1 hard learned reccomendation: dont use the polyurethane spring isolator. It will shit out the side and the spring will push it off.

I just installed 5100's on my 1st gen tundra. I just used the stock coils on the 3rd slot to level it out. I live in a rural area, no machine shops around here so I just used the single spring compressor set that I have. It worked but man I was sweating the entire time. I think I will order another one and use 2 spring compressor sets next time. Thanks for the video.

@@stangrunder9835 I ran with the stock coils for a few months on the 3rd slot. It leveled the truck out nice but it was a little stiff in the front. I ended up upgrading to the dobinson springs. I also went with a 2" lift in the back to keep a little rake because I tow. This also allowed me to put bigger tires. The truck rides smooth and I have no complaints.

Great information! Exactly what I was looking for. I just got a set of Dobinsons and Bilsteins for my lifted Civic Wagon. Just made a video about it too, the Bilstein came set up on the top perch. The ride is super bouncy and I lost a lot of flex. Also I tried to adjust alignment at home as per info I found online, but I seem to be getting negative caster on both wheels no matter what I do. I have an alignment booked next week. I recommend aftermarket upper control arms for any lift over 2". A diff drop is a good idea to prevent the CV boots from leaking grease after the lift. The extended links can accommodate the lift and still keep you stable on the highway.

Does the Dobinsons and/or OME spring work with the 4WD 1st Gen Tundra? I ask, because I just installed a set of Eibachs that a site listed as 2WD/4WD. Once I installed them, I quickly discovered my truck lost 2" :( I called Eibach, and they don't make a spring for 4WD 1st gen Tundras.
