Thank you for the review. I just purchased this unit for my new house. There was not a display model on the floor; so, I had to rely on reviews. I do believe I will be amazed by it. Thank you for your time putting this review together.

So after 2 years I finally figured where they "Decor Guard" goes on my gas version of your electric stove looking at your video. Nothing in manual at all as to its placement. Thank you for taking the time explaining your stove. Haven't slept in two years thinking about that sucker (not really). Be safe and thanks again.

I picked up the dual oven version yesterday. Got it from Best Buy as an open box, originally priced at 2400, on sale for 1900, walked out paying 890$, plus 159$ for 5 year extended warranty. I freaking love this oven!!

Nicole Paling we still love it. There are a few things worth bringing up. The temps needed to be adjusted, the bottom oven was about 15 degrees hotter, I searched on UA-cam and found how to adjust the heat. Also, the beautified glass top changes after a few times cooking, hard to explain but it never looks like it did brand new. Lastly we have a small chip in the “stainless steel” paint right in front. If you are getting this oven at a fraction of the price it is a no brainer. Both ovens during thanksgiving and Christmas crushed it! It is beautiful to look at as well. Congrats on the purchase.

As far as I know this stove model does not have a down draft vent. The vent at the top back is for venting the oven into the airspace above. I use a regular vent fan above the stove. A downdraft would have to be vented below and to the outdoors

You need to remove the spacer plate if you installed it and then there are two more screws, top left and right that will allow the vent cover to be removed.

They may be a type of aluminum or composite material. Often when electrical connections are behind a switch then for safety the components will not be steel to prevent shock. I wonder if they have changed them? We have pulled all 6 handles off at least once a week for 2 years now for cleaning and have never had a problem with ease of removing or breaking.

Do not buy one of these horrible stoves. Always having issues. Right now I'm locked out and can't use the stove. Even this guy can't get the lock to work. I will never buy LG again.

Bummer. sorry to hear. I read the manual after posting the video and it was easy to lock/unlock. I had the oven switch on and that's why it didn't work.. Mine is still working great after 4.5 years... Unfortunately 10 % failure is quite common on electronics nowadays. I wish you luck on your new choice. Old school coil stoves are probably your best choice
