice you gave me about starting the engine with a hair dryer has fixed my starting issues!
Pews get fitted in tomorrow’s video!

Great to see you too! Order from disorder!😂
Rite decision clearing out the garage. Love that haircut, bit drafty this time of year though. ❤
Oh my god, I couldn’t believe how cold it was going to be when I shaved it off. I’m growing it back for that reason!😂😂😂😂
Glad you're posting again, and well. 👍
I’m glad I’m back at it!

It’s surprising how much of it you don’t really need.!😀
Well well ! Your back ! One question , where’s the hair gone !? You’ve been missed canice x
This was a choice I immediately regretted when I realised how cold it was without hair! 😂😂😂

I’m doing just that. Now the focus is to use up the panels and pews. Clear out the boat by using up all the materials.

Pew! 😊 What a smell the garage must have been! Hope the hair cut wasnt necessitated by another faux pas with the drill!
The hair cut was an idea I had first thing in the morning New Year’s Day, just for fun!
So good to see you back. An eventful January to start twenty 24. You were missed from a viewer in Nova Scotia Canada.
