    I think the ultra slick detailer is one of those products that truly checks all the boxes and doesn't get much attention. It's very hydrophobic, super slick, great looks and has durability. Also great drying aid. Not many products check all these boxes. Market is saturated with "in between wash lsp's" but this is definetly a top shelf products that is heavily under loved.

    One of the most Overlooked Sonax Products is actually their Paint Prepare which comes included in the Ceramic Coatings and is sold Stand Alone in some places. It has a completely different much stronger but still very very safe formulation. I can really recommend that!
    One Quick thing to the CQD: Its not placed against BSD afaik, CSC does that job and gives nice 3 months of Protection and works really well. CQD is more a Quick every wash gloss and shine detailer, not a long term protection. It is fully compatible with any of their ceramic Products.

      Same here. Have a bunch of expensive (in Europe) products that I have been using for years and tried the BSD a couple of months ago on my wife's 15 year old car. Already prepared a bottle with like 50/50 (water/BSD) mix and tried it after a quick wash on her car. To my surprise it still does it's job while it is really a daily driver. So that was the mixed down product, not full strenght. Extremely impressed with that one.
      For the price it's an absolute no brainer as it is like 3 times less than some of the other brands here. I still have the ceramic detailer and shampoo on standby but you can only wash a car and test it in that many months as I have other stuff to do in life.

    I have seen a couple of their products on UA-cam reviews but have never tried them personally. Hey Sandro,
    I found it very interesting of what you where saying about coatings that claim to last 5+ years.. I’m wondering what do you think of Gtechniq CSL and Gtechniq CSU? Both 5 year and 9 year respectively. Do you think this is inflated ? Do you think that the coatings don’t last that long or that this would only be in extreme circumstances if the cars a garage queen ect?
    Once again a fantastic video and review going in depth as always I love your content keep it up! ❤

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  Рік тому +3

      Thanks mate, and I think if it’s anything but a garaged weekender, 9yrs is unrealistic no matter what the coating is - at least with present technology. 5yrs is also near impossible it if it’s a daily driver parked outside, but in my experience 3yrs+ is possible if it’s a great coating, properly prepared, applied and maintained.
      The real issue is that many consumers will look at what the brand states as the durability and largely choose on that basis- rewarding brands that are misleading and punishing brands that are more honest. The other issue is that when many people invest a lot of time and/or money on a coating they can be hesitant to admit it didn’t deliver of the brands promises - it’s a pride thing we all suffer from as flawed human beings 🙂

    • @jackbaldwin2135
      @jackbaldwin2135 Рік тому +1

      @@CarCraftAutoDetailing as a certified Gtechniq applicator myself we are told to tell customers that the coating comes with a 5 year guarantee if applied by a certified applicator. Should this be something that I myself as a detailer should not tend to do anymore and instead revert back to saying that it will be 3-5 years if outside but certainly get 5 years if garaged ? I’ve always been sceptical on these big claims however everyone I know raved about them and a few detailers I know are applicators through them.
      I always look to you for inspiration and advice as I know your advice and techniques ect is always spot on so I thought theirs no better place to ask. I think your right though in saying that we do as human beings have that pride that is flawed and I suppose as a detailer who does coatings to a high level we want to believe that our work is going to last what the products say. However I guess it really depends on so many aspects doesn’t it.

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  Рік тому +2

      It’s hard for me to say or impose on what a specific brand tells or expects from their pro certified coating applicators - I don’t think it’s my place to contradict them.
      All I can say is that I personally don’t give guarantees and I’m really upfront about that with my clients, also saying 3yrs+ is realistic but only if they put the work in to safely and regularly maintain it.
      The thing is that 3yrs is really a fantastic result that 10yrs ago was unheard of for any paint protection to last - it’s actually pretty amazing. This whole 5 - 10yrs+ claims are really unnecessary in my opinion and mostly end up hurting the reputation of the coating, the brand and pro detailers when the changes of a coating holding up well a decade later are slim.
