- "Cosmo Canyon" (星降る峡谷, Hoshi Furu Kyōkoku?, lit. "Canyon of the Fallen Star"), also known as "Valley of the Fallen Star", is a background theme from Final Fantasy VII. It was composed by Nobuo Uematsu.

Everyone is always citing Aeryth's death. But seeing Nanaki realizing the truth about his father in FF7R will rip my heart apart again
Shit I totally forgot about that part of the story. I think I cried when I seen him in stone full of arrows. Kind of gutted you reminded me because I wanted to experience it again in the remake part 2. Hopefully I've forgot it by the time it comes out.
To be honest, this made me cry .. I refused to do this game for years and years, even doing others FF, I don't know why. I did it last year, loved it so much, and that Nanaki's moment just broke my heart so hard ..
First time I made the game I wasnt understanding english so much, 15years later I'm doing this game for real now I understand WAY MUCH BETTER than before. I was trying not to shed a tear, what I did instead was legit crying. 🙄

This section of the game was very emotional to me because Nanaki thought his father just abandoned him but he sacrificed himself to save Nanaki that howl that he does at the end with the tear coming from the fathers stone eye
Cosmo Canyon (and every other song from FF7 for that matter) had music that spoke about the setting just as much as the characters.
The You can hear the tribal drums, panflute, a tambourine like thingy... it really feels like a walking into a tribal ceremony. The music crescendo and decrescendo like the pride Nanaki feels in himself and his people. It feels like its bouncing off mountain walls as the melody gets more aggressive and there's hope under an expansive night sky as those strings carry us home.
I fucking love this game so much.

This was the part of the game where I put the controller down and closed my eyes. It was with regret that I continued to play the game, but I did create a save file just so I could come back and listen again and again. Saria's Theme is another melody that brings me to tears as well.
This has always been and always will be my favorite video game music ever. 2nd place will go to Terra's theme in Final Fantasy 6. (Light overworld theme). whenever I sage my house, I always play this really loud in the background

FF7 is the best game ever made
The plot actually comes true, an orange haired monster becomes president and destroys the planet for the sake of profits, calling those who oppose him terrorist.
They announce a remake when Trump becomes president.
Trump releases the Corona virus months before the release so no one can play the game, so that a whole new generation of kids wont learn the truth about him.

I'm hoping that in the remake they add some of the material for this character that was left on the cutting room floor. Seriously, having to face clones of Nanaki (Cobalt-11 and Indigo-12) would be really interesting, as well as seeing Nanaki's reaction to all of it. That, and having a hype battle with those two in their cyborg forms at North Crater would seriously help with the pacing issues that dungeon had.

my favorite version.. i love all the towns in FF7 but this one is special. Cosmo Canyon at night, around the fire, eating and drinking amongst friends and family.

This game had some fantastic scores all over but there's only a few parts in the game that I would pick amongst my favorite. Weather it comes from comedy, badass, sad, battle, scenic or what have you. This one. Is in my top 3.
