The Clippers have played 15 games in the month of June (all in the 2021 playoffs) they played 3 games against the Mavericks (6/2, 6/4, and 6/6) they played the entire second round against the Jazz in June (6/8, 6/10, 6/12, 6/14, 6/16, and 6/18) and they played the entire WCF against the Suns in June (6/20, 6/22, 6/24, 6/26, 6/28, and 6/30)
Another fact about the Jazz. If I am not mistaken, they are also the only team in NBA history to never have a 60 loss season. Their worst record was 23-59.
Sarunas Marciulionis was probably the closest Warrior to winning 6th man. In 1991-1992 season, he averaged 18.9ppg off the bench and was the Warriors' 3rd leading scorer.
This would be much more interesting if it actually followed the title and was things each team has never done, I think there's likely to be stuff that applies for every team. "In the Embiid era" "aside from one time" etc the caveats make it less fun. The ones for the Celtics never having moved, Clippers never having played a game in June or been 1st seed, Bucks and Cavs never having faced off, Grizzlies never having drafted a 1st overall pick, Kings never had a DPOY, Magic and Wiz never having won 10 in a row, Pacers never had a #1 or former #1 pick, Pelicans never paid luxury tax, etc are all interesting
@@thebasketballhistorian3291 yea like bulls payed luxury tax once ... - title was never but those two were only once that had exception which is funny cause they are the first two .
Would have to be able to play multiple positions, ideally at least 3 positions, so that even if a team already has a star or two in those positions they'd work well. Has to be a good defender, has to be very good off-ball, have size, have to be able to shoot, be good at the rim, attack closeouts, be an ok passers, good BBIQ, and have at least a little shot creation. So: Kawhi, KD, Paul George, Tatum, Lauri, Wemby, Chet among star players or rookies OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges, Franz Wagner, Keegan Murray, Trey Murphy
Mind blown the Cavs and Heat never met in the playoffs. 🤯 It must be the Mandela Effect but I have false memories of LeBron and Wade facing off. I think both their teams were always in the east playoffs but always facing off against the Celtics and never each other. 😅
Although melo was robbed on that rookie of the year. He had identical numbers with lebron and helped his team win a lot more games comparing to the previous year
Not really. Nuggets had injuries the year before and picked up Andre Miller and had Marcus Camby healthy for Melos rookie year. Lebrons rookie year was much the same roster which went 17-65 then 35 and 47. Melos nuggets went 43-39 but had all 3 of their best players come in/be healthy plus Nene step up in his 2nd year. Hard to attribute 8 games better as a team to Melo alone when he has Miller and Camby also.
@@thepoisonouspotato3631 Okay right 1988 Number 2 with Rick Smits. Between 1990 and 2021 the highest picks were number 10 with Paul George and Erick Dampier.
Lets have another one first the Timberwolves since we swept the Suns. Minnesota never won 60 games in season, our best record was 58 wins when Kevin Garnett won mvp
Mark Eaton spent his entire 11-year career with the Utah, but nover averaged double figure scoring and cracked 10 rpg just twice. His only skill was shot blocking, so he's not in the hall of fame.
there are 6 teams that never had nr1 pick Indiana Pacers Miami Heat Oklahoma City Thunder Utah Jazz Denver Nuggets vancouver grizzlies and then u got 76ers . that had 3 of those in 5 years and still suck .

Idk if he was wanting to count that specific season, since it’s not the normal time frame
Timberwolves took that personal

Wasn't the Embiid one the only exception one?
I don't recall any others from the video.

Although you are right, but Iggy was the best 6th man in 2015 when he won Finals MVP guarding Lebron.

I think the pacers only has a 9 win streak as their longest in franchise history
I think Indiana Pacers even never had a Top 5 Pick at the draft.
Nah, the pacers had the #2 pick in 1985 and the #4 pick in 1986
