    Will be watching this over and over. This is the bit I am most fearful of in my build.

    can I ask why it appears you have the starter relay wired the opposite way around original - i understand terminal 30 to be connected to battery and 87 to the starter?

    Thank you! I'm inspired to go that direction with my build.

    Awesome video. I don’t mind the length of it. Will look nice once all is trimmed and done

    Love your work. Between you and Mikey you’ve made it very clear! One question I have it how to stop the indicators? Mine keep flashing and but won’t turn off? Any ideas?

    Hi, thanks for posting this major build. I did a very minor modification to my bike, I installed a circuit breaker in a similar way to yours. Shorting a 3mm wire as a test, it tripped virtually instantly. with a wire diameter similar to that to the ignition switch, the wire melted. If you do this test you might find the same problem, because I also chose a 40 Amp circuit breaker. With the help of forum members at "motobrick" I found that one of 15 Amps is needed. That might sound too low, as it did to me, but the reasons are given there. The thread is "quick fix, circuit breaker, save your brick from burning" Hopefully it might help.

    Great video! I've been trying to replicate your setup to check spark on my 86 K100 build. I'm not able to replicate your spark test despite having largely the same setup. You have the brown and red wire from the Ignition Module connecting the the ground on the starter relay. When I do this the starter will not turn over. However, if I connect ground on the relay directly to ground on the frame it will turn the starter. But, I'm not getting spark in any case. are you also grounding the starter relay to the frame in addition to connecting the brown and red to the ground on the starter relay?

    Does this Unit give you the option to do away with all the OEM handlebar switches on a sports bike and just replace with push buttons then ?

    awesome video! thanks so much. I'm having a bit of a problem with my k75 and was wondering if you had any thoughts. (I'm not a mechanic, just learning on my first project bike). Something is happening with the rear end of the bike. The back wheel feels "loose" and like it's slipping when I make turns. The wheel is connected correctly to the bike, and I am experiencing a "wobble" on the back end when making slight turns in the road. Any thoughts? Thanks again for the great videos

    • @Eight20
      @Eight20  4 роки тому

      Thanks buddy. Your problem doesn't sound good, I'd check for play in the final drive bearing, put the bike in the centre stand and try and wiggle the wheel up and down and then left and right, there should be no play. Good luck.

    Are the buttons up front wireless? Like the horn button for example, I dont see any wires hooked up yet it turns on the output on the M-unit?

    What kind of resistor did you end up using to replace the lightbulb in your dashboard that makes sure your alternator is charging?

    • @Eight20
      @Eight20  3 роки тому +1

      I've not got to that point yet mate, I don't think it's possible to use a resistor, might be but I don't know. I plan to cross this bridge shortly so I'll let you know.

      @mountainroamer5538 3 роки тому

      @@Eight20 Definitely possible to use a resistor. Any resistance should technically work, but something with a similar R as the light should probably be used. Good thing about the light? You get to see if you are actually charging. Bad thing? You have a random light stuck somewhere. lol
