I can vouch on 4.The moment i stopped focusing on the result and put it on the actions i took to get to the result is where I actually got to the result
Staying in the present has always been a hard one for me, when ever I make a mistake I always think about how it will affect the future and sometimes that leads to overthinking thanks for the advice on that topic 👍
Really appreciate it Sam. I've been watching your videos for about 18 months now, and you've helped me so much. I'm a 13 year old cricketer from New Zealand, and I hope to play for NZ one day. Got 42 not out today and I was wondering if you had any tips to help make my dream and reality. Keep up the great content mate👍
Congrats on that 42 not out! 🔥 Keep setting small goals for each game and focus on improving one thing at a time. Whether it’s your shot selection, footwork, or concentration at the crease. Building a strong mental game and a solid routine will also go a long way as you work toward that New Zealand cap. Keep at it 🤝
I appreciate the advice once again, learning the next one is the only one that matters is something I didn't understand until making it to college but better late than never.
Haaland has barely touched the ball in the EPL for the last 5 weeks. He thought he was king of the world against Arsenal but all downhill from there. Can't just blame Rodri being out, there is plenty of quality in that midfield still.
@@SamMartinPeakPerformance I'm following Man City this year as a casual fan to see if they can win 5 titles in a row. I mostly bring it up in your comments because you basically laughed and said who cares, hes awesome when I brought it up. I knew he would be in a form slump due to his ego and how he was playing because I know sport. Maybe I expected a better response from you because you have an analysis channel that has been great at times. There you go, an honest response.
@@SamMartinPeakPerformance I already do for Australian Football. Patreons pay me a monthly subsciption to analyse games & talk about interesting subjects. Thanks for not addressing anything about Haaland haha.
@@hotkeyafl what is there to address? He's a bit out of form- every single athlete in the world goes through that at some point. Mbappe now? Messi's first season at PSG? And even though Haaland's out of form, he still has 14 goals this season, a total most strikers at the top level struggle to get in a whole season. I think it's just a bit of a non-point you make. Surely this ego you talk about is also what has helped him already bag a career total amount of goals most strikers could only ever dream of reaching throughout their whole career? (& he's only 24). Hardly cutting edge analysis

Even pros make a lot of mistakes. They just recover quickly and keep going. Try shifting your mindset to “the next one is the only one that matters,” so every 1v1 is a fresh chance without worrying about the last one. Stay confident, and don’t let one missed opportunity stop you from playing bold.
See now I've always wondered, should I get a performance journal, I have a personal journal, but should I get a journal to write down my performance progress?
@SamMartinPeakPerformance I just don't know how to use one if I get it and I don't know what I would write in it as well, I just got my new notebook for my personal use but then I thought if I should get a performer notebook so, how would I use it tho?
Sam I need some advice because I’m joining a new football team and they do complex passing sequences and I can never seem to get my head round them quick enough and I feel anxious when I’m about to do it cause I don’t wanna mess up any advice?
if they do the same drills/sequences each session start by visualising the passing sequences step-by-step in your mind before practice. This mental rehearsal will make the patterns feel more familiar and manageable. Also, making mistakes is part of the process, so focus on staying present and learning from each attempt. Being outside of your comfort zone is a sing you're growing
Hey sam! Been watching you for 2 years now as a 14-year-old... since I live in Pakistan as a 14 year old , do u think i can go pro in football by going to a university in Germany? Btw its my birthday on 13th :)
Hey Sam Martin or anyone else with the answer, I was recently dropped from my soccer team due to lack of fitness. I have a lot of speed and can outpace players but after my first sprint I get a side stitch and can’t continue on. Does anyone know what I can do about it.
Which shift are you going to take first? ⬇

Not an expert but it might be a breathing issue. Try some breathing exercises and meditation, hopefully it helps
@ I’ll give it a shot, thank you. 🙏
