1975 Porsche 914 PMB 5-lug Swap: Part One

In this project update we get going on installing the 5-lug swap on the 1975 Porsche 914. This is a kit that was purchased from PMB performance and allows the use of Porsche 5x130 5-lug wheels. Replacing the 4-lug hubs with 5-lug hubs makes it much easier to dial in the desired stance and look of the car.

I usually heat up the hub, and put the bearing race in the freezer, presses in easy.

Torque is in FT-LBS, not PSI.

I have always "packed" the inner and outer bearings along with a coat of grease on the lip of the seal. I would not trust just wiping some grease on the bearings. Painfully slow video.

There's a playback speed function on the menu in the upper right corner of the video - you don't have to complain, can make the video faster instead.
