Hukks come in handy for metal roofs. Metal roofs have become a familiar job for me. A bit of a learning curve. Stabilizer for your ladder is a must. No way that first side got rinsed from the ground, just not possible. After putting my hot mix on with my 12v I use a wand with my m5 and go over every inch rinsing A LOT after I cleaned it. That whole roof was walkable. I would have only gone up once and come down when I’m done. I’ve learned much great info from you Fresh. You are one of the first that got me going. Nothing about this job is easy. You Rock Bro
Thanks for the videos Mike! I always pre wet metal to ensure you don’t flash the color, also, keep misting it while it’s dwelling to keep it cool. Not saying it didn’t turn out great, cuz it did just mentioning it. We clean A LOT of metal roofs in Hawaii. Have a great weekend brotha.
“Gotta get that leaf off of there” 6:38 Throws lead back onto roof 😂 Just messing with you. Great video as usual. Thank you for putting out content we can all learn from!
I'm glade you picked up that leaf. I would have been up all night thinking of it. 😮🤣🤣🤣. Nice job good buddy. I'm sure glad the gentleman was not hurt with that fall from the roof.
Hey Rick, I have a question for you. My name is Rick also. On my soft wash system when I spray water, sh and apple wash through it every thing works fine. But if I lay my wand down for a few minutes the apple wash goes back into the tank I have it in and the sh and water stays in the hose but the apple wash takes a few minutes to come back out of the hose. No matter what surfactant I use it always does that
I've always been told, and in turn scared to do so, that to hit a mix will flash the metal or cause rust. I'd be scared to hit it with 6%! Thanks for the knowledge
Great question Rob. Without being a jerk, I would politely pass. I’ve never attempted to wash galvalume, but I’ve never heard anything positive. If you must, my suggestion would be to have the homeowner sign a waiver.
Great video as usual, I just had a question, if no one rarely ever goes over 6% then why does everyone use 12.5% SH, wouldn't 10% work as well it seems easier to find sometimes.....
Great question. 10% is just fine for most projects. My distributor pours 12.5% fresh, right into my tank. And cheaper than I can buy 10% at the pool store
Hey Mike, love your content and your personality. I noticed your first ladder was placed in a way that it could have slipped out from under you. I've heard of it happening far too often! Maybe I'm wrong, but thats how it looked in the video. We don't want The Fresh to get hurt!
@@TheFreshRinse I use to hate them but I’ve been cleaning some 40k + sqft low pitch state building in my area and they pay very well. Did 144k sqft of metal roofs in Feb. best month so far.

I understand. This was just soooo bad.
@@TheFreshRinsehave you ever had issues with hitting metal roofs with such a strong mix?
About how much sh did u use while doing this job
What’s your method and chemicals for unpainted galvalume roofs.

I have done one and dish soap a long painter pole and a soft brush have watch many videos and all gave said no SH

I actually explained that in the video, but I hit the off button instead of the on button. Why? Because I’m a dufus!
Mike, what is the gun you use? I've been using just a ball valve wand and it's not super efficient having to control it with both hands.

What chemical do you use to eliminate the rust ?
Rust Aid from Lowes
mike is ur channel monetized and do you make anything off it?
It is. I do. Very little, but not enough for the hassle. If I didn’t enjoy being so stupid in public, it would be a waste of time. LOL
@@TheFreshRinse nope not if you keep uploading. It’ll start adding up eventually you’ll be sick of washing and just wanting to make vids.

Are there certain metal roofs that will be a problem if they are sprayed with SH?
Galvalume is a no go! Turns dark. No fix. Btdt
Galvalume for sure!
How would you know the metal roof is Galvalume?
@@johnwitt586 You might want to Google that one. There’s a lot out there on that.
Do you not need a mask for SH mix? Or is it fine ?
I do not use a mask. Some do
👍💯🙏✌️
Washing the sides wet keep it from streaking also. For the price it was worth it.
Thank you sir!
Have you heard of a new product called ox Knox from southeast softwash? Brushless product
I have. I watched his latest video. Definitely gonna go that fought the next time I get an oxidation house

6% on a metal roof? I am a bit confused
Yes, way more than necessary. I needed it for the concrete, and just didn’t switch it.
How much sh did it take to do this roof?
I honestly don’t know. I wish I could be specific
do you use the same line you spray your sh with to rinse off?
Yes sir. I switch from SH to water with a flow pro
Comment lol
BOOM!
I just bid a 22,000 sqft metal roof, $6,600
Good job brother!
