The breakdown of the move and exercises for understanding the different parts are so helpful! The few times my coaches have had us practice loops they've just shown the loop, and I don't really understand it. Thank you for helping to make figure skating accessible to more people! I'll definitely try this next time I'm skating!
I would love a similar video about choctaws, because they are so hard to understand. I can sort of go from backwards outside edge to forward inside edge on the other foot, and I understand the theory of how to get back to backwards outside edge on the first foot, but I have absolutely no idea how to actually do it. 😅 Any tips or exercises would be very much appreciated! ☺️

This is right on time - I've been working on these for a while - including at last night's 🛼session, lol... I have trouble accelerating out, but I'm sure I'm going to nail it now that I understand the breakdown and exercises. The examples on where to use them are all really beautiful and super-inspirational, can't wait to work these in. I'm an artistic roller skater and really love the way you teach - and for those that didn't realize, virtually everything on ice translates to roller, especially body position, edges, pressures, technique - okay, maybe everything! 🤗

Stacey, I'm finding my weight shift onto the front of my skate about a third into the turn and then going into a skid a little bit. When pressing into the turn should your weight center toward the back of the skate or the heel for the duration of the loop? Is it the the same as the entrance to the loop jump?

See if you can keep the pressure more towards the inside of the blade and don’t be afraid to go on your toe pick while learning it 👍💜 keep us updated on the loop

Would you do a breakdown of the footwork at the end of the back inside loop video?

i've been too scared to try these, so thanks for breaking it down and making it less daunting to start. :-)

Awesome video, thank you so much! Love the step-by-step breakdown of the movement and ways to drill it to get comfortable.
Would you say that each of the four loop types share a lot of the core movements? Assuming we could get comfortable with this back inside loop, does that help with e.g., the forward inside loop as well?
