Her telling the United States that her premiership was ended by trans activists just shows how little regard is given to the truth these days in the pursuit of power.
The entire left couldn't muster up the ability to get Corbyn into power but somehow a handful of activists managed to topple the Government. Lettuce Liz has wilted off the boundaries of sanity.

I went to see Bernie Sanders in Liverpool on Tuesday night and he was very fearful of Trump getting into power and the threat that he and the far right would would have on democracy in the USA and around the world.

I have not read your book James, but I have read Plato's middle dialog, better known as 'The Republic'. In it Plato outlines five regimes of government, and the order in which he considers they will occur. To be brief, the 4th form of government, following the decay of the first three, is Democracy - The rule of the many. In Plato's view this will only last as long as it takes for a small group, probably led by a single powerful figure, to be elected, and then change the rules to create the 5th form of government, Tyranny - The rule of ONE: Dictator for a day? Have we arrive at a Platonic tipping point?
Some might suggest that such a transformational strategy has already been trialled in 1933. That change of government in Germany led onto creeping military incursions into other counties, something we are witnessing today. History cannot repeat itself, in virtue of being in the past, but the same flawed human psychology can lead to very similar ends.

I have to question the intelligence of anyone who uses the word "woke" or any or its portmanteau offspring such a "wokenomics" (as Truss does in this viseo).
