You're anxious about the app because you have to put in all your credit card and information and everything is vulnerable including your bank account. Wouldn't do it and I never will do it.
Personally I hate having to use these apps and I'm here to try to learn to use this but it makes me angry that we can't just pick up the phone and just call a place ask them a question and place the order . I really miss how we could just do that and to me the restaurants who don't use regular delivery people and make us use the apps I feel so the customer that they really don't value us . Also a lot of them are too stupid to know that they lose roughly at least 25% of their revenue through these apps and that these companies always end up screwing over their own delivery people I have looked at a number of videos for family members who were thinking of doing it to make extra money and didn't have the time to watch the videos and I had to tell them they would be better off just trying to work for a place that lets the delivery person work for the restaurant
Elijah I can't explain how much I appreciate you for this video. I have bad anxiety now, especially when doing something I've never done before, and double especially when it involves interacting with somebody else. I feel like I need to try so hard to seem like a normal person, one of my biggest fears is being somewhere and everyone knows what to do _but_ me. This information was invaluable, and thanks to you (and a friend who sent a gift card), I just had fresh and hot Taco Bell delivered after midnight on the day my car broke down! And my driver did not text/call to say a single word! 5☆ all around 😭🤧🤗❤🌮 No exaggeration, I could not have done this without you.
Excellent video & totally comprehensive. It took me through 6 other videos until I found this fellow’s COMPLETE DOOR DASH EXPLANATION! So appreciate your thoroughness. 👍🏻
Please as a dasher I ask everyone to turn on their outside lights. I find that a lot of people don’t and it makes it really difficult to find your address. Thank you!
Still the same method in how to properly place orders through this app. Even from a dashers perspective, it's great to give the paying customers the entire aspect.
That was fabulous - you have a future in broadcasting!!! Quick question: I’ve found in Google searches there are three buttons to choose to sort restaurants by delight score speed and delivery fee but can’t find them in the app. Where is the sort button? I’m hoping there is one because I don’t want to have to scroll through loads of restaurants and the filters are not specific enough or sorted. Again your video was really really good!
The estimated time thing is mostly based on the tip you provide the driver he didn't mention that if you don't tip you most likely going to wait for a long time to get your food and it's going to be code
Question, do I need to have the Customer Ordering App on my Phone or can I use my PC, Laptop, or Tablet to place an order ? Thank you and thanks for the video too, any difference in using Doordash in 2023?
I’m very curious how long it will take for your order to arrive if you did not place a tip for your driver? ? I am a doordash driver & I never accept an order without a tip, i dont care if it’s 10 feel - I refuse!
I take all orders, including those with no tip, as long as it’s close. Here’s why: Doordash is using an algorithm (like all apps) in order to determine who gets the big orders and to be fair to all dashers, so everyone earns well enough. If you refuse small orders, you’ll also be losing out on big tip orders. Also, have you seen the benefits to being a top dasher? It’s awesome!
I have the same question and more. I’m new to this, and I want to know I’m tipping as best I can, but I can’t find answers. Probably only use it for emergencies. With a family member in the hospital and things being out of control and being overwhelmed, I’ve used door dash about 4 or 5 times. I get my food but not sure if my dasher is getting enough of a payment.
I hate ordering from DoorDash because they have contactless delivery but that isn’t good for me because they drop the food off take a picture and leave they never knock on the door and let you know they are here with your food they just put the food outside take a picture get back in the car and keep it moving which means that you will have to be looking out the window when they are on their way to catch them at the door because if you do that
Very nice. Is there a way to make it to where a certain driver can't accept your order. That experience is fairly old now but it lead to me deleting the app and i would like to start using it again
Is there a difference of restaurants shown between the Android and IPhone users? I noticed a restaurant when I searched on my iPhone but couldn't find the restaurant on my Android phone.
Hi! I was wondering if you can pay on DoorDash with a restaurant gift card by example a Starbucks gift card can I pay for Starbucks with that gift card on DoorDash?
I’ve have done 80 orders and I only have 5 reviews all 5 star but I usually get there before the time and keep it hot and under my car feet heater, I wish they did it more. I was thinking of maybe leaving a card asking them to rate a 5 if they were happy. But I’m scared ppl will be mad bc covid but then again the bag has been in a restaurant and a me so it’s kinda like the same thing but I haven’t decided if I should do it
That's a weirdly low amount of reviews. I did 48 dashes so far & have 14 reviews. All in the past week. I use the hot 🎒 & take it up to customers door, etc so they see I keptnit warm. I know one guy on here messages after each order & politely asks for a 5 star review. I have mixed feelings about that, but if it works for him then great. Maybe you could try that first.
@WrongOpinion I firmly believe it depends on the market so I've been doing this now for just over a year along with like several other gig apps and I get a lot of reviews I think it's because I'm out in the burbs I firmly believe it depends on the market so I've been doing this now for just over a year along with like several other gig apps and I get really a lot of reviews I think it's because I'm out in the burbs

@WrongOpinion yeah but then they will see you didn't tip and treat your order differently (if they're the type), no? I thought drivers accepted orders based on tips? I wanted to tip in person too. Do you really get 100% of the tip?
Yes, and if it’s less than $2/ mile I decline the order ( In a door dash driver) I can tell if the customer did not tip, I decline it quick, not a lot of drivers will accept a no tip order so your order might take very long to get to you.
