True love is based on friendship.
Last night, I called my best friend and we talked a little on the phone. He told me about sone people he saw that day, and he told me he was a little surprised about sone of them being on the phone during almost all of the time they spent together. He said “I have never seen you doing that, you are never on your phone when we spend time together”. I would have liked to tell him “I love you so much, they surely don’t!”, but it’s really what I do when I spend time with people I value. It’s a sign of respect, too, isn’t it?
And yeah, I love my friends, I have always thought that friendship comes first.

It wants to be present and be together. When people are in love, sometimes they think that they don't have to “do any more work.” But real love actually enjoys giving attention to another person. It feels good, and doesn't see giving attention to another person as a chore.

EXACTLY. Not be thought Algebra Calculus or anything like that. I CAN LITERALLY SEARCH UP everything school teaches bro. They give you stress with grades and everything and force you to learn stuff. That’s not good and we have to change that. We have to protest and give it more attention. Schools talent is so wasted and we need to change the schools.

My all these traits are in my best friend. Since we’ve met, there has been this-unexplainable amount of connection, security and trust. I trust her with nearly everything and I can tell she does the same. She’s patient, kind, sweet, she always give me hugs and makes me feel better. Even though I can be impatient and protective with a stingy attitude, I’d never yell at her because I know she hates it and I would NEVER call her a name, be toxic towards her, ignore her, or in any way treat her like she’s less than a person. I’ll always be there for her and I just give her space when she needs it but I always check in. All the traits she has is something I never though any person could have. I’m so grateful for her. 💕 Sometimes a soulmate doesn’t mean a lover but a best friend❤️

I can only speak from personal experience. Everyone experiences anxiety on another level and severity so u can’t generalize it. In my case I do have stronger social anxiety so I hate crowded places, meeting new ppl etc etc. but I love hanging out with the ppl whom I trust and love for a long time. But still, I kinda avoid calling my friends or even relatives cuz I just don’t like it, but I love calling my boyfriend. I can’t really explain why cuz I don’t know why lmao but as I’ve mentioned before u can’t generalize it so I guess it would be better if u talk to him about if he’s comfortable with calling or not. I had social anxiety and I definitely rather text than call (now I've mostly recovered and prefer calling more). But my bf didn't seem to quite understand what it was, and I didn't have the energy to explain either. I'm a student, we call everyday (ldr) and I would just pop my phone somewhere close to me and study, and he would work on his stuff as well. We seldom talked in calls so that's still fine for me. But in terms of actually chatting, the socially anxious me definitely loved him but still preferred texting.
I have social anxiety but if my bestfriend, boyfriend or someone close to me call me, i'm fine enough to answer. But i'm not answering when my family call me because i'm not close with them :D

I've been told "I love you" a number of times, but it was clear to me that it was their hormones talking, or they were just being mean, or worse, engaging in sexual harassment. It'd be nice to hear an "I love you" from someone who actually means it, and then be able to say it in return.

My boyfriend, who was at the time just casual dating not official dating, said "i love you". I told him I'm not ready to say it back and that's OK. You can always take your time to develop your feelings more to understand if you truly love that person. It will be worth it in the end, because once you said your first "I love you" to him/her, they would be ecstatic. And that's a great feeling to see.

Or they ghost you because, y'know, gross. When I figured out I'm asexual and don't feel things the same as others, I realized they thought I wanted sex and I felt humiliated. I destroyed more than one deep friendship because of that.
This sounds more like “they like you” than they love you. Loving someone comes over time once you truly appreciate one another and trust one another.
I think that's why i've only ever fallen in love with close friends, thereby unintentionally destroying that friendship. The thought of dating or being intimate with someone I haven't gotten to know as a friend is foreign to me. That apparently only happens in movies.

I think you’re trying to infer that there should be hardship between the two of you when you’re in love. There is no hardship in love. It’s you two against the world. This video accurately describes what people in love do, even after the honeymoon period. They dote on each other. We need to stop normalising this behaviour where we “trust over time”. Trust them there and then, and you should absolutely expect that from them too. Don’t settle for less.

They always consider you.

Sometimes the person or people that love you can't be there when you need them most. Don't forget to love yourself enough to be there for the person or people you love, too. Give them your full attention as well. Dream big and be honest with yourself. Especially in romantic relationships. Pop psychology isn't for everyone, but it has grown out of the academic science of psychology.
This is such a relief I have a lot of relationship anxiety and I am currently, or was, spiraling this video described him so many times. My partner just doesn’t express love in words, it’s not his love language which is a reason he doesn’t say it. And also there’s been points where the words I love you were just said out of habit before and in a way we are both afraid it’ll get to that point again. I love you can mean so many different things to different people. Some say it and mean nothing. Sometimes it’s a see you later. you can love friends and say I love you to them and not mean in a romantic way. The words themselves are subjective like most things so I understand why one would choose not to say I love you and express love in different way. I personally say it cause I need to express how I feel or want them to know that they are cared about and important. He makes me feel that way through actions and other ways

I really like hearing the voices of my friends that i love with all my heart, but I still find calls one of the most anxiety inducing things *E v E r* , even with them. and as much as I love them I'm more comfortable texting or seeing them in person. calls are just literal hell for this introvert.

Some love cannot be found in those who can't trust someone who loves enough like they love. True love isn't just a relationship it's also a unique bond you share with that special someone.
All those 06 signes I have in my friendship with my bff we went through several fights where one of us got hurt from the other but that taught us more about each other it's just amazing how our friendship is and I don't think there is a relationship could be like that.

I remember how my SO is so good at making me feel loved even when we haven't spoken those words to each other before. It was so cute when we finally did say it to each other. Lol. Just sharing.
I feel like this is not taking into account a lot of autism/adhd folks.
The very first item kinda frustrated me. Rather call than text. Perhaps for some. For for a lot of people on the spectrum, even texting is a huge sign of love. Verbalizing while not being able to see the other person can make it a lot harder to actually communicate for some. They may not BE ABLE to properly converse without either writing it or seeing you.
And “they give you all their attention “. I’m so ADHD, I’m literally incapable of giving people my full attention when I actually choose to. It either happens or it doesn’t, and my feelings for them don’t always get a say in that. As frustrating for me as it is for them.
Just hope people take these with a grain of salt and remember that these won’t necessarily be the case for some neurodivergent folks.

yes! my bestfriend and i do all the things, but we love eachother only platonically. in the end love should always be based of friendship so this fits for friends as well
