Back when ITV was worth watching.

Just watched this for the first time in 2024. Brilliant play, especially good performance from Richard Beckinsale who I almost didn’t recognise to begin with as he was very different from his usual roles. Thanks for the upload. 👍

@@stevenwilson1816 re Richard Beckinsale, the same here. Only knew him as Godbar. Will look out for different roles he has played. Impresssed with him in this, no end.

He was beginning to take more serious type of roles in his final years...what might have been (in addition to the comedy)😢🎩

Interesting play. I'm here because of Anton Phillips who played Dr Bob Mathias in Space:1999.
FYI Yes, that is Alison Holloway who was a journalist/presenter on HTV West. Once the wife of Jim Davidson. Went to the States to find fame and fortune.

That was a joyful throwback & a reminder of how much of a Pratt I was.😂

    The immortal Richard Beckinsale.

indeed, he is an iconic face of the '70s, a time gone by, immortalised as a youthful British man

Shows the more dramatic roles RB was trying out in the final years of his short life👍🎩

I knew at once that car was a Triumph Vitesse 6 convertible. But was too early for that radiator grille though, it was from the Vitesse 6 2-Litre Mark II, which only came out in 1970. That one in the film had a 1968 reg mark, which was from a Mark 1 Vitesse 2-litre, KAM 548F.

Shame how the Vitesse got treated, but that was back in 1976

Richard was such a natural. He must have passed away shortly after filming this. Nice performances all-round.

Been waiting to see this...if only footage existed of his role in "Bloody Kids" (his role was recast and reshot with Derrick O'Connor)🎩

Cars were easy to nick in those days. I thought it was funny that Rolls Royce’s used the same type of keys s a mini.

Everything was easy to nick and police were ill equipped. We should all have perpetrated wealth redistribution!

My job was fixing cars. I got no time for watching car thives. In fact I hate car thieves.
