He seems to be returning to a modern house though, as if the curse that left the mercenary blind to sunlight also made him immune to the passage of sunrises and sunsets...
For a short film that was fantastic!! beautifully done, to be honest my favorite part was the follower returning to fulfill his promise. Very powerful.
I never understood the single shoulder pad outfits for fantasy warriors. I mean, they only protect the one shoulder, unless they are there to make them look menacing, but that doesn't help protect them
Excellent! The cinematography, especially, is very well handled, likewise the editing. The only thing I would have different is the subtitles, which I would prefer to have been optional. They are a distraction. Let's have more!
Love to speak with one time I agree with alot of what you say! I have a very unique perspective of the struggles that you have! At same time I don't know what it's like to be you but me I was rased in very poor neighborhoods where I was always the minority! I think you're very well spoken for any man and most what you say is right on! Well call me chat with me maybe we can help each other do something about it! Yours truly. It was good but maybe a little more research on the weapons and armor used in that area might have been good. The Targe was missing the central spike. No big deal but why not be accurate?
great film, but the credits should say Visual FX not Special FX. Most people get it wrong. Special FX are FX done on site in front of the camera. Visual FX are effects done in postproduction on a computer. If you ever want to collaborate on something, I'm willing to help. :)
Interesting story and cinematography is outstanding. A beautiful location for filming also! Those creatures looked very impressive too. I think you have all done a brilliant job, considering you had no budget! I'm also working on a film myself which is fantasy based! Checkout the latest interview with myself and co directors Lexx James and Tracer Ital discussing the film 'Okora: The Prelude'. Film will be available next year after film festival debut! Until then, let me know what you think!
I liked the story and the execution... is, for zero budget, astounding. My only two complaints would be that the opening montage had some serious issues with inconsistent color (probably shot on two different cameras with no color matching done in post) and that the fighting sucked. I know that zero budget indie fighting is extremely difficult, but a lot of things could be done with smarter staging rather than just flinging the camera wildly around. The cinematography (aside from the fighting, that is) was really good and that forest was a cinematographic godsend! Really nice, atmospheric location there. The lighting (especially the indoor candlelit shots) was great and the VFX for the darkness of the shamans is really, really good. Overall, this is a fantastic example of what can be done without a budget, but with lots of talent and ingenuity. Thank you.
Ahahha guys! Great job....Guys though we and far apart also speak different languages, but our love to a fantasy allows us motivation to shoot the movies. You won't believe but if watch our movie, you will find a lot of the similar. We think lonely sometimes!
Jessie Johnson The stranger hired a mercenary (the POV character) to help him fight a powerful enemy with dark magic. The mercenary managed to kill this enemy, but was cursed in the process. The stranger said he was not ready to help relieve the mercenary of his curse yet, but promised to return once he was. Years later, the mercenary has become a hermit because of his curse. That last shot was of the stranger returning to fulfill his promise of helping the mercenary who had once helped him.
The cinemathography is outstanding, especilly for zero budget. Who ever shot/cinematography this may really have a future in filmmaking
The ending, where the stranger returns to fulfill his promise, really impacted me. Well done!
He seems to be returning to a modern house though, as if the curse that left the mercenary blind to sunlight also made him immune to the passage of sunrises and sunsets...
Even if it takes decades to fulfill, a true warrior's vow never fades
Great story, great acting, amazing cinematography, beautiful music... Wonderful work!
This well written, told, acted and captured. It is dark, mysterious and sad. I really enjoyed this! Thank you for sharing!
Amazing! Awesome looking film, loved the location and outfits were great.

For a short film that was fantastic!! beautifully done, to be honest my favorite part was the follower returning to fulfill his promise. Very powerful.
This was an excellent fantasy short. Bravo! Loved it.

Impressive!!! ALL who were in this or worked on this haveremarkable talent. I wish you ALL more successes!
I hope one day you will have the budget to make a long film.
Great job, i'm very impressed.
This isn't that bad for a project with zero budget, in fact I really enjoyed it! Well done!
Director- Excellent use of the dolly. Perfect movie.
For a film with zero budget, it hit me harder than some of the biggest "blockbuster hits" out there
Ihan mahtavaa! Kiitos tästä, ja vielä suomalainen tuotanto. Jes, hyvin tehty ja viihdyttävä.
A good yarn, simply told. The uncredited co-star is undoubtedly the scenery which is beautiful. I'm guessing it's Finland. Good Job!
the strangers hair is FREEKING AMAZING!!!!
Well done. Excellent film.
Thank you, i greatly enjoyed this. this was a great team that put out a truly solid work.
Well done, and with no money?! Thoroughly enjoyed it..
Who did the soundtrack? It was amazing!
Jouni Valjakka
Awesome movie! I have found most fantasy short films to be super cliched and hokey, but this one was excellent and compelling.
è un peccato che lavori come questi non vengano riconosciuti... complimenti, storia davvero avvincente.
the cinematography is really good! Being a film-maker myself I'm impressed with how good the cinematography is in this film!
What's the blackground music ?
That was an awesome film! The story is fantastic, and it's good acting. Keep up the good work:)
For no budget, this is quite impressive!
I loved the paper mache mace.
Beautiful landscape, story line a bit confusing but an entertaining short movie.
I really enjoyed this. Well done =)
what camera do you have? did you use others materials ?
please what camera was used for this
yo, how did you make these amazing costumes?
watch out with the color correction. great film!
I want his hair; of course any hair would be nice. But his is magnificent.
very good, I love the scenery. Who ever was behind the camera knew what he was doing :D
Wow, this was sooo cool!
this is really good!

+RICHARD KREVETT see this is the problem with youtube, a year later I see this comment, by random chance. I am honored and touched by your comment.
how can he read if he's blind?
he's not blind, he can't see in bright light caused by the sun I assume.
It was good but maybe a little more research on the weapons and armor used in that area might have been good. The Targe was missing the central spike. No big deal but why not be accurate?
This was good not movie worthy yet good enough to keep me hoping for a sequel

Ya! He finds him.
But he retired in that sweet cabin by the lake, and lived happily ever after, away from all the self entitled Millennials....the end.
For a Film Of Zero Budget, You sure Make us think Otherwise.

Wow like
Rather sad ending.
I don't get it.

Sorry but I didn't understand this.
or who ever that was
That was a truly terrible story. Awful.
Good cinematography and sound but awful plot and ending...
