  • Just a basic review of the features of the Eberlestock F52 Jackhammer. This is the "legacy" version which has an actual Alice frame in it. Eberlestock has upgraded to a newer proprietary frame.

Thanks Cap. I have a W2 pack I have been looking at the jackhammer but the cost is beyond my budget at this time. This one is not. Thanks again.

How far apart are the protruding alice frame around the waist belt? I want to know if for someone like me with a 38-39" waist line will the protruding frame poke into my waist? Can you tell, please? Thanks

Pitirat Osotsapa -the frame will not poke you. These packs are VERY comfortable.

Can a full 3L bladder fit into outside pockets?

Hoe does it compare to wearing a typical surplus ALICE pack and frame?

It simply doesn't compare. You truly get what you pay for. First and foremost this is soooo much more comfortable to ruck. Secondly, I like the accessibility this provides over the Alice. You can open it from the top like an Alice, or open the front to access items at the bottom.

Does this bag have a frame cap?

Donald Rearick III yes. The one in the video is an older close out from the website factory store. This one has a regular Alice frame. There is a newer version which has a tubular aluminum frame that is lighter than the Alice.

Hi, can you remove the frame from the bag?

      Yes

cap6888 oh cool, thank you! Is it still usable, even with less support?

I suppose you could use it without the frame, but I'm not sure why you would want to. You will lose the support it provides.

cap6888 just because sometimes I have things not that heavy to move with, but would appreciate a lighter bag, more "compacted", that would fit as hand carry luggage in a plane for example. I'm not sure it would work with the frame.
