Random Video #4 of yours and I wonder, am I just picking out these amazing musical ones by chance or are all of your videos so magical? Like seriously, I’m really enjoying you content I must say. The sailing footage is spectacular as well which is what I came for. The rest is overwhelmingly satisfying! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Awesome video, great content, music & sailing are like peanut butter & jelly, they just go good together, thank you for sharing, one of the best sailing channels on UA-cam...........
That was a wonderful song... very cool. So, I've noticed that Canadians seem to speak through the end of their sentences. In other words, there's little to no pause at the period before you begin the next sentence when you're speaking. Maya you are a wonderful musician. You know how to communicate so well with your music. Maybe consider not rushing through your narration? None of are going anywhere... you have our attention...
Good to see you back on water! As always, great photo and well told story by you Maya! The song you and your friend perform fits so well and is truly amazing. I’ve just returned from this summer’s sailing with my Vindö 40, a little exhausted by cold weather and some mishaps, but still eager to soon set sails again. You capture the ambivalence with sailing very well, it is almost always challenging, but at the same time it’s so rewarding. Wish you a great sailing season!
Beautiful song and so well recorded I have to believe it was dubbed since there was no wind noise... well done. Great sailing. It’s not easy to keep a boat on course in big following seas... boats usually want to round up and broach.
Thank you! I never dub songs tho. The secret is keeping the mic tucked into my shirt right under the violin. That way it’s hidden from wind, gets a crisp sound, and cuts out most background noise.
Your narrations are wonderful, as is your violin playing. Always enjoy your video's. Your lucky you met your "Captain". I look forward to more video's on your adventure !
Great to see you guys back on the water. Beautiful music reminds me on my sailing days decades ago, makes me a bit melancholic. Greetings from V-Island.
You all are living the life! and you can't get no better than that. if you arms and hands are too sore you can always rig up a home made tiller tamer. NO? btw your friend has a wonderful voice! and that song is pretty cool.
Good thing I’m not your anchor because if I was there one minute after you started your duet I would have pushed the other two overboard !🙂 beautiful! Wow what a ride and yes the more your out there the more you’ll come to know the seas and surf all the way and laugh as you do it! Be safe and stay loving.
Great sailing info. We are a family of 5, just buying our first sailboat. We are new UA-cam friends and just found the Facebook UA-cam sailing channels. I think we are in for a great new community
Aladeno reminds me of a young 'Horatio Hornblower' ( BBC series). keep up the entertaining videos we really enjoy them. We have to live our sailing life through UA-cam at the moment but soon ............... fingers crossed, our boat is waiting we just need time.
What a wonderful crew. I think we all would love to be there with you. I have noticed that Canadian women are very chill, but still have a very high sense of adventure, and beautiful to boot. Thinking a trip to Canada is in order. Peace!
Who knew,Magic Carpet is a speed demon.That crossing was a mixed bag,but that's sailing,and all's well that ends well,everyone's safe,the boat came to no harm👍
Hello friends, I do not become a patron because I'm unemployed, sorry. But I love following youtube. In this video, I loved to hear the girl singing. So, like the sound of the guitar and violin. You have quality music, Congratulations to all of you. Sympathy and good taste, enchant our hearts.
most beautiful chapter i never seen , really a felt in love with magic carpet now, next time you come back to the mediterraneo sea in spain may be we can make a sailing together with my HR 29 boat ...
Can't do Patreon, alas, I have an Irish channel that I support (in a very small way). But I love your channel. Maya can wax lyrical from time to time, and it is a pleasure to hear.
I assume comments are worth something in UT's calculations so I'm placing one here. Not that I couldn't otherwise. You tell a great story. Your studies have paid off for us.
Hi guys, Great video as always. Love this way of telling us your stories. I’m preparing my 28 feet boat (and myself) for a trip to the Med starting in 18 months from now. Just one question. In your video as from 10:08 when you interview your friend I can hear in the background the auto-tiller working like hell. It seems that it has to compensate the course a lot due to the waves and wind. I would advise you to calibrate and trim the auto-tiller with as a result it will compensate with less and minor steering. And of course it will consume a lot less power. Enjoy, greetings and maybe we’ll meet in the Med.
There's a line in a shanty- "There's nothing quite like pitching along at danger'ous speeds, with my hand on the tiller of my sky blue Westerly..." I've hit 11 knots in my Tartan 33 but realize that this speed is the SOG, not "through the water." It was exhilarating.
11.4 knots is really motoring for a monohull. She's built for speed obviously. I follow an Australian couple with a similar size boat & at 5.5 -6 kts their scuppers are in the water ! Alardino chose wisely :)
If you have not figured it out all ready, with the Vindö range of boats (along with a few other Swedish manufacturers) the size (32 in your case) is the design size of the main in square meters.
I just noticed your compass has a bubble, take it off, turn it over take the little screw out, check that the fluid is oily and if it is(90% chance it is) fill it with lamp oil. I was advised to put oil & compass in the fridge before I filled ours? Aladeno probably already knows this. Fair winds.
Very nicely done, absolutely loved it! Excellent work on the shooting, narration, editing, etc. How do you get such great sound on the song you recorded? Were you just using a shotgun mic? Thanks for sharing these wonderful stories.
Maya, I just found out that you do not get credit for a positive thumbs up unless the viewer watches all ads and does not skip them. You might includer this somewhere in each episode.

Thank you all so much!
I can never decide if I watch your videos for the sailing or for the music, both are incredible!!
You guts need to work on a new language, Pirate talk:

-Heave Ho - Put your back into to it
-Pillage - Rob or plunder
-Savvy? - Do you understand/gree?

-Shiver me timbers! - Oh my god

-Scurvy dog - the pirate is talking directly to you with mild insult

You hit something very special in this video I think. Sweet and powerful at the same time!
Thank you so much Alain! -Maya
Fantastic song.
Chills on that song you wrote with your friend . That is the music video right there . Certainly can sell that .
Beautiful song and please tell your friend she has a magical voice!
Thank you Gary, and I will do!
Gary Wyatt ...don’t we need a record to purchase ?
Your friend has an absolutely amazing voice, she really is an incredible singer.

Aw thank you so much!! I'm so happy you're enjoying the videos :)
I have been binge watching. This is better than anything in Netflix. Safe travels!
I'm an old Gaff rigged boat sailor.
Admiring your calm and able approach to everything. Well Done you two. John Shaw. Ireland
Fantastic song! I loved it!! She has a wonderful voice!
What an absolutely beautiful moment when the seeds of hopes and dreams shared has blossomed into reality shared.
Great song you two preformed!
Nicely recorded; especially considering you were under sail at the time, ha!
Thanks 😁
Thank you so much!! I’m very glad you enjoyed it!
Seems like albums could generate great money of these beautiful tunes among the boat. Waves crashing behind the songs add to the beauty.
great video, great song, and echoing the comments from before, a great voice!
100 thumbs UP! for the beautiful music. Magical!
Best music on UA-cam. Soothing and wonderful.
Great song! Put that song on your album. It's well written.
Lovely!!!! Your friend has such a honest heart felt voice!!

What a beautiful song by you and your friend!
Wonderful song beautifully sung by Marina. Thanks for sharing 🏴⛵️
What a gorgeous song 😍
Marina has an amazing voice and your narration is on spot to capturing the moment.
A beautiful ode. The musical interlude was grand.
Fantastic!

Excellent story telling, beautiful singing and nice scenery

Two excellent women that can helm in heavy downwind. Respect ladies, lovely to see marina handling the carpet like a dinghy x
What a beautiful song! 🎶🦋🌈💜
Definately a very enjoyable EP. Again the music so beautiful and you girls wrote it.
Damn good video! You captured the moment, I felt like I was there with you all listening to the beautiful music.
Or in this case, since there was no violin, one mic is hidden just behind the guitar and another is tucked into marena’s dress to record her voice
Wonderful!!! Thanks for the composition, lovely song
Your first 30 seconds of your opening covered 40 years of my sailing!
your friends voice is as beautiful as the voice from your violin strings!
Your narrations are wonderful, as is your violin playing. Always enjoy your video's. Your lucky you met your "Captain". I look forward to more video's on your adventure !
It doesn't get any better than this, Maya you are an incredible storyteller and musician. Beautiful folks.
As usual a joy to watch. The song was like listening to song birds in the evening. Simply enchanting. Keep it up
What an amazing group! Singing and playing are wonderful and then the great narration you do. I love it.
11 knots is crazy in a tiny Sailing Vessel like Magic Carpet. Glad you had fun!
OMG what a voice she has,wau lady, magic!!! Totally got me mesmerised (happens almost never with me) ..the guitar skills are also really admireable
Great to see you guys back on the water. Beautiful music reminds me on my sailing days decades ago, makes me a bit melancholic. Greetings from V-Island.
thank you so much sailing magic carpet... whenever I am stressed out I watch you guys and I feel so much better after
You all are living the life! and you can't get no better than that. if you arms and hands are too sore you can always rig up a home made tiller tamer. NO? btw your friend has a wonderful voice! and that song is pretty cool.
Absolutely beautiful video.....I love all types of seascapes....the language and diction from Maya are perfect......cherry on top
Well done...Truly Magic carpet
And the signing-guitar duo...lovely!
Cheers
Thanks for sharing the singing and playing, you guys are really good..!! Those waves were really scary, great video.
Good thing I’m not your anchor because if I was there one minute after you started your duet I would have pushed the other two overboard !🙂 beautiful! I love the song its been great seeing your adventures ,look forward to your next video .good luck on the waves .
So good to see you back on the water, enjoy while you can
Nice job on the sailing guys. Looks like MC handled the swells very well.
Beautiful.
I love sailing with a tiller. Compensating over each wave while maintaining course either visually or by compass an art. Or a race.
Really Nice sailing spirit! Greetings from Brasil!
And I love so much the music!
What a wonderful video. Thank you.

Lovely episode! Nice to see you at sea again! Funny, my auto tiller was far better than me at keeping me straight in a following sea!
So Good, my girlfriend questioned me "what are you watching, what is making you smile like that?"
There's a line in a shanty- "There's nothing quite like pitching along at danger'ous speeds, with my hand on the tiller of my sky blue Westerly..." I've hit 11 knots in my Tartan 33 but realize that this speed is the SOG, not "through the water." It was exhilarating.

Probably they are beating and not having the wind and seas behind them. That is why

As the man with the camera said “Fantastic” song!
Good song
Thanks for sharing! Isn't the wind vane good enough for steering the boat under hard wind and heavy seas?
Slovenly song beautiful voice also guitar accompaniment
Nice song Talented
Great Song beautiful
Bravo !!!
Don't you wish a much larger boat had fallen from that crane? :o)
I would buy that tune beutiful
What brand is your wind vane and why don't you use it when the wind pipes up?
Are you less likely to get seasick if you're in the driver seat, just like in a car?
Maya, I just found out that you do not get credit for a positive thumbs up unless the viewer watches all ads and does not skip them. You might includer this somewhere in each episode.
Beautiful moonlit sea👍
Great song you performed, but why you didn´t use your windvane, in strong winds it steers more exactly than we could do.
Did UA-cam start requiring channels to keep repeating intros at the beginning? It seems that every channel started doing this about a month ago.
Beautiful song and please tell your friend she has a magical voice!
