    Just wanted to say that after watching your video on the front 3.5 infinity speakers, I received front and 4 rear 6x9 infinity speakers. Just installed them today and I have to admit, easy as pie to install, cramped in the front but not bad. But the sound these speakers make is incredible, love them. Thanks for your hard work and effort.
    PS, putting the door panel back on was a bugger till I figured out to remove the door handle piece, then it slid on nicely.

    Man I ran all infinity kappa in my 05 dodge dually. 4 tweeters,2x 3" for the dash 2x 6"x9" and 2 x 5¼" . I couldn't be happier . Im running a JL 900x 5 amp 100 watts to each door and 500 watts to the 10" JL sub I mounted where my jump seat was then put my center console on top of the sub box . I know people that have spent thousands on their system but mine beats theirs hands down! Great choice!

    I've read posts claiming the front door imitation alpine speakers are strictly mid-range speakers & no highs are sent to them via the stock 8.4 head unit. All highs are sent to dash speakers & rear doors. Still haven't found a mid-range only speaker replacement. Adding a 2 way of 3 way speaker in the front doors would be a waste - since the tweeters will never be put to use! Have you heard this

    • @kixforrest2358
      @kixforrest2358 5 років тому +1

      I went with the JBL (Club Series) in dash & rear doors! Then replaced the stock $hitty sub with the shallow mount Pioneer. Sounds decent now. I also adjusted the fade - to send a bit more sound to the rear doors! Front was a bit over powering.

    Hey man, thanks for the ideas on the Inifinity's! I'm looking at doing a similar setup myself. I noticed the speakers you used are actually rated at 3 ohms impedance (resistance) vs the 4 ohms the factory speakers were (and other brands have options at that level). Typically when the speaker has less impedence, it means less resistance and therefore pulls more power out of the Amp/Head Unit; which can cause added heat if it wasn't designed for it. I know the Alpine setup uses 2 Ohm speakers but I think that's driven off an added amp. Have you had any issues running the lower impedence in your truck? The stereo still works great a year or so later? I like the looks and specs of these infinitys but just a tiny bit concerned the drop in impedence might make the factory deck "work too hard" causing issues... Thanks, great channel btw!

    The black screws didn’t work for me in the rear. They were too long. Do they work in the front? Or did you drill the hole?

      I used the factory screws and no spacer for the rear. For the fronts I used the black ones with the spacer that came with the speaker!

    On your install of these on the rear, I went with them all around at the same time. I like the sound quality.

    Did you use a aftermarket amplifire or just upgrade the speaker with stock amp?

      Just upgraded the stock speakers. No change to the head unit or adding an amp.

    Unfortunately this was a waste of time. You indicated the button on the speaker but didn't elaborate as to what they are for.
    You mentioned about a spacer didn't elaborate what type of spacers unlike you have the part number for the adapter.
    If you going to do an instructional video provide some instructions while recording instead of editing out what you actually have to do....

      He said in the video that the button is for the decibles ,depressed for +0 and pressed is +3 and he said the spacers come with the speakers .and the adapters are metra 72-6514 which are in the description.
