My sister and her husband almost never fight, and the tip she gives is this: whichever one of them is the first to notice that the other one is upset says "I'm sorry," even if they don't think it's entirely their fault. It defuses the argument because it instantly acknowledges that the other person is angry or distressed, and then the other one automatically apologizes as well and they can get past their emotions a little and talk about it. I thought that was a really amazing bit of advice.
Imposter syndrome in college is soooo real for me right now. Love your advice! It’s so hard to remember that you deserve to be where you are. Great video! 💗
Being a woman in tech, imposter syndrome has been something I have struggled with a lot. Sometimes we just need to take time to remember that our success is not because of luck, its our own hard work and dedication that put us where we are. I feel like this subject definitely isn't talked about enough so thanks for bringing it up in this vid!
Really great advice, especially the advice about your family/friends not liking the person you’re with. I had the opposite problem, my family liked the guy and I (deep down) wasn’t in love. Unfortunately, that led to a marriage, then divorce. My husband now is everything I’ve always wanted in a partner and the best thing about him is that I love him and my family loves him.
I truly love this style of video--it makes me feel like we're in the room together having a conversation! It makes you seem very relatable (although you're already one of the most relatable UA-camrs I subscribe to). I just love seeing your lifestyle and recognizing how hard you worked to get there, so you inspire me to work just as hard! Hope you're having a Merry Christmas, Carrie!! xoxo
I remember when you first posted this, and it was one of my fave videos back when I was going through some self-love education. It came up on my feed today as a blast from the past- and I wanted to comment to you to remind you of it ❤. You’re “all grown up” now- but still just as lovely.
You’re going to be the best mom! Your calmness and advise.... I can just imagine your personality being perfect for motherhood! So random to say but yeah! 🙈 I can see it for sure.
i swear when i watch your videos i feel like i'm getting advice from an older sister. i loved this relaxed and chill video! i left you a question about getting over the winter blues, maybe you can do a video on that? :)
Really like this kind of advice video. If you do another one though I’d love it if you could answer more questions and maybe just do a list of the products at the end/in the description box. I care more for what you say than the make up used :)
Ps do you still do your own manicures at home? Your nails are lovely. Im just finished doing my manicure and pedicure and last night i plucked and tinted my brows... Can you tell i enjoy self care too... Its so important!! Xx
Loved this video so much 🙌😘 the "sorry" thing I'm moving past that. My friend made me realize just how much I say it and I'm trying to get my self out of saying it when it's not necessary.
I just finished up my Glossier Haloscope in Moonstone and I loved it as well! I decided to try something new so I bought the Ciate Dewy Stix in the color Glow which is a similar color to Moonstone but the Ciate one gives a little bit more of a wet dewy look which I love. I’m liking it more than the Glossier one which is saying something! It’s so beautiful on the skin!
I’m binge watching your videos and ik you probably won’t see this nor care but thank you so much for these videos you make about self love. As dramatic as it sounds, you’ve genuinely changed my life and how I perceive myself. Thank you for being a big sister!! God bless you ❤️😊
I see this and I care. This means so much to me. I took a screenshot of this comment to look back on sometimes when I’m feeling discouraged and overwhelmed. Thank you for this. ♥️
Loved this! Thank you for answering my question about communication tips :-) so helpful and inspiring bc an area of improvement for me is bringing in humor to my sensitivity. I have been living into facing my “stuff” which is difficulty letting go of my hurt. I forget that life is too short, to knock it off and laugh, and enjoy the presence of the one you love and the one who loves you. I love your content, Carrie! ❤️😊 #sosensitiveitssexy
Please do more relationship advice, you are really good at advising -xx
aw thanks and I definitely will

You honestly look so pretty without any make up.
What do you do to take care of your hair?? I have super long hair and I live in a dry climate so I'm trying to figure out how to take care of it

Mineral based makeup seems to break out my skin. What would you suggest for that?

Oh that sounds lovely! I just picked up MILK highlighter in LIT - I’m excited to try it. Seems like it’ll be similar to Glossier Moonstone too.
I’ve been eyeing that one! Let us know what you think of it!

Curious, why do you live in LA? I just feel like the city doesn't really fit your personality/lifestyle, but that's just my opinion!
