Challenger Stock vs Borla S-Type Exhaust

- I wanted to do a video comparing the stock exhaust to the Borla S-Type exhaust on my 2016 Challenger Scat Pack.
I went with the system that includes active exhaust valves. The O.E valves can be transferred from the stock system to the Borla system. Part #140640.
Although, the stock exhaust has a nice note, I'm sure you will agree that the Borla exhaust sounds more aggressive. I now get complements on how good the exhaust sounds. It's well worth the investment. As an added bonus, it has a million mile warranty.

Yeah, thats another concern. Seems like a lot of Mopar owners have done the mid-muffler delete without problems, but may be more of a long term concern. I probably wont do it😝

Sounds nice and throaty!! I was going to just do a mid-muffler delete on my Scat, as its much cheaper. But heard just enough pushback on the net about warranty voiding that I am skittish.....sounds like dealers SHOULDN'T push back on honoring the warranty, but it could be an excuse for them to not honor it.
Best to play it safe. A mid muffler delte will rob you of the back pressure needed to keep the engine happy. Hope this helps?
I got borla s type headers mid muffler delete it’s loud but I’m deleting the cats tomorrow it should be ear bleeding loud lol
Very nice sound, it's deep! I own a scatpak 2016 Torred with a shaker and I loved the defuser in the back, it looks great! Can you share with me where you purchased? And the model or product number? I would greatly appreciated.

Have you experienced any cruising drone with the new system? Either on normal or sport mode.
@Pavle Culum, no drone during normal cruising speeds. Even when in sport mode. It's perfect!

Which one will be better the valve simulator or the active exhaust valve simulator or replacement active exhaust valve? I want my scat pack to be louder than stock when I'm just cruising and driving hard of course.
The one without the active exhaust valve would sound like sport mode was on all the time and would be louder. The downside, you wouldn't be able to switch back to normal mode. It's nice having that option but, it's all in what you are trying to achieve. Hope this helps.
Sure would have been nice to hear what it sounds like in the cabin and if there is a bothersome drone or not.
No drone whatsoever. I can hear a nice exhaust note, but it's not overpowering.
How much louder was the S type over stock in your opinion?
It's definitely noticeably louder than the stock , but not obnoxiously loud. More of a deeper growl. Nothing lacking here.

What the difference between this one and part number # 140677
From Borla website for #140677. This system contains Active Valve SIMULATORS (click for more information)
Valve SIMULATORS are built into this BORLA® system, which ELIMINATE the MDS Valves. The valve actuators will be transferred from your O.E. exhaust to a bracket on the BORLA® exhaust. This avoids warning lights on the dash and provides maximum flow.
The one I have lets me use the O.E.M MDS valves. I can manually open the valves when in Sport mode, just like the stock exhaust works.
Stock is lame for sure. I’m probably going S Type over atak .Good video.

Old time hot rodder here and guess what? I watched the whole vid and not one dyno test? For all you know the car lost HP. Not to worry tho... if you lost too much Hp you can get it back by simply wearing your cap backwards and putting neon lights in the wheel wells! Just turning up the stereo with your favorite rap music adds 10 HP! I like Borla's so was hoping to see a serious review of em.
