As an American, even I won't deny that Britain is the greatest country to ever produce rock
Rock God big plus one on your comment RG...
Stuart Barriskell thanks bro
With bands like the Beetles, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden and the Who rock would not be the same. Although I wouldn't call any of these bands the best rock bands. Although I think Britain has created the majority of good rock bands. America had made a lot of good rock bands as well. For example look at the grunge music which created bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Pearl Jam
+Carter Myer Can't forget Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Doors, Guns n Roses, Eagles, Jimi Hendrix
Rock God I just used Alice in Chains, Nirvana and Pearl Jam because they are all grunge which was the example I was using
"Top British Rock Bands" is almost the same as saying "Top Rock Bands" without any specifications =).
Can you make your nationality any less obvious?
+Thomas Thompson This is one thing we definitely do the best so now we can't sorry
+Thomas Thompson I mean... He's not wrong. These guys are amongst the best of the best. Although I should say that these bands transcend nationalities and create one of their own where we all just appreciate good music.
+Sam Davies if an American said something similar, even about a different subject, the American would be vilified by the same people that cheer when their own nationality does the same thing.
The doors, the monkees, the eagles, Chicago, nirvana, guns and roses, CCR, Metallica, pearl jam, Zz top, red hot chili peppers, ABBA, AC/DC, and many countless more. Get your music straight lmao
Queen at #5 just proves Britain is the powerhouse of music
Yes
Nah they shouldn't even be on the list
Strange cause they're #5 here but on the one with the greatest overall bands they're #3.

And bands are dying anyways

Why not just put greatest rock bands ? They are a British anyways
Because Van Halen exist.
Most of the best rock bands are brittish, indeed. But in my eyes, there is still multiple good American rock bands, though many have been over saturates and turned into pop messes, like train.

The beatles is #1 for sure. But i like your list, the top 5 is exactly the same for me except for the number 1, because are the beatles.
Wonder how do you put Queen, Pink floyd and Led Zeppelin in this list, they are from another planet......
mk Sinha every time that I listen to Animals, or Dark Side of the Moon I space out, absolutely brilliant music
Because Led Zeppelin is way better than Queen. Queen is my favorite band of all time, but Led Zeppelin had better musicians. Jimmy Page was a better guitar player than Brian May, John Bonham makes Roger Taylor look like a baby, John Deacon has nothing on John Paul Jones, but Freddie still beats Robert on singing.
@@encoreplant8280 HOW CAN U SAY THAT
Melinda M. It’s just the facts. Robert’s voice was much to different from Freddie’s to compare, JPJ’s bass playing was otherworldly. He never played a simple bassline like John Deacon. If it is possible to shred on a bass, JPJ did it. For John Bonham and Jimmy Page, just watch in my time of Dying live at Earls court 1975. John Bonham kills it on the drums, and Page’s guitar shredding is 90% IMPROVISED. Queen could never do what Zepp did
Edit: about the singing

And was wishing it will be coldplay
The Beatles took #1. You were right.

it's actually pretty funny because the title of the video could be just: "Top 10 Rock Bands"
Yep. On their top 10 rock bands of all time list the top 6 were all British. My list would probably have at least 8 be British.
vdd, a maioria das maiores bandas de Rock n Roll são inglesas.
eh idk about that. ac/dc were aussie's, scopions were german etc.
Vitor Ferreira Muse? Or what about the Smiths????
if it would be just regular rock bands then like Queen
Oasis is so underrated but I’m glad it got an honourable mention
Playlist guy they are underrated in the sense that in the 90s they were the best band in the world for a good 5 years. They had a bigger fan base and a much bigger influence than the likes of Queen, Led Zep, Pink Floyd etc yet today they are considered a bit of a joke alongside those bands today. They are starting to come back to their former glory however with Live Forever being voted as the greatest British song ever, last year.
Bite Za Warudo oasis isn’t underrated they just suck

My favorite
British: Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Beatles, Cream, The Who, Deep Purple, Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Police, Oasis, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath..
American: The Jimi Hendrix Experience, AC/DC, Ramones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, Aerosmith, The Doors, Bon Jovi, The Stooges, Van Halen, GnR, The White Stripes, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails,..
Non English/American: AC/DC, Scorpion, U2, Yngwie Malmsteen, Air Supply, Europe,...
and there's many more.. Sometimes I also listen to indie bands more like heavy metal, punk, hardrock.. Sometimes more blues and jazzy..
Overall I listened to British and European music more than American music, but I love both British and American (not american music these days)
Old stuff is better than these days.
unlimited1st AC/DC is Australian, not American, and Brian Johnson is British anyway
I know AC/DC is Australian. That's why I said "Non English/American".
unlimited1st acdc are Australian
Ac/dc are australian with a british singer and JHE are English
You would like Accept. They're german.
Who else was just waiting to see in What number queen was?
gays?
j or What?
j or only Freddie was gay, still the greatest band in the fucking world, the biggest rock band in the whole world, and were real music pioneers
The Deztructor same, n5? Are you serious?, i think it should atleast be n2
Monteiro Silva well lit always depends on which aspects youre judging from
Most of the people saying that Queen should be No. 1 because of the movie or because they are stuck with it and they haven't get to know and listen other bands. Lets be realistic Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles have more influence in not only on pop culture also a lot much more in music, and I really respect your love to Queen (I like them to) but don't comment that they should be No. 1 if you don't know other bands.
Ofcourse Beatles 1
2. The Stones
But 3 should be Queen
Exactly
Well I think music is subjective. I don't think there should be any comparison. I mean, it's clear, without the Beatles there wouldn't be any rock n roll as we know it. But musicwise Queen is better than the Stones or the Led Zeppelin. Maybe not as influential but surely better. Imo Queen and Pink Floyd together deserve the 2nd spot.
You're godamn right hahahaha
Rose_ph so are Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones and the Beatles. Freddie mercury may have been the best performer in the world, no doubt, but the influence of the top 4 far surpassed that of queen. Queen is Pop, Mainstream, Catchy, Wholesome and family friendly to an extent, which contradicts that of the essence of rock. There is a reason it's called rock and roll and not rock and soul
Thank you England from Italy
Lets make it simple guys, what is the most sale álbum in the UK ?
Queen Greatest Hits
Greatest Hits albums aren't studio albums though, so it doesn't really count. If you exclude compilation albums then Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band by The Beatles is the best selling, followed by Adele's 21 and Oasis' (What's The Story) Morning Glory?. And I think we can all agree Adele and Oasis aren't that great.
Who is biggest selling artist of all time? Ofcourse the beatles queen not even top 20 in total sales.
Shittiest argument I ever seen. Justin Bieber for example sold millions of copies and records all around the world and that doesn't makes him a great musician.
Che pedazo de crack, las ventas no tienen nada que ver, genio. Mirá en tu continente mejor que tenés muchos mejores músicos como el Flaco Spinetta o Charly García por ejemplo
Sooo true
There is absolutely no arguing for me. England has been pumping out the best music for the past sixty years. Thank you!

What is the other 90%? XD
Queen should be before pink floyd which I think was four but def leppard is not a British at all and Radiohead is good but should not be in the top ten and genesis should have been in the top ten British bands.
Queen fans is toxic queen not even better than rolling stone and they demand that the queen should be number one?
@@WalterWhite-es6gj i just noticed XD
No... Why Everyone Love Queen?!

Best British bands of all time = The best bands in the world 🌎

American rock and roll died out in the late 50's and early 60's, but it thrived in Great Britain.
Then British rock and roll became a worldwide phenomenon. It was their music now. The Brits made rock music better.
American rock died in the 50s???? So were just gonna forget red hot chili peppers, nirvana pearl jam metallica alice n chains stp offspring pixies weezer audioslave ????
@@90sgrungefan51 most of them were influenced by Black Sabbath, The Beatles, and Led Zeppelin. I'm just telling the history of rock music from the 50's and 60's, not the evolution into the 90's or 2000's. American rock and roll made its way into England before it died out in the U.S., the Brits brought it back in a whole new way. I've done my homework.
@@jedhawkins1769 But weren't British rock bands like the Beatles influenced by American rock artists like, Chuck berry, Elvis Presley, buddy holly, And bob dylan, without American rock and roll British rock and roll wouldn't exist
@@robertpage815 I know that. I'm just saying that rock and roll almost died out in the early 60's due to Elvis joining the army, Chuck Berry got arrested and sent to jail, Jerry Lee Lewis getting involved in a scandal, the radio career and reputation of rock and roll DJ Alan Freed was destroyed by payola, Little Richard left music to become a preacher in church. And worst of all, The Day The Music Died, when music sensations Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. The Big Bopper, all perished in a plane crash.
Then pop and surf music were all over the American charts.
Then suddenly, rock and roll made a comeback in a big way when the British Invasion happened and more rock music took over the charts than ever before. Coming up with new and innovative ideas for rock and roll. 50's rock and roll was all typical love and heartbreak, but the 60's rock and roll had lots of new ideas for songs. I did my homework on all this music history.
@@jedhawkins1769 The British invasion started with the Beatles and their debut album "Please Please me" which was released in 1963.
In 1961 like you mentioned earlier surf rock was taking over with the beach boys first album "surfin safari" in 1961 you also had Johnny cash and Bob Dylan and actually telling complex stories in their songs you also had Ray Charles, And what probably is one of the most influential singers of all time Little Richard.
While yes the the major players of the u.s where going away new and more youthful ones came who embodied rock and roll more elagantly.
But I do agree British rock bands tend to be better and more experimental
Cream, The Jimi Hendrix Experience (Jimi came to the London and joined with Mitchell and Redding), The Bee Gees (from the Isle of Man, a British dependency), Joy Division, The Animals, Deep Purple, The Sex Pistols, Blur, The Cure, Fleetwood Mac etc

This is the thing with the beatles.... this is why so many people think they are pop, they stopped touring in 1966, and always, everywhere all you see is the videos from 63 to 65. singing she loves you, i feel fine and i want to hold your hand... and maybe hey jude or something. that's what people watches, people who don't search for what they were really really praised... it began with Rubber Soul, december 5th 1966, no single, no music videos, no nothing. and it is a MASTERPIECE it is amazing, better than anything from the other bands except like dark side of the moon or led zepellin IV or the first led zepellin album, then you got Revolver, another master piece, from taxman to tomorrow never knows, it was so good and complex that they couldn't perform any song live, then you sgt peppers lonely hearts club band, what can you say about those that hasn't already been said? then you got an EP called Magical Mystery Tour, and some really great singles like All You Need Is Love, Penny Lane/StrawberryFields, then they realesed the white album, a master piece, no singles, no music videos, the only way you can get to know it is buying the goddam thing, it has everything, heavymetal, pop, classic rock, psychedelic, even the weirdes track ever (revolution 9), then you got a really good, but not masterpiece "Let it Be" album, with 3 or 4 good songs but that's it... and then you got a goodbye love letter, Abby FREAKING Road, a freaking masterpiece, come together, something, the medley, here comes the sun.... it is amazing, a perfect discography, no crappy albums, no filler songs, this is why the Beatles are the best, you can say you don't like them, but saying they are not the greatest, it is saying a lie.
+ruben escaray It is worth reading if you think the beatles are overrated
Sgt. Pepper, Rubber Soul, White Album, and Abby Road are perfect albums in my eyes. I especially love Rubber Soul seeing how heavily it influenced The Beach Boy's Pet Sounds (my second favorite album ever). The Beatles and pretty much every band on this list changed music as we knew it.
this is the comment that all those "the beetlez r overrated XD im so cool and diferentt" bastards need

Queen is definitely not my favorite, but damn Mercury’s voice was loud, big, and 100% into every song

I think they say I was born at the wrong time because they would of loved to experience 'old' music when it was new...
+VideoDeadGaming its not about being able to listen to the music, its missing the zeitgeist of the movement
+SaintPhoenixx But records are beautiful.
+VideoDeadGaming I actually think it's silly people say in the past music was better. But although the charts are mess nowadays, the indie scene is still amazing. While I see the 60's and 70's do have a lot of influence, some indie music nowadays do a lot of things better. But the thing is: they won't become real classics, like Bohemian Rhapsody. Not because their worse (maybe they are even better), but because they don't have time to reach a big audience.
Yes, Beatles #1, of course. From 1964-1968 they changed everything--and blew open what was possible in rock. Every other group on this list listened to them, and was influenced by them. But after that obvious pick, it's easy to quibble about order. So much talent on this list.
I think you mean 1963-1970 but, yeah, they changed the game of popular music and allowed alternative, creative sounds to creep into the charts. A shame to see that has really ended recently. Hopefully we'll all get bored soon and we can push more unique music back into positions that casual listeners get to experience.
My guy forgot Abbey road in 1969😮
THE BEATLES will always be #1! They have influenced many bands of today.
I really like these bands.
I think UK has many good bands.
Are are you fucking kidding me ? LED ZEPPELIN #1 always and forever
agree
Fuck yes
+StephanWayne2black No one will be better than the Beatles
+Ashley Bargenquast Led Zeppelin already are
Alan nice joke
Deep Purple, Muse, Sex Pistols, Yes.
cream?
charlie172011 Yes should definitely be here. Close To The Edge might be the best work of rock music ever made.
I have listened Fragile and it's beautiful, it gives me the feeling that I'm hearing pure art. I will listen to Close to the Edge and The Yes Album very soon.
charlie172011 I prefer Ramones over sex pistols
sex pistols would have to be the worst band of all timeeeeeeeeee.
People saying Queen are better than Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Stones and Pink Floyd just shows they have probably never listened to any other rock band other than Queen.
Agreed
They probably have never listened completly to a Queen's album
For me, it goes like this:
10. The Who
9. Radiohead
8. The Police
7. Iron Maiden
6. Black Sabbath
5. Pink Floyd
4. The Beatles
3. Rolling stones
2. Led Zeppelin
1. Queen
For me:
5. The Jimi Hendrix Experience
4. The Rolling Stones
3. Pink Floyd
2. The Beatles
1. Led Zeppelin
@@carlneoh5843 Nice list. Led Zeppelin is definitely an otherworldly band. I just personally prefer Queen for their diversity and Freddie Mercury's unmatched vocals.
@@carlneoh5843 best list.
Although I'd add Sabbath in it and it's perfect
You're the one who likes 80 Queen songs
@@villainousappetite8841 And?
Really? No Deep Purple? Come on they were a fantastic band with so much influence!
your right.... should be there and nr.1
And why is Queen 5th
David Irza deep purple or the animals!
David Irza very sexy profile pic
True dat.
I think queen should've been higher. Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody to love, we will rock you. So many classics!
Yes!!!
+Edwin Chauca I love Queen's albums! well, except hot space. they had good albums.
+theepicpebble99 They should be number 1 :) .
ikr
Beatles has cemented its legendary status that no matter what happens in the future it will never be moved from the top of this list.
The Netherlands has a Top 2000 and the beatles fall lower and lower each year.
@@bigds9fan Well ever since Now and Then came out, everyone is still listening to them. The Beatles even "dethroned" Taylor Swift on Spotify.
1. Led Zeppelin
2. Pink Floyd
3. The Beatles
4. Queen
5. The Rolling Stones
6. Iron Maiden
7. Black Sabbath
8. The Who
9. Radiohead
10. Deep Purple
Miist3rDuce1 why
Have you ever heard about band called "Deep Purple" ?
I'm a bit "green" in all of this but have Deep Purple done something more significant than just "Smoke on the Water"?
+Imagination Abused by IAMSIX Lol xD Do you know albums like Machine Head, Deep Purple 3 , Fireball or live album Made In Japan? All have world's best songs just like Highway Star, Space Truckin or Strange Kind of Woman.
Martin Dobranský Indeed, I'm green in here.
+Imagination Abused by IAMSIX Actually you are not alone as I think the same. This is also my worst riff of all time.
John Cornell "Edgy"
dire straits should have been on there can you make an other one. Who agrees with me?
no one
I do
Eyjólfur Karlsson yes, totally over police
Watchmojo always shits on Dire Straits. They even put Mark Knopfler on their most underrated guitarists list. He's only underrated on this youtube channel :P
@@blackbird351 He is not underrated by people who know guitar. As a player and innovator, he is held with the same esteem as his contemporaries, Eddie Van Halen and Randy Rhoads. But, while those players styles were copied by other guitarists, everyone seemed content to let let Knopfler remain unique. And, he is now the only one of the three who is still around to make music.
Pretty good, but mine would be (in no particular order):
Beatles
Rolling Stones
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Queen
Black Sabbath
Sex Pistols
The Clash
Oasis
The Who
I personally don’t like the Rolling Stones but I respect them massively and understand why people like them but all the rest of the were great
I concur with this list but would have the Stone Roses on ther as well
Def Leppard should be more than just an honorable mention
No mention of Deep Purple or Dire Straits?
Exactly
IKR!
+Thorben Busch i think its because the Quo arent well known over in america so they do not that know much about them even thou here they are a British tradition a bit like Paul McCartney playing Hey Jude at an event and milking it for the millionth time lol
Deep Purple should be here, I like them more than Led Zeppelin and being behind a few of these others is laughable
+Usman Ali Cream and Fleetwood Mac too.
Think this list is better:
10.- Radiohead
9.- The Clash
8.- Black Sabbath
7.- The Who
6.- The Kinks
5.- Pink Floyd
4.- The Rolling Stones
3.- Queen
2.- Led Zeppelin
1.- The Beatles
put pink floyd in 3 it will be great
you should not consider putting pink floyd at #1 .... not at all
Beatles Zeppelin stones
Are the best 3 bands that ever existed period.
It's just what order you put then in
That's debatable!
My favorite bands are queen and The Who along with The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin
Din Djarin what’s wrong with movies?
My List
10. Joy Division
9. Queen
8. The Cure
7. The Who
6. The Smiths
5. Led Zeppelin
4. The Rolling Stones
3. Radiohead
2. Pink Floyd
1. The Beatles
Honourable Mentions: The Clash, Black Sabbath, The Stones Roses, Genesis, Deepece mode, King Crimson
RADIOHEAD in front of Zeppelin, 😂😂😂
No bad Company ? Why ?
K S They’re ok, but nowhere near the top 15
Joshua Vargas ANY BAND in front of Zeppelin? 😂😂😂
No Black Sabbath, no Iron Maiden, no Deep Purple?.
The cure deserved an honourable mention
YES%
Queen the 5th ??
I thouhgt they would be the first or second
+Christy Dolan Queen did Bohemian Rhapsody and did a revolution in rock and roll. They did many hits thru all over the years, sold millions and millions of copies and inspired most of the successful artists in the 2000s. Queen deserves at least top 3 and u deserves to stop writing things u don't know in Internet
+jesusfish I agree with u (only in the part that Starway is 10x better I disagree. For me, Bohemian is better, but this is personal) but the influence Queen has on the industry doesn't have relation with Led Zeppelin. Both bands are excellent and both deserve to be in Top 3. I'm saying that it's totally wrong to say that Queen only started their success and influence after Live Aid and I'm saying that's and absurd to put Queen out of the Top 3 (like putting Led Zeppelin out of the top 3 is an absurd too)
+Christy Dolan Queen formed in 1970 Live Aid was just the greatest live performance they had a big influence they had concerts all over England
Queen are in no way on the same level as Zeppelin, Beatles or Stones. Never had anywhere near the same impact or influence and seeing as their biggest selling and most famous 'album' is a collection of hit singles, that says it all.
Where is Queen's IV or Physical Graffiti or Abbey Road or Revolver or Exile on Main Street etc etc??
Stairway clearly influenced Rhapsody. It was the blueprint for songs like Rhapsody (long epic spiraling song that builds and builds and goes off in another direction before all quieting down at the end). Queen were huge Zeppelin fans. There would be no Rhapsody without Stairway and Queen wouldn't have been like they were without Zeppelin.
10: The Kinks
9: Iron Maiden
8: The Who
7: Black Sabbath
6: The Rolling Stones
5: Radiohead
4: Queen
3: Pink Floyd
2: Led Zeppelin
1: The Beatles
I don't quite get it how could you put Led Zeppelin at #2 when they nicked half of their songs with out giving credit. They're immensely talented but they ripped off lots of songs.
DCSportsFan Beatles are overrated and perhaps switch places with queen and replace Beatles with DIO
BarredToaster4556387 K yes, I admire and appreciate their contributions to music but their music just seems very soft and a bit sappy at times. I don’t understand how in modern terms they’re ‘rock’ since their more like primitive pop which isn’t bad it’s just resembles more to pop than rock. Helter skelter was a one off and really they don’t or should even qualify as a rock band plus queen, led, DIO etc are far better with superior instruments and lyrics
How are the Beatles over rated queen is over rated

7: Queen
8: Black Sabbath
Radiohead at 3 and queen at 7 ???? are u out of your mind ???!!!!
and black Sabbath is not a rock band more so heavy metal
+Zohan SK it's his personal top list -_-"
+frodofraggins I approve all but 1. The Who are better than 6. But your list whatever.
+Zohan SK OMG someone has an opinion different than your own
Led Zeppelin are the best imo
Led Zeppelin, Beatles and Pink Floyd. The trio of British rock
Other great and influential British rock bands: Deep Purple / Cream / Jimi Hendrix Experience / Yes / Small Faces / The Yardbirds / The Moody Blues / ELO / Fleetwood Mac / Small Faces / Status Quo / The Sweet / Dire Straits / Motorhead / Rainbow / Uriah Heep / Bad Company / Free / Mott The Hoople / King Crimson / Dire Straits......So many! Even AC/DC has British roots and the rock band Foreigner was half British and formed by two Brits.
Slash from G 'n R was effectively English too!
How can you forget Oasis
Electric Light Orchestra
Fucking amazing band I’ve been saying that for years
ELO is very under appreciated
My 2nd favourite band after the Beatles
The creativity of Jeff Lynne! I listen to all those hits from the 70s and it blows my mind that one man wrote, sang and produced all these songs. Genius!
Oasis just a honorable mention? This video is offensive
I agree. They should be higher than radiohead
And why do they always show DLBIA each time they mention Oasis?
+Gabriel Lucas i know.
Yep. Anyone who knows anything about British music knows that Oasis is one of the top 4 or 5 influential and significant bands in British history.
Why are Queen at 5
And where tf are the smiths and joy Division
Queen is so overrated and shouldn't even be in the list
Queen suck
CLAPTON hey that’s his/her opinion
Queen don't even deserve to be in top 5.
@@clapton3800 you suck
How the stone roses and arctic monkeys didn't even get an honourable mention but genesis did is beyond me
YES! And blur
Peter Gabriel Genesis is fucking great.
LOL!
Don’t even compare Genesis and Arctic Monkeys! Arctic Monkeys are good, but Genesis are one of the all time greats!
I think there's so many great British bands that it's hard to make a top 10 list but you guys did pretty well. Especially with the top 2. There's simply no better than the Beatles and the Stones
Oops. I meant to say Top 3. There's also no comparing to Zepplin either lol
+ShyGuyDY I agree with the top six. A lot of groups are missing so a second and third video needs to be made. Also Eric Clapton needs to be in this list somehow, perhaps via Cream?
Judas Priest isn't even an honorable mention?
Out of EVERY British band I wouldn't put Judas Priests on here.
+Chris Collins Metal is rock. Why do you think Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath on here?
I'm more pissed off at no mention of Deep Purple
+Chris Collins Yet Iron maiden is?
Chris Collins Heavy Metal: a subgenre of rock music developed in the late 60s to early 70s with roots in psychedelic and blues rock.
1st place: Queen-Led Zeppelin-The Beatles-Pink Floyd
alvaro elorrieta The Clash
The is definitely justification for putting any of those in the number one spot!
not queen
Why does everyone forget about def leppard...?
1.The Beatles
2.Queen
3.Led Zeppelin
4.Pink Floyd
5.The Rolling Stones
6.Black Sabbath
LostPlaces By DB rolling stones a bit higher up
who are the queen ?
aristidis bird freddy mercury, john deacon etc.
lol,,,queen is group for 20+place,,,,and the black sabbath had played support to Deep Purple in the california jam.:)
aristidis bird queen have more well known songs than anyone else on this list including the beatles
HOW WHERE THE SMITHS NOT EVEN MENTIONED
+James 99 Thank you...
Most of if not all of the bands on this list are mainstream. I mean, seriously, Black Sabbath over The Smiths or Blur? LOL.
weren't as big as these bands
the thing is if they include the smiths it all becomes more complicated because they have to consider all the other great bands from Madchester
If you ask me the smiths would have been number 1 easily but obviously get overlooked because of the popularity of every other band
My favourites are The Beatles and Queen (I'm a pre-movie fan so don't come at me). I love Pink Floyd and I like the Rolling Stones. But not a Led Zeppelin fan.
@Ok Zoomerdude chill I'm a Led Zeppelin fan too but I remember hearing them for the first time and not liking them either, thought Robert Plant's moaning was uncomfortable especially near my parents
@Ok Zoomer you?
Yep-those are four of my favorite groups ever! So glad they’re all on the list!
Where is Dire Straits ? Even Mark Knopfler was on you guys underrated guitarist list?
And you out the Police in the list (the bands are very close) and Cream?, Best living guitarist.
+kylethedalek Cream is so overlooked, especially compared to Led Zeppelin.
+kylethedalek Well, I was hoping to see them but I couldn't expect WM to put them in. Same goes for E.L.O. This list is so commercial, it might turn you into a teleshopping host.
+R0DisG0D that's so true.
+Steven Jakobsen haha not kidding. A lot of their stuff lately has been with money they have gotten to give an agenda.
I predict no American bands

.08 Queen
.07 The Animals
.06 The Who
.05 Genesis
.04 The Rolling Stones
.03 Pink Floyd
.02 The Beatles
.01 Led Zeppelin
👍
Would put Sabbath and the who ahead of the stones.
But great list
It annoys me how the Beatles are always number 1 for "best band" - They're overated. Don't get me wrong, they had some brilliant tracks but the who, the stones, the kinks, Pink Floyd etc created more songs of a higher quality.
It's just because the Beatles were lucky when they came on the scene because music had dried up at that point - that's why they get so much fake attention. I'd put them at number 5 in my opinion...
totally agree mr sloth
+Sarcastic--Sloth Music dried up at that time? lol
You may want to dive deeper into the Beatles library. Everyone has heard hey Jude and something but when you listen to some of their great tracks like hey bulldog and a day in the life you can understand why they aren't overrated
They were lucky any came on at the right time and probably are overrated like a lot of things but they've definitely more good songs than anyone
Spencer FoxDavis Tomorrow never knows, strawberry fields forever blah blah blah. Yes, I've heard their psychedelic songs and some of it's pretty good. Still overated.
The rankings are subjective...My only complaint is there is no mention of The Animals, Cream, or Muse.
Yes! Muse should have at least been an honorable mention!
muse are shit. theyre like dr who in band form.
