Ahhhhh. Train. I spent a lot of time on trains as a kid since my father worked for the railroad. I never even realised how soothing I found the noise until now, 35 years later. Thank you, Get Sleepy and Thomas, for reminding me of a pleasant memory.
The artworks are absolutely gorgeous. They remind me of 1920s or 1940s travel posters or advertisements - the type you might find in a Life Magazine or The National Geographic. Of course, the stories are lovely - especially for insomniacs such as myself. Thank you kindly for helping me to fall asleep. I LOVE this one!! Went to Florence Italy with my Dad years ago to visit Aunt who lived there. Saw the David and is now my favorite statue. Was mesmerized. David is so beautiful. And Iove trains, so there. Hahaha.
Last story, you had simon read. He's good, but bored me to sleep. But thomas never disappoints. the calm is real. The lady who read the alice story reminds me of my mother a little. Very calming also.

Thomas - I cannot say adequately how totally wonderful this episode is. It's very comforting to know that as soon as one story in a city ends, another in a different city begins without lapses in between of just music. Knowing your voice will be there telling a story if I wake up an hour later is a very reassuring security blanket. 😌 I do hope you will create more of these tours through different places with stops in various locales. I'd love to actually get to explore the cities with you Thomas but I've listened at least a dozen times and can't get past the first ten minutes without falling asleep.
I find myself NOT wanting to sleep while listening to THIS one. I have been to Italy twice, as well as France, England, Germany and Austria, in my younger days, and have actually been to some of the places mentioned here. So I want to listen, and relive those times, instead of falling asleep.🤷
