I have and prefer the original S1 because of the treble/bass/reverb controls, I know where they are and there's no need to have to bend over in dim light and see what function they're currently on. Edited 24 Dec 2024: I bought 2 Bose S1 pros+ yesterday and tried to get a good sound, I couldn't find. I took them back today and got the L1 Pro 8 which I should have done to begin with. Plus the Bose S1 Pro+ sounded tinny compared to my original S1 Pro when playing guitar though it and yes I tried everything. One more note: If you want to connect 2 of these so you get all the inputs transferred over from the main unit you have to use a cord or buy the wifi adapters. Bluetooth will only allow sound to both when paired in bluetooth from the bluetooth source. Ie. your phone.

Actually the Bose S1 Pro does connect to the Bose connect app and that allows you to create a stereo pair between two units for Bluetooth streaming. Once they are linked you can still use the two channels on each unit independently of the stereo pair. This is ideal for two musicians sharing a backing track.
It does not connect. I am so upset about this as I had to do an event and had that speaker ( the only one available that would ship over night) delivered on the day of and BOOM, I hit a wall.
This is a great analysis of these 2 products from Bose. I currently have the Bose S1. I am extremely happy with it. I do however love the additions made in the Bose S1 Pro +. Thanks for the review. I gig with an S1Pro daily. I have to use an impedance-matching transformer to get enough volume from my microphone. I've tried different mics, with the same results, way too low of volume output, and with no phantom power on either, I'm considering going to the JBL Compact. But, I really like the Bose. Any advice?
@@23eightfive I have since purchased the S1 Pro Plus, and I can verify that the Plus has corrected the low output issue with the S1. I agree you either have a lemon or have need to reboot your S1..note you should of kept S1 plugged in on charge mode when nor in use otherwise risk a low volume r/t battery damage..😅
I use the Bose Tonematch as a mixer for 4 S1 Pro speakers to get "stereo" output from my laptop. With this configuration, I connect a USB cable from my laptop to the USB port on the Tonematch. I am using aux channel for acoustic guitar and channel one for vocal, leaving channel two open for an additional mic for when needed (I have a second vocalist that joins me when she can). Hi! Which of the 8-inch or 6.5-inch battery-powered speakers can sound a city square near or at a great distance, like, for example, the Everse 8 in this street version? When a backing vocalist with a speaker is both nearby and from afar, his music is clearly audible. ua-cam.com/video/yoybdtGrRm4/v-deo.html What else is similar to Everse 8? There is no need for a compact Jbl EON One. I have been using it for 3 years and have already sold it because it is twice as quiet as Everse 8. The speaker must be loud, compact and light so that the musician can transport it on a special cart (this can also be seen in the video). Will the 6.5-inch Bose S1 Pro Plus speaker be enough on such a city street ua-cam.com/video/uJeYJNi0bb8/v-deo.html Where is another musician playing guitar and singing in Everse 8?

This is something I’d like to try soon. Thinking about picking up another unit..
I just want a small DJ “booth” monitor for mobile gigs. This thing fits the bill over my crappy Mackie SRM150.
This would make a great monitor!
I’ll stick with my original S1-pro 👍. Faster and easier without the Led display 👍
Depending on how you’re using the unit the old controls could be beneficial.
The S1 Pro and the S1 Pro+ won't pair in party mode. Bose connect has all other Bose Bluetooth speakers but it does not list the S1 Pro+. That's such BS. Why would Bose do that?
Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought several people have stated Bose fixed this in a software update?
if you find it, let me know.

Great video. Clicking of Logo a deal breaker for me! :)
I'm not sure it's a deal breaker haha but it is excessively loud I think.
The old Bose model is the best.
They are all good!
Dump my S1 pros for everse 8, best decision ever made.. the effects bank alone on the everse are concert grade..
Thanks, I’ll have to take a look at this.
Don’t do it Everse 8 Suck
Excuse me its posibal pair bose s1 pro and bose s1 pro plus by bluetooh?
No
@@WWeiss-nv5vz thank very much
I have not been able to get this to work myself. Maybe Bose will have a update to their app to allow this one day.
how about via a cable? will left right function work?@@23eightfive
The controls are on the wrong side for a guitarist .. would be better to use your right hand with speaker facing audience
Can you pair the s1 and s1 pro plus together?
Currently in the Bose app no, but you can use the two units together with a mixer of some sort.
It's not a big change, they had to put in the mixer, delay, harmony.., They changed the buttons , that's all
brother! thank you for the vid. very insightful. do you also recommend the s1 pro plus as a versatile home speaker? casual listeming for rnb, classics or all pretty much all genre? with occassional videoke... small living room space. thanks in advance! watching from the Philippines
I put my s1 pro s on stands. No bending over
I do this too but unfortunately the strands I use are very high and i can’t reach the controls
Really? The logo switch seems aggressive to you? Are you that fragile? 😂🤣
I just feel at this price point and a company like bose they could have done better!
Why would it evan be an issue seems petty to me
I actually really like the loud click of the logo, it sounds solid!
He missed the mark completely by not giving details on sound difference versus options which he was more focused on.
The only reason I didn't go in to more detail on the actual audio output is how I use the unit myself. I did touch on my experience with trying to get the bass where I wanted though. But thanks for you feedback.
