I learned that if you cure your piece a few seconds then immerse it in water and finish curing while immersed it stops it from being sticky! It works, I've done it.
Oh so pretty 😍 awesome video Steve ❤ Thank you so kindly for sharing your wonderful talent and videos with us all ❤ Take great care and I will be creating these ❤
Those bezels are fun and I loved how you used the casted piece in the center of the round one. 😍👍 If you want to do something really interesting with them I suggest you get yourself some polymer clay, condtion it properly and then flatten it out to about 1.5 to 2 times the depth of the bezels, lay a thin sheet of plastic wrap on the clay and then push the bezels carefully into the clay like a cookie cutter, trimming off any excess clay from the outside of the bezel. Once you do that, pop them in the freezer for about 15 to 30 minutes and carefully remove the bezel and plastic wrap from the clay and carefully clean up any edges of the shapes so they're perfectly smooth and bake. Once they are baked and cooled make a silicone mold of those pieces. Doing this lets you essentially do the same thing to the center of the circular bezel to any part of the bezels that you want because the plastic will create perfectly domed clay pieces! The shapes you can make with the mold would be fabulous to use on other projects too. 😁👍 BTW, I'm also thinking it might be extra cool to make a silicone mold of these bezels and then you can make pretty and extra lightweight resin versions of them that you could use as-is or fill with more resin to make even more unique jewelry! 😇
Steve I keep a roll of toilet paper on my desk and place squares of it on the extra tape. It has been a game changer for me. No more sticking to my gloves and I can wipe off any brushes or sticks I have used in the resin.
Great share thanks Steve. One little tip that helps me is when using the tape I just fold over the ends so I can hold it down and it doesn’t stick to my hands.
Watching your videos makes me happy and you've got me through a dark period recently. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put in making these videos. ❤
I must say i have just started watching your videos and your happy voice and tutorials are a pleasure to watch, hope this isn't rude but your videos are more down to earth for me, i actually feel like i could make some of these, when i have the products of course hehe xx thank you for your hard work and commitment to your work.
Beautiful!! I never think about turning the UV light upside down. I like using the SANAAA Double-Sided LED UV lamp for pendants & earrings. It is small but can cure both sides at the same time. It has the option to turn the bottom light on & off.
Thanks for another great video Steve. Those pendants and earrings came out really well. It was a lucky thing that those cabuchon fit into the pendants perfectly! I must admit I prefer the pendants with those in them as opposed to the others you made. I like the way they catch the light. You always have such good ideas for what to make. Have you ever thought of writing a book Steve? Your crafting and creating experience, plus your endless ideas would make for a great book I think. God bless you Steve and your family. Have a great week!
Considering resin jewelry. If you have an open bezel and you want a piece of fabric for the back that is not covered with resin, but the front (top) is to be covered in resin - is that possible?
Yes that is possible, I will add it to my list of videos to make for next month. There are just a few steps that you need to follow, and there are a couple of methods you can use
Steve I just saw a video of micro crochet. She used thread to crochet tiny granny squares. Some use these for crochet jewlery. I wonder if that would work in resin?
❤ the pendants. Very nice colors used in those. By the way, they do have glasses for people that are color blind and it opens up the spectrum of color for many. Something to look into. And I keep being tempted by that laser. But it’s so pricey. Yet love the engraving it does. Easier than doing my own engraving but my handwriting is epic I’ve been told. Cool tutorial yet again. ❤❤❤ the tutorials you do. 🥰
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Too bad about the glasses. Yeah, I’ll wait on the laser. Have already blown a bundle on resin equipment and tumbler equipment. So the laser will have to wait a couple months.
Hi Steve, loved the video as always 👍 One thing is I cannot find that lamp and I’d love to get one. Not sure if it’s me but I just can’t find it, any chance you could provide a link to it in the uk? 😊
Hi I was wondering if you could do me a test please. I am wanting to know if mica power will pick a fingerprint up off of clear resin?. A small test would be really appreciated 👍🏼
Those are really cool bezels. I went to the Amazon page for them and found more cute ones. I have a mighty need. lol! Also, where did you get that new lamp? Is it not out yet for JDiction? I would love to have a larger one like that.
Is that Diction UV light an early release? I looked on Amazon (U.S.) and don't see it. I would LOVE to have one that I could see how much time was left.
Great Bezels! And that distinguished moustache, wow. Really fits you 👍🫶
If you fold your end of the tape onto itself you have a place to hold without it sticking to your hand/glove. 🫶🏼
I was about to say this!
Love these bezels! They are classy looking!
Very nice.
I started using both UV and Epoxy resin because I watched your amazing step by step tutorials thanks so much

The circles remind me of planets. Magic school bus space earrings! 🪐

What a cool idea to use cabs in the centers of the round bezels, Steve! Brilliant! 👍😍 Everything turned out so nice. 😊
Your videos do cheer me up, love all your resin projects
Love them! I really like the colors of the UV ones
Beautiful! ❤❤❤
Nice work Steve. Also - like the look of that big UV lamp
Looks good Steve
very cool Steve...love them!
Beautiful, Steve. 👏🏻
Love those bezels! Those pieces turned out gorgeous!
It's colorful and nice.
They are all fantastic. I love the bezels.😊❤
those are beautiful thank you for sharing
A brayer works really well to stick the bezels on the tape.
Hi Steve, Loved the way your pendants turned out really colourful & very pretty my favourite one was the round ones thanks for sharing 👍❤️

Just ordered these and the cat and moon so sweet looking 😅
I love this bezels and especially the idea of adding the cabachon! Which you could also do to the moon bezel. Thank you!!
These came out super cute ❤
Steve they really did turn out really pretty❤️👍🏻
Amazing as always x
😂you are so sweet and funny love your work too.
These are neat. I think it would be fun to do them in school colors for the school districts in your area.
They must be sold out of the geometric bezels, I can't find them or the new larger jdiction uv lamp! Love them!
Thank you. 😊
Thank you, Dr. Mc. Interesting to see how clean your curing lamp is now. How long before it gets grubby looking, like mine.🤣
Those are really cool. I love the round ones with the awesome centers. Great job! Thanks!❤
Love them,they're so pretty ❤😊
Great video. Thanks 🙏🏾
Those look great ❤
Been using these for a bit. Do them like stained glass
These are great❤
I can’t seem to find the uv lamp by JDiction that you were using on this project.
