- Even the short sailing trips can spring a few surprises, coming into close contact with a submerged object while at anchor, sailing out to sea in a fresh force 5 I have a slippery spillage of washing up detergent and have issues starting my engine.

Hi buddy picking up good tips fro. Your channel iv just got myself a comfort 30 great boat but one thin is the wife don't know yet I'm dead lol
Good choice 👍
Me too
Had my little pandora 3 years now and she still doesn't know about it.
And like you
I am sooo dead
😅😅😅
I'm guessing it was your hurley 22 I saw in Eyemouth last August when I was staying in a caravan, look at you now well done, just bought a sadler 25 myself so back on the water also but can only admire you're type of sailing and admire it I shall.
Yes I was in Eyemouth August last year, congrats on the sadler 25
At the beginning of this video i was comparing the Way she rides the waves to the way Katrina did.
The size and the long keel must feel so different
Stay safe Sam
Hi Sam, really enjoy your videos. I’ve just bought a Jaguar 27 down in the West Country so joining the sailing gang as well
Thanks, enjoy the Jag 27, good boats!
Love your videos, I have seen you out a few times on the Orwell! Hopefully I'll see you at anchor one day and get you a beer! Keep the UA-cams coming!!
Good to see our old stamping grounds, especially Kirby Creek which was a favourite since the oyster beds were discarded. Easier to access than Landermere although that used to be a regular overnight anchorage as well! Keep up the great vlogs please.
You don't want to slip on it but washing up liquid in the bilge deals with any spilt diesel with a bit of water sloshing around, cleans well too.
Plenty down there now I should think 😆
Nice one sam.
Love your videos Sam! Keep em coming!
Thanks for watching 😎
Bit of a SOAP Opera
Had exactly the same engine issue with my Volvo Penta, always have a battery pack jump start thing onboard so you don't need to rely on them if its the worst. Also found once that I could swap them around and it fired up, so possibly also dodgy contacts.
Good idea, thanks
hi sam the stakes you are on about are markers for the old oyster beds a few years ago you where not allowed to drop anchor round there dew to the oysters there is a channel to get in and out at low tide keep to the left hand side it deeper there shows on your chart by the way we met at titchmarsh marina a couple of weeks ago on the westerly berwick cheers keep safe
Hi Andy, thanks for this info, good to meet you all the other week, hope the boat moves a bit faster having been washed down
@@samsails9820 sure dose thank you Sam be safe out there hope we meet up on the water some time fair winds
Bit of a SOAP opera that one 😂
I got the large bottle too thinking it would last ages
Kirby Creek is one of our favourite anchorages along with Landermere. Sam, you now have me racking my brain about stakes poking out? There is a bit of a landing stage on Horsey Island about halfway down towards Honey Island so maybe from that? Maybe somethings popped up over Winter! I'll ask about today see what I can glean. Good selection of tinned fish in Lidl, always good to keep a few on board.
Theres the landing marked on the chart but the posts are not marked. Thanks for watching
Hi Sam don’t spose you fancy helping me sail my boat up from Chichester to Glasgow up the west coast . Could do with a man with your experience. And a lift home as I gotta visit family in Norwich
Hi thanks for watching, contact via email samsails@yahoo.com about the Glasgow trip.
Are you keeping your boat somewhere in Orwell?
Yes at Kings boat yard moorings
@@samsails9820 Ah I've got my boat at Ipswich Beacon Marina :)
