Magloire is maybe the worst, least-deserving all-star in NBA history. It's not just easy to say that now, 20 years later. Him being on the all-star team was a joke *at the time.* I distinctly remember John Hollinger writing articles for ESPN about how overrated Magloire was, and how hollow his numbers were- and his numbers weren't even that good. The reason Magloire made the all-star team that one year is because that era- the early 2000's was the worst era in NBA for the center position. There was basically two good centers in the entire league. Shaq and Yao. Both of whom played in the West. That Jamaal Magloire was for a brief little moment the second or third best center in the Eastern Conference is not an illustration of him being good. It's an illustration of the absolute dearth of talent at the center position in the early 2000s. Indeed, that was the very last year the Hornets were in the Eastern Conference. If his career-best 13 and 10 per game had happened year later, they'd have been in the West, and he would have been nowhere near the all-star team. So yeah, the dude is lucky as hell to call himself an all-star. He did play very well in the actual all-star game though, I'll give him that. 19 points. But then again, these are famously the games where nobody ever plays defense, so It's a pretty hollow accomplishment.

It was a 5 yr stretch where he was one of the best defenders in the league
The 1973 class was before my time, but that must be in the running for worst ever. 1972 was pretty lousy too. It didn’t help that the nba expanded too fast from 9 teams in 1965 to 17 in 1972, while the ABA siphoned off some of the best young talent. The 2000 class was the worst in my lifetime, but this league has had clusters of weak crops of talent. 2000 was bad on its own, but it was sandwiched between 1999 and 2001, which weren’t great either. The drafts from 1988-91 were all pretty low on impact players after an outstanding stretch from 1984-87.

Jamal Crawford will be a hall of famer but that will be the only player from that 2000 draft. He's the greatest 6th man of all time. Kenyon Martin was not a bust and Stromile Swift unfortunately was drafted to a young Grizzlies team. Imagine if Stro dropped to the Mav's or Lakers' pick?
I feel like Ja Morant likely won’t see the hall of fame due to his actions in the past since despite the fact that it was realistically overblown and over now once someone leaves the spotlight their story loses details over time and just becomes key points and concepts and let’s face it his dumb decisions in the past will be remembered and I dunno if the league wants that legacy to be remembered
He's just so good that i don't think his past actions will stop him from becoming a HOF. unless he keeps repeating those same mistakes. If David Stern was still alive than yeah Ja probably wont make it lol
The 2024 draft is going to be pretty bad i have no confidence in the top 2 picks Zaccharie Risacher and Alex Sarr but i will say there’s a few players i like in the draft to have good careers like Donovan Clingan Rob Dillingham Zach Edey and Nikola Topić because there all in good basketball situations if I had to pick someone from the 2024 draft that i think will be the best player out of the class probably Rob Dillingham because he’s easily in the best situation with Minnesota on a great team not in a rush to show his potential and sit back and learn and develop

Pretty good doesn’t mean anything lol. That was a nothing statement
pretty good at hating a rookie lebron 😅🤣
Not putting dirk nowitzki, russell westbrook and kawhi leonard in this video is a crime
Injuries hurt Redd and Martin
Kenyon was the best player I think he was probably snubbed out of 3 all star games and all nba defensive teams
If Kenyon had stayed in the East, he probably would have picked up 1 or 2 more allstars. He had no chance in the West
@@holdmyweight3597 Yeap if he stays in the East he’s only really battling with Bosh and O’Neal so he makes 3 to 4 times also he got in a lot of fights on the court so a lot of voters didn’t vote him on the all nba or all defense teams. It was a 5 yr stretch where he was one of the best defenders in the league
I'd like to see a video about the crazy depth and longevity of the 2008 class.
Hedo led the magic to the finals.
Bron alone has more achievements than this whole draft class combined.
I have more achievements than this draft class!! I'm not done yet😊
2013 draft wasnt the worst in terms of players. It was the worst in terms of teams making stupid choices. Giannis wasn't even a lottery pick.
Yeah this draft was so bad, I don't even know those two players at the back in the thumbnail. 💀
You just don't know your NBA history lol.
That's ok.
Not everybody is going to be willing to care and look back at historical facts or achievements
Haliburton HOF mention and no Trae is crazy
Them putting Hali over Lamelo is funny 🤣
Had no idea Jamal Crawford was never an all star. Dude was good.
In the 90’s Kenyon Martin would have been a 5th overall pick or Lower … The highest he would be is 4th
Even though there is no all star, but this draft, these players became respectable role players
Mehhhhh that draft had a lot of long time vets and champions. Just no big nane stars. And trying to trash Kenyan is NASTY WORK
Jamal Crawford easily the best of them and he didnt make an allstar team
I m already exhausted 😮
Could you do “How good was Gary Payton” or “10 best players of the 2024 Playoffs” please 🙏, thank you.
Jamal Crawford is my favorite player from that draft.
Eddie House is a legend.
Mike miller will forever be a heat legend 🔥🔥🔥
This is the worst class of all time, - Hedo Turkoglu, Mike Miller, Jamal Crawford , Michael Redd and Kenyon Martin. That's it.
A lot of that draft class were key parts of playoff teams….sure no star power or great individual stats but can’t discredit them…they made it to the nba
This was wild.........
lol Lou Ratchett used Speedy claxtons name in one of his skits, had no idea that was an actual person
Miles was a highlight bucket
My guy mentioned Zion and "stay healthy" in the same sentence 😂
Jamal Crawford will be a hall of famer but that will be the only player from that 2000 draft. He's the greatest 6th man of all time. Kenyon Martin was not a bust and Stromile Swift unfortunately was drafted to a young Grizzlies team. Imagine if Stro dropped to the Mav's or Lakers' pick?
Crawford was an all star level player that got pigeon holed into the 6th man role for whatever reason…
2021 is pretty bad too
Prime 1984 Draft Class 145
Prime 2000 Draft Class 57
Final Score
Why are you calling 2013 a bad draft? It produced Giannis
Duh
2024 draft class was totally wacked and I think is the new number 1
Hahaha Darius Miles was my fav player in High School for some reason lol. And Jamaal went off in that game though, led the East in points.
This current draft got the potential but I feel they go be ok. But potential to be one of the worst
If you want to see what great drafts/basketball looks like, watch the ‘96 Rookies vs Soophmores game. You’re welcome
Man you’re trippin that draft was full of solid role players.
quentin richardson won the 3 point contest back in 2005
Gil's Arena gotta see this.
All the things Charles Barkley did in his playing career, yet you're worried about youngblood Ja?
You're not serious😅
crazy that the person who passes the ball the least is the one who leads the draft class in assists lol
Miller got a ring
The 2024 draft is going to be pretty bad i have no confidence in the top 2 picks Zaccharie Risacher and Alex Sarr but i will say there’s a few players i like in the draft to have good careers like
Donovan Clingan Rob Dillingham Zach Edey and Nikola Topić because there all in good basketball situations if I had to pick someone from the 2024 draft that i think will be the best player
out of the class probably Rob Dillingham because he’s easily in the best situation with Minnesota
on a great team not in a rush to show his potential and sit back and learn and develop
Could you do a video on the rise of international players.
9:28 😂🤣😅
Best players of the 2024 NBA playoffs ❤❤!!!!!
