Thank you Steve! I love your videos and I am learning so much on my new resin journey 😊 and I am glad to know I am not the only one who gets impatient and takes the pieces out too early 😉 Blessings!
Thank you for your videos.they are so helpful. But I would mainly like to say thanks for adding a touch of lightheartedness to our lives. Just what we all need right now . If I was giving a dinner party you would be first on my list. I think you’re brilliant. Thanks again. Take care and, please, stay safe. X
the coaster reminds me of autumn leaves :D beautiful, as always & thank you for inspiring me to get my butt in gear to start making lots of resin projects
I love the layering concept! I have made beaded jewelry and worked with resin for a while. I recently added wire-wrapping stones to my recently retired list of hobbies. I somehow ended up with many shells ready-to-string. I plan to 'stabilize' the shells with resin on both sides. I have postponed starting the process due to concerns re wasting resin. Your idea re using your technique to create lovely jewelry is the perfect solution. Plus I can add the layered pcs to my inventory. It's a win-win! Thank you for sharing your informative and entertaining videos.
whoop whoop young man - you did it again - what an awesome idea, I really love those, and they are now on my to do list ( I have a very long Steve McDonald to do list!! x
Me too my list is humongous. I love Steve's videos thay are very interesting and helped me with my projects. I will keep watching them. I wish I could afford to be a member.steve keep up the good work.
How lovely! So they now have resin kits at Hobby Lobby, idk if you have one in the UK but online they should have them! It comes with everything you need for the project including the resin, the paint, or alcohol inks and the molds or wood, also acetate paper ( plexiglass lol) I wanted to tell you about it since I know love crafts as much as I do!
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I kind of figured you didn't, I'm wondering if you have something similar to our craft shops, Joann's Fabric which is fabric and crafts then Michael's craft store, those are our big ones but I wish we had some small cheaper ones since all 3 of those are kind of expensive
I love all of these gorgeous I'm a decent painter thank you so much for this video love the layers effect with have great Christmas gifts to make mmmouah
This gave me some ideas to try out so thank you. I like the pendant you domed on the front but to be honest I think it's down to the colours and how you put them in, rather than which side you domed
This is a great technique! I knew it was possible to paint mica powder directly into the molds, but I never thought of trying it with acrylic paints! So you could take coaster molds like the one you used in this video - with a rim - and paint just the rims different colors before pouring! I’ll definitely have to try that!! Thanks
Hello Steve, First, thank you for all your videos! I have learned so much! Second, I have a question, do you spray mold release before you apply the acrylic paint?
I have a question after 5 days of waiting mine is still a little tacky when I touch it. What can I do? Should I make more resin and put a thin layer over it and see if it will dry properly this time? Or try a hair dryer? I don't want to throw them out i spent a lot of money on flowers. Any suggestions?
Waste of pipets and plastic not reusable in anyway when you could use a stirring stick or silicone stirrer and have just as much control or easier use UV resin 😉👌also saves money like using yoghurt pots instead of chucking them out 😉

Watched this and enjoyed it, I have some jewellery molds that I’m getting rid of and wondered whether you want them?
Great idea! They look a bit like Autmn leaves.

Really like the layers Steve, gave me some inspiration 🤔 could you dome both sides? Or is there a reason not to?
I think I would dome the front and back. I like the wire through the hole
I love all of these gorgeous I'm a decent painter thank you so much for this video love the layers effect with have great Christmas gifts to make mmmouah
That's a great new technique Steve, thank you. Like both ways you did the pendants and I love the coaster, will have to try that, all very pretty :)
I really love how they turned out I will have to try that .

Love the idea of acylic painting and love the dome! how long do you let the resin sit before you paint another layer on it ?
Great work man! Just one question, when doming the back why don't you leave them in the mold? It seems to me easier.
Love this idea. I do wonder if you can do this first then maybe a layer of alcohol inks??
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Thank you so much for the info.
Hello, have you tried stained glass paints with resin?
Hiya I’m just wandering if u would need to use a blow torch after each layer? And after doming? Or at all? Thanku
Such a great idea ! I actually was thinking myself to paint in the numbers on a clock mold with acrylic as i don't have posca pens . Will that work?
Hello Steve, First, thank you for all your videos! I have learned so much! Second, I have a question, do you spray mold release before you apply the acrylic paint?
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Thank you ever so much. I am just starting and it helps bunches!
Could you do this with the uv resin?
How long have to wait after pour the 1st resin
Do you have to heat them for them to cure?
How do you clean out the pipettes?
Anyone can please explain this non native speaker what he means for doming? Results are spectacular
...and if you look for 'dome' in google images you immediately see it :-D
Hola, la pintura que utilizaste por favor es acrílica?. Gracias 😃
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts muchas gracias
