Wowowow, I'm fresh out of the donut tutorial and this completely blew me away knowing what blender can do and actually successfully doing it myself! I learned a lot, thank you !
Once we finish, after all the compositing, how do we save the final image to our computer? (never mind I just was rendering it wrong or something, I fixed it)
This is great, learned a lot of little tricks. I like your approach to creating the vignette, I've never seen it done this way before. Quick question, do you have any tips for minimize the gradient banding that happens after adding a vignette?
I didn't get how you get the water effect, mine ocean looks very flat please help me and even my background is not coming even following composting how you did in the video.
Thank you for inspiring me! I was gonna try this in blender but decided to do it in UE5 and animate it. It turned out great! I uploaded a video of it if you want to check out what your inspiration helped me accomplish. Great tutorial, bro!
I’m using Blender 4.1 and the operator preset drop down menu doesn’t show up when I create a landscape, all other tools show up normally. Any solutions?
If you have a smaller screen it might be a little higher up in the menu. Maybe try scrolling up to see if you see it? If that's not the case I'm really not sure why it doesn't show up. However you technically don't need it. Since in the video we use Default Large you should be able to put in the same settings in as the video, then scale it up 10x. And it will look the same.
I'm so glad I finished it in just 3h! 🤩
that took you 3 hours??? mine look like 25 minutes 😂😂
Awesome! I traveled to Marion Illinois to see the Eclipse!
nice!
Just based on the thumbnail I can tell this is gonna be great.

I see that most of the lighting effects in the tourial are post_render, so if I want to render an animation instead of a single frame?
Got it! compositing effect will be applied to other frame as well, render the animation! That is OK.
Can you pl make a 15 sec animation of a stormy lightning behind the clouds?
I can’t get my final render to turn out like this. I don’t know how to combine my render layers. The only render that saves is the moon layer.

i am use ing 4.0 i dont know if it is the same but the menu is poping up for me
I did this two time and the final render doesn’t have the sky It did not render… how do you fix it?
how can you make eclipse without looking at it because it hurts your eyes?
The sky is not showing up in the final render.
Go to render output, find where it says "render result", click the little icon to the righ, and click Viewer node. That worked for me
everything was fine until rendering it doesnt gave me any waves it just straith mirrorish looking water i dont understand
It took me four hours to do this … and everything renders but the sky.😟
