We have been binge watching your channel for about a week now. Love the way you narrate Maya. Aladino you remind me of our son-in-law, a cabinet maker. When I see you fuss over small details, measure and measure again I'm reminded you have the same attention to detail. We were in Maddalena Island back in the 1990s - our first introduction to Italy. We were fascinated with the history. The Etruscans left some buildings behind and the civilization was precursor to the Romans. We are Canadian, and our sailing experience is with an 18' day-sailer on freshwater lakes in Alberta! Envy you both. Keep up the good work!
I'm busy trying to pull together a list of my top 10 UA-cam channels and your channel is definitely on my list! This 58 year old junior high school teacher finds your channel soothing, interesting and relevant! I often feel as if I have been traveling after spending time watching your videos. Even though I can safely say that I have no intention to ever sail the seas, I do enjoy the variety of topics, the beautiful filming, and lovely story-telling. Keep up the great work!
Maya, I just stumbled upon your channel a couple weeks ago, your voice is like a lullaby, so gentle and soothing. the content of the video is also very satisfying . Thank you for your efforts.
New shoes, a net full of veggies & fruit, and Gigantic smiles ! All the things as viewers that we enjoy seeing and knowing that you guys are healthy and well.
Watching you guys using your talents, skills, and happiness to create these posts is most refreshing. I congratulate you on not succumbing to the temptation, as many others do, of using your beauty to "click bait", more viewers. As someone else has said here, wholesome and happy. Thanks
Amazing.! Not only learning about sailing but also history of every other amazing spots 🤩🤩 thank u again Maya and Dino for sharing it to us a new idea and great history to us 😊😊 angelic voice 😍
Thank you for treating us with another dose of your much appreciated eye candy we all impatiently are longing for!😉😄 You are such a fantastic team with your artsy editing skills Maya and Aladino with those spectacular drone shots, apart of all the other talents you already have. Magic Carpet might be small little yacht, but it sure is a beautiful gem of a boat, congratulations. Btw rumor has it there is some RAGUSA on the way to ease those 🇨🇭 chocolate cravings.😋
Ahh I love your videos so much! I had fallen behind and just binge watched a bunch of episodes and it's just so nice to follow your adventures; the production quality is perfect and the story telling is very immersive. I wish you both the best!
Aww wow thank you SO much! Thank you so much for watching them all and for taking the time to comment and tell me. It makes me so happy to hear that you enjoy them! -Maya
Oh no! You rascals! Another cliff hanger, exciting and excellent Friday evening entertainment, better than the TV any day, another place for the bucket list!
Wow, really Beautiful video, The smile on your face Maya / eating that chocolate ice cream was priceless. keep enjoying you guys / love it .... p.s Maya it is still cold in Canada burrrrrrrrrrr
I just wanted to say how much I appreciated the time you spent editing instead of enjoying the sunshine and your videos are AMAZING but I have only got one thing and I DO NOT MEAN ANY OFFENCE but what does "groceries" mean I am from England and i know they r either supermarket or small shop. And ur smile is contagious.
Love your vlog’s ♥️😇🌹- this one especially - the photography is amazing - although all your work has been very good this one is a different level....Look out Mr Spielberg !! X 😍♥️😇💐🌹
Maya`s favourite word in this episode.... "perfect", and this video? Also, "perfect"... funny how that would be, eh? Much Love from Mexico! xo (Still trying to catch up but don´t want to miss even one!)
Thank you SO much for your excellent craft of story telling and the passionate pursuit of adventure you two share! And thank you for allowing me to peer out through the camera lens. Pure artistry!
Non vorrei essere nelle condizioni di quei 10 "frustrati che hanno cliccato pollice in giu. PS. Ciao ragazzi, vi seguo sempre con grande ammirazione siete la coppia di navigatori più bella del mondo. Continuate così.
I’ve always just said to myself stay between the two channel markers and you’ll be good to go. As long as you have a red and green to either your right and left your ok.
I never knew that navigation buoy colours were reversed in America. Basic maritime rules & regulations are usually the standardised throughout the world and was extremely suprised when you mentioned it. I wonder how many sailors have been caught out by it ?
Interesting that at least 2 guys put a thumb down on this video. Why that? Jealousy? Or just idiots? I admit that I'm a little bit jealous, by the way. OMG I can literally smell the warm salty air in the evening (20 years ago I sailed down the west coast of Italy a bit). It was very, very nice.
Hi. So envious of both of your adventures, narrative compliments the videos which are informative and entertaining and professional. Looking forward to further videos in exited anticipation. Do you have plans in 2020 to visit some of the Greek islands? Equally steeped in history with friendly people.
Bravissimi con quella Barchetta siete dei veri Esploratori. La musica di sottofondo bellisima I joined the Sea Shepherd I keep a watch on u.Sherzo Saluti.
The North America's navigation marker and lights, often quoted as "Red Right Return" stems from the days America was a British colony.. As such, an outward journey from a N American port was a return to England, or Europe, hence the colours are the wrong way around in the Americas... So leaving the US is considered returning to Europe.. That is as I understand it..
Being auxiliary coast guard....having a boating license...and a retired ship agent... I had known idea the channel markers where different.....I thought everyone followed Red right return...🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Great video, great visuals and terrible bread... BTW normally we pay by weight for bread so maybe you didn't get as ripped off as you think... i'll hopefully be up in la maddalena this summer, what are your plans?
Wonderful video, it looks really great. That's my favorite season down there (and in Corsica) after most of the seasonal tourists have left. It seems you are posting 4 months after filming. Too late to tell you to watch out for the French drone regulations that you need to be aware of if filming in Corsica or the mainland. Hope you were aware of them :)
Out of curiosity what miles to UK gallon ( liters per 100 Kilometer / liter per hour at what speed RPM )for your engine and what engine and prop . Fuel cost 168 euros per liter (o ~7.7 euros a UK gallon or $ 6.75 a USA gallon ) eeekk makes motoring a tad expensive . In summer the med isnt known for lots of wind to push sail boats along so engines tend to used alot on sailboats there . In France and Sardina french zone the fuel is not the tax free marked fuel red or green but the full price road fuel as per communist EU regulations pleasure boats dont get marine fuel rates . The med tends to be lot of motoring . I hope to get there with my 30 foot 18 hp Yanmar (estimate by previous owner 2 liters per hour at 5 knots ~ 12 MPG UK gal ) means I am going to have to get a pair of oars or skull oar when the wind doesn't blow . I cant risk to carry on deck the cheaper Euro 0.80 cent a liter marked fuel as the french customs (Douane) when I arrive in France to go through the canal system will fine me severely if there is marked fuel on my boat .Keep up the good work on the youtube and other links
there is plenty of wind in mediterian all summer, just be willing to wait out 3-4 day calms here and there, given u can wait few days u can never turn engine on

Ahh, the memories come flooding back, I'll go get my charts out from when I too found how beautiful the area is. Literally a one donkey island.

Such an Epic adventure. Go on with your bad selves. Be happy, be safe.
From these rocky islands and anchorages, I think you'd like the West Coast of Scotland... it's obviously colder, but ever so beautiful!
This is a blessed and "PERFECT" video.........
Yeah, I could definitely spend a month there. Looks magical!
Absolutely fantastic 😍
Love your vlog’s ♥️😇🌹- this one especially - the photography is amazing - although all your work has been very good this one is a different level....Look out Mr Spielberg !! X 😍♥️😇💐🌹

Wow! Grazie Franco:)
You are the best moderator I've ever heard speak on girl and guys.....Cap.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! -Maya
I’ve always just said to myself stay between the two channel markers and you’ll be good to go. As long as you have a red and green to either your right and left your ok.
That works up to a point, but in many places there is only one marker, and you have to know which side to leave it to!
Peanut curry that’s interesting I must give this ago. 👍

Maya, is that a banjo during the sunset shots?
Great video! Thank you. Can you please tell me which episode is it where you’re both playing your instruments? (You mentioned it in this video.)
What drone are you using? The footage is awesome!
Thank you! It's a Mavic Pro :)
Great video, great visuals and terrible bread... BTW normally we pay by weight for bread so maybe you didn't get as ripped off as you think... i'll hopefully be up in la maddalena this summer, what are your plans?
Oh maybe we did pay by weight, I don’t remember! We won’t be in the Mediterranean next summer - more on that soon!
Gorgeous...
Hi whats the internal headroom, looking at a vancouver 27 but yours is prettier,, and I'm 6ft 2... thanks
About 5.9 is best not to duck or touch but everything over is too much.
Quite nice for a boat this size! Lucky we re both 5.9 and under:)
@@SailingMagicCarpet thanks , keep safe, bad asthma, I'm in lock down not allowed out of the house,,bored to , well .....again thanks
"Do not pee in my wetsuit!" Lol
did anyone else notice how the town looked a lot like the town in the Studio Ghibli sea town in Kiki's delivery service?
yeh, ok, no probs m8s, i'll be back

Considering shipping is truly international, wouldn’t it be nice if bouyage was universal? A guy can dream
the narration microphone that Maya is Very Muddy or is it just me? This episode and the previous sound almost mumbling.
Yes. It's different than in the past videos. I had to turn the treble way up to hear...
