They have the beat, the precision and the music to one be one of the greatest pipe bands! Just a pleasure to watch and hear. And please accept my greetings from the USA! These are our best friends. My respect is the same as our own soldiers!
See you Jimmy
Joseph C Callahan of course we are the British military, trained to perfection
joseph well said only problem with american military is blue on blue attacks americans love their friendly fire though like in bosnia we legged it from trucks when heard it was american fighter jets coming in
@@gavinrussell9242 No ones perfect. And you people need to stop bashing on us. Remember, without your allies, you would of been speaking German to this day.
Dawn Cunningham look at my surname, look it up , but there is no Scottish or English of welsh or northern Irish armed forces there is the 🇬🇧 armed forces, in ex 45 commando, we are uk 🇬🇧
Glad you reposted i am now binge watching, cannot get enough, obvious the difference between the discipline of the army ranks and the public rabble. In my day if i had walked in front of a parade i would have got a clump on the ear from my old man for being disrespectful to the parade.
Marching music for any occasion. Mostly when it is cold in Texas, I March to and from the pub to this. A sense of pride and a smile from ear to ear all the way. McLauren and Maxwell ancestry proud. Thank you lads. USAF salute. You know how to do it right from your cousin's!
natelaurenceable your american, not a Scot..
@@TB-bw3hj Nate never said he wasn't an american. And anyway, who the hell are YOU to pronounce from on high what someone else is?!
As a scottish american I too am proud (insanely proud) of my scottish ancestry, and I too had the honour of serving in the United States Air Force.
Shout out @Natelaurenceable ! Thank you for your service!
Your born in America lol, not Scotland. Because your grandfather from 500BC was a Scot doesn’t mean you are and stop desperately clinging onto everyone else’s heritage
Again - I'm "Scots American", just like you're "African American". That's the beauty of America - is we're ALL from someplace else. Doesn't matter where our grandfathers were born. We're here now, and YES SIR - we certainly DO hold dear to our heritage.
If you don't - then that's your business, but don't shit on those who do.
@JRRnotTolkien BLESSINGS AMIGA!! :)
5:37, the old soldiers who stands to attention. Warms my heart!
The feels, man.
Old habits, and respect.
Good spot!
How do you know that's a veteran
@@donaldyeung9658 Because it's obvious.
Let's hear it for the bass drummer, the only guy that can't take a rest!
Amazes me how that guy can parade from start to finish without missing a beat!
being a bass drummer is a lot harder than people think. Especially when you're regiment plays everything at the speed of sound.
Thats Great. You know
@@JimRamsayJWR The young dude beside the bass drummer must have very tired arms from all that twirling.
Go boys give her hell I love the order of the boys it's just that kind of music that gets your heart pumped in the morning
My grandad was in the black watch and fought on the beaches of Normandy..he was and my family are of the clan Macdonald of Glencoe...if you know your history..that my grandad was a member of a of the Blackwatch..a predominately clan Campbell regiment...then you know he had balls of steel...thank you for the pipes...they remind me of him
Or MacDhomhnaill in Gáidhlig :)
Being though born English descendant of Clan Bruce me and I fucking love it, love Clan Donald why was Aonghus Óg without them Clan Donald and the Campbells the Bruce's back in the early 1300s would have been fucked lol take care James :)

JF Mauvis this is not proud culture and history, read up on the black watch, only a small amount of brits would celebrate this regiment, this is not scottish culture
To play an instrument and March at that cadence. Wow, Hats off to you! If I were on the street and this parade would pass before me I would certainly remove my hat and come to attention and remain at attention until the whole regiment has passed by me not just for the colours.
One thing that makes me proud of serving in the U.S. Army, not only for my country and alongside with my brother and sister's in arms but also alongside with our great allies.
JUST WISH us army would spend more training on recognising friendlies blue on blue americans have a crap record
@@gavinrussell9242 If we have a crap record then why do everyone in this world always asks for our help then?
they dont ? my brother was black watch then british sas ? i was in bosnia during the war and people wanted to be no where near us forces we came under heavy fire on mount igman ? told air strike on route then someone else came on saying us air force everyone legged it from the convoy trucks

around 12:20 when those vets are lined up and that old salt calls to salute is my favorite part. just makes me smile. those old dogs looking into the faces that are the future of their nation's security, and those men in the parade looking to the faces who protected their nation in the past. what an awesome moment.
can you tell me what he says exactly i don t understand very well thanks ;) i am French
I agree 100%. One of the few times I marched soldiers in formation as a Lieutenant (US Army), there was a group of WW2 vets standing nearby for a reunion, visiting the post. I'm still not 100% sure but I thought I spotted a Medal of Honor on one of their necks (several awardees of the medal lived in the area at the time). I called an "eyes right" and saluted them as went past. Later, a couple of NCOs came up and said they thought I had lost my mind with that order, UNTIL they saw the veterans at the curb. One said, "That was a class act, Sir," which I still consider one of the best compliments I ever got from an NCO.
aw man that gave me wood!!
Me too! Just grand!!
@@eliasfastVegas Bonjour, yes, he is ordering the veterans to salute the Regiments colours ( the flags carried by the soldiers in kilts) the colours are flags with the Regiments battle honours embroidered on them. The colours of British army Regiments are held as almost sacred and are gifted to them by the monarchy
Y’all did an excellent job thank you for your song and your service we are all thinking about you just like we are all thinking about our love ones in the military we salute you
Brit Combat Engineer here ...bloody awesome.

Amazing. Great Job. Maximum respect from Switzerland.
Man, I LOVE this. Hello from New York.
Hello from Perth
Edit: if you wish to follow the route via Google Maps, the parade started at the base of Mill Street at the Perth Concert Hall and headed East towards the Perth and Kinross Council offices and turned left onto Kinoull Street, crossing onto Scott Street, the Tresspass store and church spire seen along the route is where Kinoull Street, Scott Street and the High Street meet, High Street continues from the church spire visible when passing Tresspass on down behind the cameraman to just before the River Tay, continuing along Scott Street before turning onto South Street, ironically named as the street actually runs west to east but so named as it was the southern most road in Perth at a point in history if I recall correctly.
Continuing along South Street, passing a Greggs bakers you get an opportunity to see onto the High Street and where the majority of Perthshire shopping takes place thanks to St John's Shopping centre plus the various shops along the High Street, continuing past that, the parade turns onto St John's Street passing St John's Kirk, continuing along to the end of St John's Street and turning right onto the High Street before turning Left onto George Street, at the top of which lies the Museum the building with the Pillars in white and adjoining structure to the left of the pillars, continuing back to the left to finish again outside the Concert Hall along Bridge Lane, Horse Cross and Mill Street, these 3 street names very tightly packed close together, where the parade ends.
There's some serious talent there! Looking good guys!!
Great in the foreground Scottish bagpipe music and a German sausage stand in the background. I love Scotland and the people. Unfortunately you have forcibly left the European family but you still belong to us. Best wishes to Scotland from Germany.
Yeah we were gutted about that nonsense and even more gutted with the covid-19 stuff. I made sure I caught that Gernam market stall but I tell you there was a Spanish one with the most amazing paella! Thanks for your kind comments from Sunny Scotland.
Part of Europe, nay part of the EU..thankfully.
Stand aside we're coming through, you'll nay stop us. Brilliant. 👏
We don't say, "nay", we say, "no", or if you're a Weegie it's "naw".
Half Scot , half Irish , absolutely love it , canny whack a pipe band
These cultures, these festivals must be kept for us and next generations. Our Police must not forget these songs and music. I like these music always on my line of UA-cam. We share historical facts and missions, we are part of them. Let's saved these cultures for our Police. These soldiers just came from Iraq.
Wow! Excellent! I must have been a Scot in a previous life. I love this!
Doesn't matter who you are, the pipes and drums will always get you going
Starting off their march right from a German Bratwurst stand, hehe...
I deliberately planned that to be a feature of the video! LOL
i am german.... and i like it....lol
Ja unsere Bratwurst gibts jetzt überall. Schade nur das die Briten nicht mehr in der EU sind.
Well at least if your Bratwurst slips out the loaf its definitely safe to eat judging by how clean and immaculate that street is.
That's as good drumming as I've ever heard . The pipes are perfect .
Watch a Scottish Tattoo on here, and you will see some impressive drumming.
The drumming here is good, what you would expect from competent people, but the tattoos are amazing.
Crackin pace for pipes. Fantastic
Nothing, absolutely nothing beats marching behind a quality pipe band - did it for 16 years in the colours - and I'm English to the core!
Not one inch out of line, not one beat out of time. BRILLIANT!
7:35 1st element, 2nd to last rank. Son, how do you get out of step with those drums?!
Fart Raptor because they echo of the building that why often you hear a call out of left right to keep it in time
Prefer kilts. These guys are in shape. Love the pipe and drum. They just look kick-ass. (BTW 70 and 1/2 Irish). Bless and protect them.
I used to see pipes every Sunday past my tenement block in London Bridge x

My Grandfather Major George Duncan was a member of the Blackwatch and a founding member of the SBS during WWII, he was friends with Sterling and Paddy Maine and all the well known Special Forces soldiers. He was awarded the Military Cross and Bar by the King on his return from the war. He is mentioned in just about every book about the SBS that’s ever been written. My politics are very different from my Grandfathers. I’m a socialist and a nationalist. Of course I understand that every Blackwatch soldier will be a Unionist. That’s a shame because Scotland could do with such brave men when we become independent.
Best of the best, what a battalion.
My grandfather was with the Blackwatch at Edinburgh castle before he migrated to Australia a long long tam ago!
In Scotland that would be pretty shameful, not something you’d shout about

Lukas johns, im English but always had an affinity with the pipes and anything Scottish so I joined the Scots guards in my 20,s and served six years and loved marching behind the pipes and drums . Only recently I found out my great grandfather served in the Cameron highlander on the Somme in ww1, maybe thats where the connection is.

To overcome the copyright nonsense yes.
@@JimRamsayJWR I’m also repeatedly being victimized by those kinds of ‘Content ID claim thieves’, as I’d love to call them. Thankfully, after a few months, I try doing the ‘Restore video’ to see if the fraudulent claims got removed by youtube, and a huge chunk of them did. you might wanna try doing it to this video to see if the false claims got removed if the other victimized channels complained about the fraudsters. If the claims pop up after restoring, you can just mute the claimed audio bits again :)
