Great video! How does the KS112 compare to the Bose Sub2?

Thanks for watching, Mr Weiss! I don’t have a Bose Sub2 to run a sound comparison against but if I could compare these two subs I would.
That said my choice was the QSC KS112 sub because of the casters, traditional look (form factor), and that it sets me up for future growth/expansion of my system for bigger venues. Right now, it suits my current needs for low end blend with the BoseS1 Pros while also setting me up for expansion if and when I can invest in higher capacity tops and another Ks112.

Eduardo , I’ve just bought a pair of S1 Pro and S1 sub, can you show me how to conect both of the systems to a Mac laptop? Or should I need a mixer ?

Congrats and thanks for watching. I don’t have a S1 Sub but I would recommend stereo cable from your laptop to left and right input on your S1 Sub, then xlr outputs left and right to each of your Bose S1 Pros. If your S1 Sub supports High Pass Filter to the outputs then I recommend using that to protect your S1 pros.

Dude, do you think this set can handle outdoor party usage around 50 people?

Yes, I've played live music and dj sets for up to 75 or so in a wine bar. when i turn the speakers outward then people on both sides can hear from afar in outdoors setting. It's not gonna be club feel loud but the bass and frequency spectrum will be good quality. You will have to protect your tops from bottoming out by cutting out the bass to them with inline hi pass filters, adjusting the bass eq, and/or adjusting on the source music. Cheers.

@@eduardoborjas9284 this means the bass sound /low frequency offer too much power so that we need to prevent adding highly EQ with unconsciously? 😂
It’s pity still not having club like loud though. Thanks for your kindly response anyway.

Wondering if you turned off the sub, how does the audio outputs can be delivered to both of bose s1 pro? Since you setup this way, you lost the Bluetooth features,

Hi thanks for watching! Good question. The Sub outputs (channels A and B) are both pass through, and they pass the signals on the inputs (A and B) even if the sub is powered off. I like this design, which means that the Bose S1 Pro tops will get a signal through the connections even if the sub shuts off. And yes, with this connection set up I’m not using the Bluetooth feature of the Bose S1 Pros.

@@eduardoborjas9284 thank you for your information. I have Bose Sub1, I am not sure if it has the same features as your sub.

I buy the s1 pro plus there not loud enough to cover 100 people with vocals. And there made in china and the cheapest speakers u can buy in china

I understand. Every speaker has its limits/strengths based on the system it is used with. I found that my two BoseS1Pros are very good for about 50-75 people (very clean with low noise), especially when I block the very low frequencies with an inline filter, or better yet with an active crossover. Then I can increase the volume on the boses1pro for larger crowds. I can also roll off the bass knob to help prevent low freq overload.
For 100 people or more I suggest look at larger three way speaker cabinet like QSC 10.2 or 12.2. Good luck.

Mahalo! I recently saw some cocktail hour performers at a hotel in Kona! One guy was using what looked like a Bose Sub L1 Array. It sounded nice up close but lost impact from afar. Another guy had 2 QSC KS12 tops and that was nice and loud from pretty much all distances where I could see the performer!
