alright, contrary to what everyone else is saying i have to agree with you. It might be bias because i used to play on my cousins wii while hiding underneath tables, but nintendo always manages to make some of the most creative and engaging games, without the need for super intense particle effects or graphics.
I hope I win because my Nintendo switch is actually broken because I accidentally dropped it on the ground and it caused the controls to mess up ps I live in North Carolina 😅
I'm somewhat ambivalent when it comes to my opinion on the Switch and retro gaming. There are some real issues. When it comes to video game preservation, only having this subscription model is an absolute no go. For preserving video games as a work of culture, having drm-based digital games already is a big no no. The subscription model is the negative cherry on the top. Additionally, I miss some features that are available with non-official emulation. Firstly, I am a big fan of retroachievements. Also with Retroarch etc. you have much more options when it comes to filters, shaders, bezels, and stuff. Furthermore, there are improvement romhacks like colorizations for GB games. Last of all, I think Nintendo should improve the library they offer within NSO. Don't get me wrong, there already are MANY great games. Especially on NES, SNES and N64, most of the important games are included. For GB and GBA I hope they will improve the game library. But honestly, my opinion is that Nintendo should offer ALL of their games they own the rights to offer them, and they should include these games Day 1. Further additions should be additional third party games they acquired a license for. But I see no reason in excluding games they own, and they are allowed to offer with no cost for them. Releasing additional games one after another is a marketing thing, I get it. But this means I get less value for what I pay for, and marketing purposes aren't a valid excuse for me as a paying customer. But on the other side, you are 1000% right with everything you said. Having one device for handheld and TV gaming is great. Retro controllers are great. The game selection is great on every aspect. NSO already has many great games, and there are so many other retro collections. Remakes, Remaster, Ports, new games, Indies... the selection is gigantic. The Switch is a total game changer for me. Having all of this in one device is so much fun. Also, I also recommend stuff for users that are not used to tinkering and one cannot stress this enough on how tedious this tinkering can be. Especially for non-tech-savvy people. Having a plug and play device like this is so important. At the moment, I always use two devices. The One device is my Nintendo Switch. For a big screen handheld and everything my retro handheld can't offer. The other one is a Anbernic RG353M. For having an nearly endless Retro library, a more pocket friendly device and Retroachievements. For me this is a great combination. I would love an OLED for upgrading my Switch experience and I also would like a Steam Deck or a ROG Ally for more modern emulation on the go, but for budget reasons I am waiting with getting any of those solutions. One accessory I would heavily recommend is a grip. Especially the ones from Skull & Co. I got a grip day 1 I got my Switch and recently upgraded to the one from Skull & Co (the one with interchangeable grip designs). Playing Switch on handheld mode with thos is much more ergonomic. For years I can imagine playing it mobil without them anymore. Anyway, I hope I win. I am still on the V1 Switch with old battery. OLED with battery and this screen would be a life changer for me.
I have been replaying some of my favorite old games in the switch and I love the experience. Right now I just need more GBA games haha but I consider the Switch a great retro gaming experience!
It seems like there are some great ones on the way! We just got Super Mario Advanced 1-3 yesterday! I know a lot of people are excited for Golden Sun too whenever that’s released to the library! Thanks for watching! 😊
@@ScatteredBrain i stil use my Odroid Go Advance to this day because it can play till PS1. I was tempted to buy the Switch Lite or Switch but when i came to know that they gatekeep old games i decided not to Since it will be a waste of money for me personally. Im planning to buy the Anbernic RG505 even though it has a lot of flaws because of its form factor and usability.
@@ScatteredBrain honestly id rather buy any good product from Anbernic or Powkiddy because they dont gatekeep or keep retro games with a paywall like Nintendo Switch
I wish the Vita had more optimized emulators! It sucks that N64 is a pretty nerfed experience. But I do love the Vita and the PlayStation TV! Such a great way to experience Vita and PSP games!
What do YOU think? Is the Switch possibly the best retro gaming console??
The Switch is really cool, but I would have liked to see the wii's back catalog for the retro feel.
Nah it's not.
Need GameCube
@@colelinville7208GameCube games on Switch would be the DREAM!

Nintendo is the best retro console we dont even have to hack it u know good luck to everyone 😊
I dont know, I never played on a switch. ☆ but of ALL times, the Nintendo GameCube has always been the most convenient for me ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ
GameCube has such an AMAZING design that still holds up today!
keep up the good work

Count me in!
No it’s not it’s a weak machine but I do love it
I hope I won 😊
I think the Steam Deck is the best emulation device. For both handheld and Docked play.
I really wish the docking solution was a bit better. The wire hanging from the top is such a downer. If it has a bottom USB C port we’d be all set!
@@ScatteredBrain I think it's a very small inconvenience. A small price to pay for salvation some would say.
