Nice music from Scotland..!!!! I love it from deep down in my heart... Being a former member of an Army band in one of the Pacific Island nation,I still love pipe music, still the BEST musicians ever.. Keep The tradition alive....!!!!!!
@@tourscotland Most likely you KNOW the emotions that course through my entire being when the Pipes are playing They reach deep down and caress my Celtic soul.
the band i piped for played in a parade that was billed as 10,000 pipers march for Madam Curie. There were bands from all around the world and the military bands led from the castle. it was quite a day in the year 2000
I'm wondering if two blocks over there isn't a large tent or a changing station and this is really a hundred or so pipers and drummers that keep marching a circuit in 10 different changes of uniform and regalia ???It could happen !!! (Just foolin' lol !)
tourscotland In American history, there was actually an Indian tribe that actually did what I was joking about in reference to this magnificent parade. They would paddle past their enemy, make a right hand course around a river bend out of sight, then undetected, carry their canoes back through the forest on the far shore and put in again upstream and out of sight, and paddle down stream again so as to seem to be a mighty force !Armies of Europe and America have also used this ruse or a variation of it throughout recorded history.ALL'S FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR ! I am a Pictophile !!!
It's called Cabar Feidh, which means the antlers of the deer. It is a very adaptable tune and is often played as a strathspey or a reel as well as a march.
Carlos Rivas : Carlos, it's not colors, it's tartans. Clans have their own tartan, although nowadays it's not just Scottish clans. There are tartans for just about anything or anybody but every tartan is different in design and colors
Thanks Andy, for the explanation of the Tartan theme. I knew that the tartan with its own design belongs to each clan. Only that I commented from the most obvious, the colors. But there were members of several clans in the band, right?
I should explain that for such a parade, the girls carrying those banners were walking and out of step. I found it a bit odd that the males were marching. Maybe I missed someone. If so I am sorry. The video itself was great
The pipes are calling. Scotland Forever 💗🌺🎼🎵🎶🎵

10:22 to 10:33 - this really gets my foot going - is this a song on it's own? if so I would love to know what it is!

CADA color es un clan, ¿cuantos clanes había?
